I would add a couple of things. The first is to find people to serve as journalists so their written articles can accompany the photo galleries. Some pro teams will give you a chance to prove yourself but they will review your content at some point during, at the end of the season, or prior to the start of the next season. Second, for colleges, get on their media list by sending them the URLs of the content you create. This can be done by tagging them on social media. Third, Be Visible by showing up for an occasional practice or press conference. Lastly, follow the rules if/when you do get in but don't get discouraged if it takes a while. Shoot where you can and make them your top priority. If it was easy everyone would be doing it. About me: I run CORE360 Sports. Wow this is such great information, I have been shooting everything since 2000, I love shooting sports but I also love shooting everything else. I have a great name but you taught I need to build a brand. I have tried so hard for so long to get on the field for the Florida gators football games but close doesn’t count. Your information is priceless, I am so glad I found your video. I have a lot of content I can use now if local sports so I am going to give this a go. Thanks a million for making this video

Hold on...having a friend pretend they are your Editor so you can get credentials is essentially committing fraud!! Curating (aka. reposting other peoples posts) is pure rubbish. You don't think the Media Relations Department of a club is not going to see that you are just reposting. Sorry Ricky this scheme is bogus!!

It’s a matter of perception. If he got that person to review and provide feedback on his photos before he published them, then that is a de facto editor for him. If she didn’t do anything but answer a phone call, then it’s more of a farce. Photography is a very gatekeeping field- if you don’t know someone in the right position, it’s hard to get in; methods like this become necessary to get around the obstacles other people put up- it’s no different than when you add flair to your job resume- you weren’t inventory recovery/loss prevention operations director, you were a bus boy lol

@@ShootBetterSports And it is because of situations like this that gatekeeping exists in the first place. Fraud is not the way to get credentials. This is a hard business, don't take shortcuts.
