💝💝💝 You are still smiling! You are one of the happiest homesteaders I watch! Wonderful job Jason. Take care. ❇❇❇
I am very impressed Jason . . . you're taking on a big project, with no stress and doing a great job. Cheers.
I love watching you build things. The greenhouse will be very beneficial to your modern homestead. I'm sure you will win the battle of the rocks. You have a fantastic channel and I never miss a viseo. 🤗
“Party in a bag!” LOL❤

thanks so much
Party in a bag! This looks like your biggest project so far?? Maybe? You are making this look like fun! You and your family are always smiling and having fun and getting it done! I'm so happy for your greenhouse build!
Brings to mind the song ... I get knocked down, but I get up again ain't nothin going to keep me down! My youngest son wrote that on a note for my husband years ago after he had surgery that laid him up for a while. He still has that note.😊
This will be a great addition to your farm and family.
Nice start. Looking forward to seeing you get it built.

sounds like a bumper sticker! thanks!
What a great attitude you have. Diversity of projects, instead of complaining about another task. Great outlook, keeps you going and enjoying every day you’re blessed with.
That is the only rock on the farm and you found it. 😂
Boy this is a lot of hard work, doing a fantastic job Jason.
Great progress by yourself Jason!! And I always LOVE your positive attitude!!
Fill the pipe with water and keep filling it as the water level goes down, it will loosen the ground up.
I love it: “It’s a party in a bag!”
Leave a way to drive in and add lots of soil before you complete it. doing that by wheel barrow is the pits.

yup
So happy for you guys. Wish I could have a high tunnel but I live on a city lot, haha. I do have little hoop tunnels on my raised beds but a high tunnel in this freezing Alberta Canada weather would be awesome, need to get me an acreage. Oh I forgot I am 75 🙂
Congrats family! Extend your growing seasons stay blessed.
Hey Ken great job on your new channel and volunteer work in PA. I’m in Atlantic County and glad to hear we got NJ represented in the WoodHound world
YES! LANDSCAPE FABRIC! I’ve watched so many greenhouse builds and it always made me confused as to why they didn’t put in the extra step to stop weeds from creeping in after struggling to make the interior weed free.
Greenhouses change everything : )
I like that you're doing 1 section at a time, pole board black plastic.step by step. Your a thought out worker. Have ran into my share of rock pole collide. Good job. Won't be long until it's up. Blessing
Only one major glitch with the construction. I'd say that's great for day one. Vlog is awesome. Loving the content and look forward to the next one.
Love the progress on the farm Waiting for the next one!
The post pounder is the way to go putting in the foundation pipes. That ate my lunch on our greenhouse
What a beautiful day to work outside! Merry Christmas!
Really interested in watching this project. Done lots of fencing, never put up a high tunnel lol.
Darn rock every time, Good luck moving on ,
Your corner-to-corner diaganols should be 73 feet 9 1/16 inches apart to ensure square.

thanks for the tip
That seems like a good quality high tunnel kit.
Rock, what a bummer 😮 so excited to watch as you build your greenhouse 😊
Use one of the clamps and attach it to a 2x4 and the post to help pull it out.
Drill a hole next to the pole to remove it
That is going to be amazing for your homestead! Love how you tackle things with a smile!
haha "party in a bag" made me laugh out loud! great videos 🙂
You got this. God bless.
I hit a rock on one of my rods too. If you can pull it out, just cut the amount off that you need to get it to the correct height and bottom it out to the rock. With all of the other rods in the tunnel, this will not jeopardize anything. That’s what I did.
Good day to all.
Those hidden rocks can be so frustrating, but they are just another part of that whole homesteader problem-solving mindset...can't wait to watch your high tunnel take shape! Blessings, Marie
Everyone is going to want one of those post pounders, after seeing you use it so successfully on these videos. What a back and saver!
Always something! You will get it done! Blessings!
Love these builds. You will get that one fixed the next time you work on this.
Looking forward for the next video. Cheers 🎉🎉🎉
Just smiling watching this video...a daunting task and your happy heart comes through...thanks for a good chuckle with my morning coffee...."a party in a bag"...So silly, so funny...good luck with the build. 💟
72’ high? Can’t wait to see it
Excellent job Jason. It seems like there is always one thing that is a bit stubborn.
Nice project; I have a plan for one of these as well. There's not enough time to get to it. You can see what we did this year on my channel. I would pull the post, cut it off, and put it in the same hole. Wrap a chain around the post and use the tractor to put it out.
Nice idea jason
Prayers for a speedy recovery my dear friends! Jason, Mary Carl, and yourself are in my thoughts and prayers!
Thank you for this video! We had the opportunity to buy a used one but we don't know the first thing about building one. This kit looks awesome! You'll get the rock🤨
That is pretty amazing.
exciting, but the rock. sure looked funny watching Loraine tugging on that pipe. better luck for future post.
Oh noooo !! Dern Rock/Root 11 You'll get it , my friend !
Just cut that one poll off, last night I had just watched the video of how you met them got married and were on a date walking through a plant observatory and you said hopefully one day you would own a greenhouse.
Looking forward to the greenhouse installation (obstacles n solutions,) n its completion😅
Wrap a chain several time around that post and use your tractor to lift it out.

