I'm Asian from Singapore 🇸🇬 and I always envy the thickness, the hair pattern and the healthy looks you guys have. I have a freezy 2b hair type. Not thick and have Androgen alopecia. Which causes the from hairline structure receding with "m" shape. And my crown area balding. Which cause my hair in general to start thinning. But I still proceed with locs. I prefer doing it with twisting gel but considering my hair type and breakout, My loctition suggested instant locs using crochet hook. I have a total of 21 locs full head. With that said, just 5 locs on the top of my head, 7 on both my left and right head and 9 on the back of my head. A total of 21 locs. All with different length and girth. With 5 extensions on the top of my head due to the thin and short hair I have. I'm currently taking oral supplement and a scalp therapy spray to prevent more hair follicles attack by DHT. Has been only a week. I look into a MPB(Male pattern baldness) and found a drug call Finesteride which needs prescription to buy it. I purchase it for a 3mnth subscription frequency for S$161 package. Anything for my hair to grow back before its too late. I will probably be combing out my current locs after my hair growth, treat my scalp and proceed with twisting gel. Sharing this here because in Singapore it's hard to find a hair type like me and the decision to do dreadlock and actually taking advice from a country that knows about dreadlock but don't like the idea of it, it's basically a conflict of interest. My work colleagues go to the extend of calling me "You look like Negro son". And All I can do is laugh. I bought breakfast near my working area and the cashier ask me "Why you make this type of hair?" All I can do is laugh. Walking back home from work at 11pm, 2 local guys said to each other "It's plastic" was my first day of locs, so i wear a hat. All this nasty comments only makes me more confident to expose my hair considering the balding at the top of my head. I can say that every nasty criticism and comments making this dreadlock journey interesting. Anyways. What makes loc my hair is because of the untamed freezy, dry and brittle and unhealthy looking hair. After watching "The Woman king" movie, Gunther da great channel and researching more about having locs just make it even fun to tryout. Thanks for reading and hearing me out. Love from Singapore 🇸🇬 Cheers

I'm getting my starter locs in a couple of days and I'm excited. You did a great job
I just came across this video and it’s making me even more excited to start my loc journey
I love watching these videos. I miss the days when I could get my hair washed like that and get a hair cut. lol...But still enjoy the skill and artistry of a "Groomologist" (you can use that word) and the joy it brings to the client.
Those locs are gonna be PERFECTION
You did your thing!!!! Those LOCS look neat!!!!
As an old West Indian, I remember when they used plaits to start locs.
What a beautiful head of hair! Great job!
This is my 3rd attempt at trying to watch this video, I keep falling asleep as soon as you begin to shampoo her hair. This is perfect for my insomnia, VERY RELAXING, but I don't want to sleep. I really want to see you do her hair. Guess I will have to start somewhere in the middle.

🤣🤣🤣 nope you not crazy!
Oh the dirty face I made when I saw you were located in Chicago and I’m here in SC🙄😒 I need these exact starter locs. Size, parting pattern ALL THAT 😩
so it’s ight to start locs with hair as long as theirs? my hair is probably like 3/4ths of the length of these locs
For those who have done it, how much does it take, so I can convince my sister to do it for me.
Very nice 👍 🇭🇹✨✨✨
Im thinking about getting dreads
I can't wait to start my loc journey I'm growing mine out now. Are his locs mid-length to his shoulders? Because this is how I want mine to be and awesome video Ioved it.
@TheGroomingArtist

Her Locs are about neck length. Thank you for watching !
these beats were fire playlist?
this how i get mine done
Since her hair is longer she should have went two strand twist route. It will loc faster but this is still dope the line up at the end was fire
@TheGroomingArtist
2 жыл бұрын
The coils loc faster from my experience. Less unraveling and a smoother Locs in the end . Thanks though
What products did you use? They arent on the Amazon products list you attached.
I dnt understand how come their are so many people saying they can’t get locs because they have hair texture like this individual that it won’t stay loc’d this individual has texture to this individuals hair actually more of a tight texture towards a mix in between coils and coarse texture hair from what I seen so far anyone can get locs it just takes different methods I have seen people with straight hair get locs idky people with textured hair would think they couldn’t interesting
Very nice n neat where r u located im next
The angel wont let me see how you started your hair groupings for the Diamond parts
❤️❤️
We’re are u located at I need my hair done like that
What type of product are you using
How long does it last cause I want it

My daughter has locs but she also has eczema on her scalp which is making it very difficult to keep her locs clean and he scalp clean. We have been to the dermatologist but the meds and shampoos don’t seem to work but only for a little while. Do you have any suggestions that I can do to clean her scalp? This my first coming across your videos.
@TheGroomingArtist
2 жыл бұрын
Hi ! My wife has the same issue . Right now I’ve been using Neutralizing shampoo because the purpose of that specific shampoo is to restore the scalp back to its natural pH. Also I have been using anti-itch oil from as I am’s hair line . When I use that oil and make sure that I spray a little water to open the cuticle and then I apply the oil because when you put oil on dry scalp and dry hair it’s a sealant so all it’s doing is locking in dryness. also over oiling can cause a reaction when the scalp is sensitive like that. I would slow down on heavy products and oiling your child’s hair to about 1x a week to monitor how much oil the scalp needs . I’m curious to see if this works for you . Keep me updated if possible please .
how many locs does he have roughly on average please
T saw hittin
It turned out so nice! What products did you use? Was that a leave in conditioner spray and loc gel?

ok so what if you started locs with two strand twist and some are unraveling what can I do to prevent that?

2 жыл бұрын
Starting Locs without doing instant Locs or extensions are always going to have unraveling. There isn’t much you can do to prevent that . It’s apart if the process
I’d like to see an update
Hello, how long did the whole process take? Please and thank you. I want to get me some but my schedule real tight

Can you change the parting pattern with dreads that’s already locked?
