I don’t think they’re saving the house , they are saving the road from being washed out

Through it all as there is no compaction so it will all erode away in floods

So many questions: Would it be cheaper to bulldoze the house and rebuild elsewhere? How important is this waterway? What about a dam and/or redirecting the water? Are you expecting no more rain? What mountain are you destroying and where are you getting all that dirt and soil?

It look like the rain don’t fall often but when it does the house may have an issue. Looks as if the house grade is lower than across the ditch

This is odd to me, in England we would pile that dirt up in the middle, maybe dig the ditch a bit deeper, build a house on the top and stick a flag on it :o)

Saw one a week ago of this location with nearly all of this river filled in.

Seems like it would of been easier to move the house

Just curious to why they didn't just pump the water out first to see if it was spring fed first