if I had a tractor. lol
Thats gonna be a fun build!
great start to a worthwhile project. It will make a huge addition to your homestead
Maybe could use a long rock chisel and sludge hammer . Keeping the hole in tack ..?
Jason, you are One Hard Working Guy. So Excited for you guys 🤩 Can’t wait to see this Magnificent High Tunnel.. Love seeing your Wife out there helping you…🥰 I always enjoy your Channel & By the way, the Podcasts are also Great !!! Until the Next One 😉💞🇺🇸
Wrap the post with a chain and use a high lift jack or better still a T post puller (be careful not to crush the pole)then cut the pole shorter on the end that’s not necked down OR use a pointed ram rod in your post driver to try and bust the rock
A T-post puller runs about $40 and uses leverage to pull posts out easily. Only hiccup with that type of post might be the lack of notches for the puller to grab onto but you could drill a bolt through it so the puller has something to grab onto. Well worth it to get a puller if you don't have one.
I would take that post that is hitting the rock out and cut off what you need to to make it lineup with the string line once you it in. You have plenty support with all the other post. That’s just my thinking.
have fun
Looks great
I tried to drive posts on my first high tunnel here in Missouri back in 2002. They bent and mushroomed and my second high tunnel I augered every hole and concreted them in. There are way too many rocks here to drive posts.
The reality of real life issues! Draw a line on the metal pole at 15" so you dont have to keep stopping to measure 🤷🏻♀️. Yay a hi tunnel!!👍👍
Dang I feel left on a cliff hanger! The pole drama!
Wow very big tunnel Good, so shame we had to stop work never mind😊
I am sure the pickets would have loved to help with this!!!🤣😆😉
Hmmmm. Seems your "party" wasn't in those bags but in the ground! You'll figure it out. I have faith in you.
Jason, As you said, always like to end a vlog post with a happy note. Just smile, and think of this rock as a test..... We have had this happen to us so many times, and it's usually the last post for us. So all we can do is just smile, and realize this too shall pass.
If you have an sds max hammer drill you can purchase a bit long enough and with a large enough diameter to hammer drill through the rock has saved me in the past
that's a crazy shake weight lol!
get yourself a stump puller, strong link chain, pull it out like a stump
Hi when you have the right gear everything goes right but when the is a rock under ground that is a big problem did happen to me many times also thanks again for good video and merry Christmas to you and your family mate from the west Australia 🎉🌲🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🍾🌲🎉
Fantastic progress & family! Thanks for sharing! 🤗💕🇨🇦
Use a car Jack to extract that fence post.
Good luck with the current project!!
Brilliant to put landscape fabric down! Will you be rocking that area as a weed barrier?
Put that plate on the outside of the baseboard where you had to put support post
Good luck 👍

Thankyou farmers friend...yous got a lot done guys shame your hit rock hope it doesnt hold yous up to much...😊
Exciting. 👍
You got this jay...
Just FYI, most state NRCS offices offer cost share to farmers for high/ low tunnel construction and “micro” irrigation inside the tunnels. Folks should check it out to save $$
Jason you have made great progress for your first day. You are so wise to put the landscape fabric under the boards. Sorry you hit a rock. ... Doo doo occurs. Tomorrow is another day and this is a good reason to be doing this now, not a week before you want to move plants in. All good.
Thank you ❤❤🙏🙏
hitting a rock in the way sucks but your doing great hugssssss
Yah, the rocks give birth where I live. You pound a post in and the one hits a rock and throws it all off
I hope it’s a mammoth tusk! Or the ark of the covenant! Something awesome!
Good vlog+😊
Rock on Jason, you rock! I thought you might appreciate a better rock then the one in the ground. 😉
Use your truck jack and a chain? to restract the ground post??
that 1 rock 😝
My knees hurt for you, my man! 😂
Party in a bag. Ha. You have a good start on the High Tunnel. Lots of precise work. Too bad you hit that rock. You can always count on Something not going smoothly. Looks great tho. 🎄💞🎄
