as someone who has done gfx before and has made over 500k+ robux id like to add just a few things 2:33 no u dont need to do free work in order to get a starter portfolio, when i first started i was already charging up to 500 for an icon, if u want to show off your artwork, work on your personal projects and show off those instead. dont be a slave 4:14 thats a good point, never undercharge even if u think ur not worth it, trust me your time is worth more than 25 cents even if you're a begginner, ive seen good designers charging so little and its frustrating for other designers because it lowers the market value if that makes sense

wow these tips are actually incredible! i used to make free gfxs (they weren’t the best because i was a beginner) but my skills started to slightly improve! i found myself making these free gfxs for months on end and i would make one like every day and if something went wrong (like pc died/work didn’t save) i would just cry because of the effort i put into it. my friends kept telling me to put prices on my work but like you i wanted everyone to like me :( i was addicted to these nice comments on my videos but i feel like a lot of them were fake and people just wanted to get more money out of me. i eventually stopped because the constant strain to spend so much time on them made me bored and stopped liking creating this art. i still enjoy 3D modelling and i do make gfxs from time to time but i sort of gave up and it was pretty sad. this advice you have is amazing and super educational (and you explained it perfectly). thank you ❤
