To clarify, this is a class D amp.. There is no such thing as Digital Amps. Sorry for using the wrong term. Do you own a Class D Amp? Which one and how is your experience?

There's no such thing as a digital amp. It's a common misunderstanding. When class D amps started becoming more popular back in the 90's, some manufacturers called them digital because of the D. It doesn't stand for digital. Some class D amps use digital technology to run the transistors, but the signal you hear stays analog from input to output. I have 3 or 4 class D amps, but they're pro amps. I would never use them to listen to music. I know some people use pro amps in their home audio systems, however one of my friends talked me into trying the ones I had because I have a few different brands, and they just sounded terrible. My dealer lent me a Rowland class D amp and it was a big step up in sound quality, and price of course, but it wasn't good enough to make me switch. In time I think class D amps will improve to the point where they sound as good as traditional designs. Maybe in a few years, but for now, I'll keep what I have.

... to clarify, I would expect basic information such as: What is the rated output of this amp, under what conditions, load, signal, etc. (all channels driven of course)

Looking at the web page for this amp, it does not look like something for a quality product or a competent company. Am I missing something? This looks more like a budget amp ($500) not something for $2k. Where are the manuals and spec sheets?

Care to elaborate? Audioholics also reviewed one of their amps and subs and were very happy with what they found so I wouldn't judge a book by its cover. I wouldn't swap my monolith 7x for a Fiera8 if I didn't feel it was worth it.

Looks? Is that how you are "evaluating" a product??? Well first it is NOT $2000, so check your "facts" and if you do not have experrience with it then why spread misinformation with zero facts???
