Starting up the 1956 Humber Super Snipe
After a bit of work that we did on the previous video, it kinda ran like crap because of the carby. We had it rebuilt and we re-installed it. Took a bit of tweaking and dealing with oil pressure issues, but eventually it would run by itself. Currently, all the electrics are out of the car so we can install a new wiring loom.

My dad had one of these in Melbourne in the mid 1960s, he used to love it, same colour as this one too. I remember he would let it idle and say 'can you here that?' as it would idle so smooth and quietly.. bit different to the 2016 version. Used to be the poor mans Rolls Royce.
looking good, i hav the exact same model which works perfect, such a good car!
An exhaust pipe would be nice.
So what's happened in the intervening years, got married, had kids etc... oh and the Humber, any news?

I should make another video. It does run/drive/stop. I took it to an event and drag raced it hahah. And I drove it to my new house. But yeah... progress is slow. I do now have a second one and hoping to get this one on the road within the next 18 months... hopefully... but mortgages are painful :)

Well done Matthew, thanks for the reply. Hope she sees the road again, life and mortgages aside. There are a fare few people out there who like this particular series of Humber Super Snipe, incredibly well built with a great 'truck' engine etc. they need preserving. All the very best.
She's crying out for a modern straight six and a auto.
