This was the first match to the third overall ladder series on Stars & Strikes Doubles from the 1993 - 1994 season, featuring several newcomers on this particular show, with just one of the bowlers (John Maffeo) being a familiar face seen in this match from prior appearances on Stars & Strikes.
This was a match I watched a lot on this particular tape I had growing up, especially since it is a great example of how a low scoring match doesn't mean that it isn't exciting. This match went sort of back and forth, but all came down to the end to determine who would win on this telecast.
