    I could kiss you! I’ve spent literally several years fighting my fireplace with what I thought were the standard practices. Yet it was always a battle and so frustrating. Discovered this video two days ago and have done two fires and it is life changing. Very low maintenance and now I can actually enjoy the fire with my family instead of spending an hour desperately scrambling trying to keep it going. Thank you!!!

    My dude, this is the only way to do it. I learned about it from one of my comments when I first posted my "Traditional Method" fireplace video. I am glad it helped, and thank you for the comment and viewing.

    while you obviously don't need help, i've noticed it easier to tear the end of the newspaper so its got more surface area when starting the draft. You want a big push of hot air to get the draft going.

    How long can the fire run? All day and all night for days and days? Or is it important to let the fireplace cool down?

  • @TheAmateursAmateur

    @TheAmateursAmateur

    8 ай бұрын

    That all depends on you and how long you need it to burn. You're gonna have to continue to feed your fireplace with wood. Once you do it a few times, you are gonna know how to time it and feed it. And if you buy those bundles of wood for the stores, buy you a chord of wood from Facebook Market and let it season for next winter. You will save a shit load of money in the long run.

    If you are referring to the ashes, nah. Just shovel it out. However, it's good to keep some ash on the bottom. My fireplace is ashy as hell, but i got this magnetic cover that hides the ashyness and keeps the draft out. This is what i purchased and it's great: Magnetic Fireplace Blanket for Heat Loss - amzn.to/3MzaK6C Fireplace Tools - amzn.to/3g0fH6O I hope this helps and thank you for viewing!
