This video is just at the perfect time for us. We have our Bylaws, Vision/Mission/Goals, Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct, BoD Nomination doc and BoD Member Agreement. Our bylaws cover some of these topics, but looks like we need a document for each to go more into the details. Thank you for all you do to help us get our nonprofits going!! You are making a difference in lives, organizations, and the world! You do it with simplicity, from the heart, and clearly without adding a bunch of fluff. I appreciate it, thank you!

Thank you for doing this video! So helpful! I am currently enrolled in both of your courses and I'm learning a lot. Even though I started my nonprofit years ago, I still find the information you share to be very valuable. Anyone in the nonprofit sector should follow your channel! ❤

    1. How is the nonprofit accounting generally setup? Safeguard the account. 2. Agreement in place with the banking facility? 3. Setup limits for board approval, are these setup? 4. What options does the board have in these regards?

It sounds like I'm missing some context for some of these questions - was there a specific part of the video you're referencing?

@@AmberMelanieSmith I couldn’t find a video to post my questions but thought this was close. I’m looking at it more from the board’s perspective.

Hello Amber ? Should one register an organisation as a NGO or social enterprise what is your advice ?

Hey there, remember social enterprise is a business model - you can be an NGO AND be a social enterprise if you'd like. Determine your mission first, then you can think through if you'd like to use social enterprise practices to generate revenue.

We only have 5 volunteer board members. Do we need all of these policies ASAP? Or do we only use certain ones.

You can certainly create as the need arises! If you have the time and capacity to put these things in place early though it could save you trouble later.

Is it best to bring a person onboard specifically to create and run fundraising whether it’s online or in person Instead of doing it myself? I am the founder and CEO

If you are able to bring on someone with fundraising experience, that's always great! The CEO however still needs to participate in fundraising, that's part of the gig.
