Nurse -12 Vinny -8 Ceci -7 Skinner hot or not... Every. Damn. Game. No way these guys advance or win it all until they figure out a full 60 is required. Fucking embarrassing.

Strong first. Weak everything else. I was at the game. The boys sucked the energy out as soon as the puck dropped in the second.

Insert back Macleod for Ryan, and insert Broberg for Vinny or Nurse. Maybe consider Pickard for Skinner just to give Skinner a rest, and maybe to wake up the defense.

Four preventable goals. 1-puck needed a little more juice, even if the pass misses, at least it exits. 2&3- tie up the nearest frikkin man and/or stick. Seems they're thinking so much about zone duties that they don't know when to abandon them and improvise to smother the immediate, closest danger. 4-Nurse went from standing in an area of little danger (as in Gm1 tying goal) to his knee, when he should have been a few feet over and in position to harass the carrier (the pass target had a defender at least partially on him). And more detailed harping: on 2nd goal, 5 defenders were standing around, none of them taking a body out. On 3rd, big Vin shoulda take the wide open man at the side of the gaping net, leaving the shooter to the back checker and his teammate wearing big pads. On 4th, Nurse's choices were to 1) go down on a knee and maybe block a pass to a Star who had a defender already partially on him, or 2) stay on two feet and maybe prevent a good pass, but also probably prevent a dangerous shot on net. Being down on a knee, he is mobile like a starfish with an arm raised. An integral aspect of playing zone is to always be aware and ready to switch duties, as the situation calls for. Yes, maybe they were tired at points, credit to Dallas. But if they could have taken the body more around the net, Gm3 would be a 2-0 win. The area near their own blue paint should be defended with ferocity, but this shortage of physicality around it was apparent in a troubling way in Gm1, when Kulak failed to tackle Seguin on Dallas' opening goal of the series. Not defending their fort in close with nastiness will get them knocked out real soon. I'm a little disgusted.

Rishaug was perplexed that everyone thought Dallas was the deeper team after Edmonton won game one....OIlers are in twubble. Dallas playing rope a dope....letting Oilers shoot their wad early ~ like in both game 1 & 2 and then bringing down the hammer.... Under the same duress Oilers make more mistakes than Dallas...Dallas has their game down pat. "Game slipping away" is getting beat by a better team. Must win game 4 ~ no question. Dallas has a very clear formula of how they win games..and they executed that vs. Vegas and Colorado.Oilers have to find another gear......do they have it? Clearly they lose focus and have trouble with 60 minute hockey.

Yep...this series is on the brink.... no room for errors. Stars have grabbed the leverage and are far more polished in both focus and game plan. When it matters most ~game on the line ~ Edmonton can't dictate like Dallas. Tied it 3-3 and couldn't win it at home. Where is the killer extinct to get it done? SOFT~ the same thing you hear over and over about this team. Dallas knows all they have to do is weather the first Oilers onslaught and then they break them down.

Can you explain why the oilers get tossed from faceoff circles so much? Drai has to be the most tossed in the league by a mile. What are they seeing that im not?

Kind of a flippant podcast.... Lotsa hockey left? Oilers are on the brink... Dallas erased the Oilers for 2 periods. In their house the Stars said this game is over.
