The lost hiker stories perfectly illustrates why, when lost, you should STAY PUT so searchers can find you. The grown man was wandering for 10 days when he should have been only a few hours walk away from where he started. Essentially, he was evading rescuers when he thought he was calling to them. The four year old, on the other hand, was found the next day, right near where he started.

This hiker was entirely to blame for his own predicament. You should ALWAYS hike w the 10 essentials (that’s why they’re called essentials). Self-evacuation is the desired method if at all possible, so I don’t agree w staying put unless you’re physically unable to move (cliffed out, too injured). If you have maps and a method to contact someone, you should not need to stay put. All goes back to not going hiking without being prepared, which this person was absolutely not and ended up in this very predictable predicament.

Not sure that AAA is the best source for information anymore. They use to be great, timely, considerate but not anymore. We waited 2 hours passed our Time of Arrival to get a tire repaired on the I-5. Sorry for your loss. What a shame. 😔

Why would Grand Design hold a PR event in NYC??? There is nobody in that city who has a place to park that size of vehicle. Sometimes I wonder where these PR flacks come from!! This was an event to give the execs from Winnebago a company paid weekend in the city.

What even can be said about such a tragic loos of someone who was doing good and struck-down in an act of kindness?

My first thought about GD Lineage is that it looks like a Navion. We’ve owned a GD 5th Wheel and 7 other RV’s. Purchased a Coachmen Nova 20D B Van 6 months ago. Not ONE issue and so pleased with the quality and customer service.

I was going to go through northern Iowa on my recent trip but the route planner asked if I wanted to go down to I-80 to avoid weather. First time that ever happened to me, and since I was getting a great lightning show, I took the detour. In the past I have had reverse 911 say to take shelter immediately with a tornado crossing the interstate, but being in a construction zone there was nowhere to go and I couldn’t see anything. This trip I just needed to slow down a bit because the crosswinds were agitating the trailer. I very sorry about your friend and for her family’s loss. I am familiar with that shock, and don’t wish it on anyone

Yes because the incident didn’t happen in Missouri. The couple is from Missouri.

Starlink is managing demand and production. They probably also want to test it with real world (experianced) users before ramping up production. Once they get it dialed in they'll lower prices and open it up for the masses. If they opened it up at the lower price with limited production, people would stop ordering existing Starlink products and there would be a waiting period of months... this way people who want it now will buy existing product, the mini will be debugged and tested, and then production will ramp up and prices will be lowered gradually so productions and demand stay at an equilibrium. Economics 101. Nothing more, nothing less.

Who, in their right mind, would even consider buying an RV from any manufacturer, let alone GD or Winnie? They have been building nothing but crap and garbage for years, pull every trick in the book to avoid warranty issues and basically tell everyone where to get off once they have your money. Until the Fed' holds their feet to the fire just as they do with any other vehicle I would never consider purchasing anything built since the early '00s.

Our GD has been fabulous for 6 years. I hear nothing but good responses from those who have contacted GD for any warranty issues.
