I think put your outdoor kitchen a bit closer to the house so that you will not be walking far back and forth . Like where you are cooking on the side...

You should just plant bearing fruit trees. Yes it looks like a jungle and snakes or mosquitoes like that.
If you are going to have plumbing in your new kitchen, I would add a small bedroom and bathroom. If it hurricane etc you are fully covered.
