O echipa de tineri cineaști independenți cehi conduși de Jana Sevciková au filmat timp de 5 ani viața cotidiana și credințele staroverilor(lipovenilor) a căror strămoși au emigrat în Delta Dunării datorită persecuțiilor religioase încă din secolul XVIII. Participând la toate etapele vieții comunității: botezuri, căsătorii și înmormântări, documentarul reușește sa exprime o adevărată frescă a vieții staroverilor din Delta Dunării la sfârșitul secolului XIX.
Documentarul a căror prime imagini au fost filmate în 1983 a fost lansat în 2001 cu finanțare din partea guvernului ceh, a fost nominalizat la Cel mai bun documentar ceh a Festivalului International de Documentare Jilava și a câștigător a premiul Don Quixote a Festivalului de Film Cracovia în 2002 și a premiul special al juriului ecumenic la Festivalul international de film Mannheim-Heidelberg în 2001.

A team of young independent Czech filmmakers led by Jana Sevcikova filmed for 5 years the everyday life and beliefs of the starovers (Lipovans) whose ancestors emigrated to the Danube Delta due to religious persecutions in the eighteenth century. Participating in all stages of community life: baptisms, marriages and funerals, the documentary manages to express a true fresco of the life of the starovers in the Danube Delta at the end of the nineteenth century.
The documentary whose first images were filmed in 1983 was launched in 2001 with funding from the Czech government, nominated for the Best Czech Documentary of the International Documentary Festival Jilava and the Don Quixote Award Winner of the Krakow Film Festival 2002 and the special prize of the Ecumenical Jury at the Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival in 2001.

Команда молодых независимых чешских кинематографистов во главе с Яной Севчиковой снимала в течение 5 лет повседневную жизнь и убеждения Cтаровeры (липован), чьи предки эмигрировали в дельту Дуная из-за религиозных гонений в восемнадцатом веке. Участвуя на всех этапах общественной жизни: крещения, браки и похороны, документальный фильм позволяет выразить истинную фреску жизни Cтаровeры в дельте Дуная в конце девятнадцатого века.
Документальный фильм, чьи первые изображения были сняты в 1983 году, был запущен в 2001 году при финансовой поддержке чешского правительства, номинирован на лучший чешский документальный фильм Международного документального фестиваля «Джилава» и лауреата премии «Дон Кихот» на Краковском кинофестивале в 2002 году и специального приза Экуменическое жюри на Международном кинофестивале в Мангейме-Гейдельберге в 2001 году.
