    I don't mean to stick my nose in, as I know the question was for her, but what exactly are you asking? I sorry if I don't fully understand, but I want too... lol Are you asking how to switch a customer from wearing long coffin to medium coffin? As you kinda of give that example. But at the same time you ask about having raggedy edges... Which is where I get lost.. I mean, if the edges and side walls are not neat, I assume you've dragged over with the polish and or top coat. The solution to that seems kind of straightforward. Don't paint over your edges... lol No offense, but be careful not to hook the brush over the edges or sides of the nail. If you do go over by mistake, which we've all done - then clean it up, before you cure it. Use your brush or a wet wipe and clean the sides or underside of the tip before curing. As a last resort, if you didn't realize your mistake till after - then you'll have to, file the over hang with a file. File off everything you need to, to clean up the sides, the tip and underneath the nails. Reshape if needed, and then top coat the nail, yes again... But if none of that is what you were asking - then what are you asking??

    Hi. Stumbled upon your videos and they have been SUPER helpful. Thank you so much. Question: when starting, how many sets should i have premade? Would 30 to 40 be enough? And how common is large size? I am thinking of making just small and medium sized in the beginning.

  • @catpride1323

    @catpride1323

    7 ай бұрын

    I know this question isn't for me, but I come from a business and marketing background, and thought I could help... 😊 In this case I would say 30 - 40 is to many... If were talking of one size and design. You do not want to be stuck with all of that, if it doesn't sell. Plus the cost on that would be so high, you'd need to repurchase all your supplies, just to do a 2nd design. We're also talking in the beginning, if you were established and had a large customer base, the answer would obviously be different. If your gonna do different size sets ( s,m,l ) I would probably do, 5 of ea. at most.. This of course is not knowing your exact situation and all the variables that go with it. But, you want to test the waters, with each design. If one could predict what's gonna be the must have, we'd all be millionaires. So many times we think the popular one be A, and yet it turns out to be C, the one you think isn't so hot !! As for the most popular size, some just say it's medium, but I think it depends on where your clientele is coming from. If your mostly selling to Asia, the popular size will be small. Age will be a factor in that too, we are smaller in our 20s, compared to our 50s... So its gonna depend on your particular market. Hope that helps 😊

    @@catpride1323 hello. First of all thank you so much for taking your time out to respond here even though it wasnt for you but you shared you knowledge with me. Not everyone does that :) Secondly, i meant 30 to 40 sets in total ...that too for a pop shop. Also do you think if i just make 20 piece sets instead of going into s/m/l hassle,that would be more convenient and efficient?

  • @catpride1323

    @catpride1323

    7 ай бұрын

    @@ayeshayounus7539 You are so welcome... 😊 Oh, in total or in all.. well it depends on how many designs. If you had 3 designs, that's 10 sets of each. That's 3 small, 3 med, 3 large, 1 left over to demo. And now, only 2 more designs... That's a small pop up store, .. what happens if you sell out in the 1st, 2 hours. ?? The problem with pop up stores and or crafts shows, its the inventory needed... You need several of each color, in each design in each size. And someone still asks for something you don't have.. lol And out of that - not all is gonna be popular. It will be the red medium... and the green large.. Could you have predicted that?? As for the 20 piece, I do like the idea of it, as its a true grab in go, provided someone doesn't have several fingers the same size. And a lot of people do... Their index finger and ring finger can both be the same size. So then they need 4 per set, and you've only made 2 of each size. Also, its more work, you gotta make 20 nails per person instead of 10. So cost is also higher (double) on your end and the time it takes to make 20, instead of 10. All of which lowers your profit, and ups your sell point. Do not make the mistake of charging for 20, what you would charge for 10, because when you only then sell 10, they will want it 1/2 price!! Also, you don't know their sizes, so unless your just doing sold colors, how do you pick the accent nails. You'll have to do about 4 as an accent nail, and hopefully you guess correctly. Not saying it can't be done, as it can and successfully but there's a lot of planning and figuring out prior to just doing the nails. And some designs just won't be possible without you knowing which size nail, goes where... I know, I didn't give you a clear cut answer, I just told the problems here and there. There is no need to point out the ups as you know them, you pick the right way and it works well. Lol You need to know the downs or the struggles, as that's where your gonna figure out what it is thats best for you. Devils advocate as they say... Now the good thing about a 20 piece set, is people should learn their size from it. You could start off with 20s, and then move people into a custom 10. Or, keep it a 20, but 20 in their size, now that you know them. 😊 Even with a sm, med, and lg system, if the people stay with you, you will learn their sizes, then they can be custom sets.. Its getting them to come back and work with you, so you can provide them, exactly what they want, and what fits... :) I am not sure if I helped or answered any of the questions you asked, hopefully I did. If I didn't or if you have more, feel free to ask away... 😉

    For the preset style of sales, you mention the con that it limits the costumer on design customization, but couldn't you just as easily allow them to still change colors within the order page? You're an absolute fuckin doll for the canva templates and custom questionnaire ❤❤❤ If you haven't already, yes, PLEASE go as into depth as you can on custom set selling

    you totally can!! you just have to set up clear communication systems for how you will take in that inforation (where will they submit it, how much can they change, does that change the price/your time, how you confirm the changes etc.)

    I have to research how the debt situation looks in China because the Taobao Influencers there are very intense and people are online 24/7 being bombarded with ads and low cost products and I think this system is what social media in the west is headed to.
