Jack is one of the only saltwater creators who is actually studying global trends and technologies in fishing, thinking deep, and sharing with his views. A lot of people just do it “the old way.” Really incredible contents would love to see more

I’m a saltwater angler with experience with most everything but yellowfin. Got a trip coming up next month here in Texas, and Jack has me feeling prepared for this adventure. Dude is thorough.

Regarding fighting a spiraling fish - The fish is coming toward the boat/angler half of the circle, and then going away the other half.

Excellent J&P series! Thank you for sharing your experience and techniques. I am finishing my “classroom learning”about BFT and are ready for the practical side. Don’t have a jigging rod (suggestions?), and have a Phenix Black Diamond 7’6” rod (20-60# mono), hvy power, paired with a Daiwa Saltist with 440 y of 80# braid. Reel is rated for 33# drag. Three questions: 1. Good jigging rod? 2. Is my spinning setup too light? 3. Up here in the Gulf of Maine/NH waters, out to Jeffrey’s Ledge, people emphatically tell me J&P simply does not work for here for BFT. The widely held practice up to anchor and drop live bait at various depths is the only method that works, for some reason unknown to me. Any reply will be greatly appreciated!

Have you guys fully switched to Jig/Pop? Do you ever troll or chunk now or are you fully switched to these spinning tactics?

Hi, not sure what you mean by switched, we've always been a fly/lure shop. In the past couple of years there has been a great topwater popping bite that we've been focusing on
