Must not have owned it long, or cranked it often. Poor guy looks scared of the crank. Don't look so nervous; it's not that hard! Prime the engine with switch off first. Make sure your spark is set, stand off to the side, and pull the crank with your left hand over and toward you. Don't wrap your thumb around the crank, and if it kicks back, it'll just knock your arm out of the way... If your coils are in good tune, it'll start on mag, on the first spark every time.
