    I really like the look of the bridge, but the red pipes look to uniform to me. Here in Germany we use dark red pipes for water, green pipes for gas and black and yellow pipes for electric wires. I feel like you could add a color or two to make it more interesting. Keep up the good work!

    In my opinion I’m really not the biggest fan of the black bricks a closed base door that looks like it could handle some damage would look way better. Would also help add more details;) Story/lore wise I don’t think it would be surprising the separatists closed the door with droids still on the outside, maybe even send out a big group of droids to buy more time. Everything else is looking sweet loving the moc so far!

    You can use the macaroni bricks as support pillars, and you can use Slope, Curved 2 x 4 x 2/3 with Bottom Tubes instead of 2x2 slopes. They’re significantly cheaper. Maybe you can use a Bar 12L with 1 x 2 Plate End Solid Studs and 1 x 1 Round Plate End to have a Clone Trooper falling off the big hole!

    Looking dope man, crazy how little things like the pipes and lights make the tunnel more lively. Plus it adds a pop of colour to it. I wonder what took out the chunks of bridges to, could have been anything, a crashing fighter but I imagine they’re reinforced for that. Maybe a large piece of debris from the space battle, maybe a gung ho bombing run, or maybe the droids tried destroying it to slow them down or bottle neck them like a tactical retreat

  • @TheMocMakerStudios
    @TheMocMakerStudios6 ай бұрын

    Something that I think could really add a nice touch to the battle damage on the bridge would be some ball-joints to angle some broken bits downward, the same idea as the wires. They would look as if they're hanging. Ball joints would give you a good range of poseability to make it look like natural damage. The progress is really inspiring! Your dedication helps me get off my butt and build things that I'm putting off. Thank you!

    Tip for the tunnel: i know you have it already built but for the black wall it would look better in my opinion if you did a ring light bluish gray, then dark bluish grey and then fill it with black brick

    The tunnel looks so good. I really like the vent idea. You could mount grill pieces into the wall with some trans orange parts and lighting behind them to help emulate heat. I also think if would be cool if there was a separatist cannon at the tunnel entrance to gun down any advancing republic troops and vehicles. The wires under the bridge is a cool concept. The red ones look good, but the yellow ones are a bit small in comparison. If you copy the red wires layout to the left and right, changing the colors to something like yellow and blue, it will add color to the build and make the wires look more uniform. So far both bridges are looking awesome. The holes are a good idea and size. But, they still look flat from the top, the 1x1 plates and wires also look a bit dinky. I think if you make the 1x1 plates and wires built into the center of the hole and shorter it will help them appear more in scale with the bridge. You could also taper the cut from the top down similar to how you did on the bottom to make the hole look less flat. I think it would be cool if there was debris on the lower bridge that had fallen from the upper bridge. This would be a really cool opportunity to add holes and damage to the lower bridge, I think you should also add a smaller version of the wires to the lower bridge. I’m really enjoying this build so far, it a MOC you don’t typically see done at this scale making it a very impressive and unique build.

    Awesome work! The tunnel looks amazing! I have an idea for more detail inside the tunnel. I have two options for you. First you can add those large crates you used in your jabiim moc to fill out some space in there or if you are looking for something small to fill in there maybe you can put some clone weapon containers or some smaller type of crate to fit inside the entrance! Also you could definitely put some vent pieces on the tunnel floor to add some realism so that the snow as you pointed out could be drained through it.

    Might be a whole week of work for a section of bridge but that looks absolutely phenomenal man! I have a small suggestion for you in regards of the pipes poking out of the bridge, based on my real world experience in laying pipes in industrial and civilian infrastructures. Pipes are never laid side by side with no gap, let say you have two 6" pipe side by side, you'll take half the diameter of the pipes, 3" in this case and that will be the gap in between. So you have room to do maintenance, remove and work the Victaulic and Hugger clamps and also allow place for the instrumentation device that are installed at different point through out the run length of the installation. There's also an almost universal color code in North America, Red being for fire hydrant and suppression system, yellow for natural gas, consumable, grey and brown water will be in black pipes. So maybe of instead adding more pipes so the proportions looks more right to you, you could space them out a bit more in between and play around the color to add variety, Fire hydrant water is usually a redundant system so you'll have a pair of them. I also really like the appearance of the tunnel entry, looking fantastic! I'll send you a DM about the J-1 Cannon, Cheers!

    For the bridge with the pipes you could add special blue and yellow tubing inside the stud holes to and wiring details! Or keep the outside pipes grey and do the same with the Lego wire like pieces. (Not sure what they are called.)

    Looking good! You could put those macaroni bricks to use on the sides of the bridge using the snot technique, instead of ordering more 2x2 curved slopes, it would be more of a curve, but that could still look good on the bigger bridge. Also, those curved slopes are slightly cheaper on the LEGO online pick-a-brick (every cent counts, plus you get VIP points and free shipping if you get enough parts), I find most of the light and dark grey parts are cheaper from LEGO than on brick-link. those slopes can be can be hard to find with the pick-a-brick search though, here is the LEGO terminology >> Plate W.
