    Any chance you can show the full install of the Warp 9 Stem Lock? You show knocking out the star bolt and then jump to putting the direct mount stem on. How tight does this need to be? Are my spacers going slightly above the tube and then tighten the nut on top(how tight?). Does not look like there are any instruction or pdf's for this. You guys do stuff fast, some of us need to see it slow. Thanks for all the great content!!!

    Love the chain tensioners. I have the same bars on the gritshift riser stem, I like your warp9 stem better, what did you screw the top cap down to since you drove out the star nut? I'm going with the 48 tooth rear sprocket for now, I'll upgrade possibly later to a higher tooth sprocket, I can wheelie over stuff with the 44 so maybe the 48 will give me a touch more snap. Great vid guys as usual!!

    Talaria Boys, I watched a video yesterday about a guy riding a Talaria; he switched his chain for one that wasn't as stiff. He claimed he was able to get about 4 mph increase in maximum speed. The video looked convincing because it was a before and after type with both chains.

    I’ve swapped to a non o ring chain and noticed as well I had to use less throttle to get to same speeds prior. You’re basically removing a restriction on the chain and getting a much smoother and easier acceleration.

    Try centering your calipers… loosen the 2 Allen’s holding the calipers on, squeeze the brake lever and hold it while you tighten the caliper bolts back down. This should center the caliper and make it to where there is equal space between the pad and rotor, and prevent scrubbing

    What exactly does the stem lock do? I have a direct mount stem and just used the existing steerer bolt. Am I missing something?

  • @DaBinChe

    @DaBinChe

    Жыл бұрын

    since the fork is a bicycle design, the headset is preloaded by the star nut inserted into the steer tube. The star nut isn't as solid, can give and loosen from the vigors of a motor/heavy bike that a star nut was never designed for. The stem lock clamps down from a "nut" that inserts from the bottom of the steer tube so headset holds it preload

  • @AdventureContinuesAgain

    @AdventureContinuesAgain

    Жыл бұрын

    @@DaBinChe Interesting info. Do you think some sort of clamp on the steerer tube where the spacers are would work? Kinda like a seat post clamp....

  • @DaBinChe

    @DaBinChe

    Жыл бұрын

    @@AdventureContinuesAgain That is how a bicycle handlebar clamp works. The star nut only preloads but does not hold the actual forces that is why when you do the direct mount/top triple tree bar clamp you have to do the stem lock too.

    Hey, comparing to the stock sprocket, does the 58 tooth sprocket make the power come too fast and does the rider have to be more careful when increasing the throttle?

  • @Talariaboys

    @Talariaboys

    Yes the power comes on much faster and you need to be careful to not wheelie over backwards, If you arent planning to upgrade your controller I wouldn't go larger than a 52 tooth on the sting R

    No, smaller wheels make the top speed slower so you need a smaller sprocket to go faster. Bigger sprockets make the top speed slower but have more torque.
