@@PerfectAlibi1 the great thing about the Stargate program is that no one would believe you. The non disclosure would mainly be so you didn't say the wrong thing to the wrong person and get interrogated/killed. (NID, secret Russian gate program, etc)

Whatever else you think about SGU, you've got to admit that it had some of the best acting on TV. It was just so convincing throughout, which made the relentless grimderp more tolerable.

Lots of comments about how O'Neill was serious about the beaming. Maybe I'm wrong, but I recall that he tended to be bluntly serious with most civilians (from earth) through the entire run of SG1...

This show needs to make a comeback

I've rewatched this a dozen times and it still gives me the chills.

This looks like the long-awaited update to The Last Starfighter.

I love that Asgard teleport.

Star-gate was a worthy tv show. I hope they continue it :)

This show was by far the best science-fiction fantasy ever televised. The flawed abd sometimes panicked characters, the most realistic. They should launch a new season with as much of the original cast as possible.... imagine, too, the possibilities for background music..

@@Thurgosh_OG and for continuity, just advance the storyline to 100 or more years into the future. It was possible to age in a stasis pod if very slowly. This to make up for the age difference of the actors between then and now

But it was one of those answers you never take seriously. Well, until you are standing on a fucking space ship. You know what I don't get, all those times that Bones said, "He's dead, Jim." and not once did he think to say, "He's done Kirk."

Jack must love it when he can jokingly refer to the truth like that.

The thing that bugged me the most is that Eli had to wear the same set of clothes for 2 seasons.

@@brianorca The biggest problem of SGU is, that they never used the jump drive of Atlantis to get to Destiny. The jump drive allowed to be at every point in the universe within an instant.

"Whatever it is, i'll take the cash equivalent" That part is sad knowing it's for paying his mother bills.

I'd actually be really happy if playing World of Warcraft did not result in me being beamed onboard a spaceship and then later another spaceship with no hope of getting home. Yeah...

Actually that is the most epic moment in the entire show, that and perhaps Eli´s mother visits him via the body switch stones later on.

@@Cohen.the.Worrier Nope, it REALLY is the diet .... as an example, check out the WW II film footage of the mostly British POWs in the Japanese camps, or indeed US captives in Vietnam etc. Not many lardy's there, very emaciated, because they were near starved !!

Eli was likeable. I remember him liking a woman that was likeable. I agree with your statement beyond those two. The show lacked the fun characters that SGA had.

It was just copying the horrid Battlestar reboot. It was better than BSG, but still not Stargate. But what else would we expect from a channel that forgot how to spell 'sci-fi'. Stupid name change, bad execs, bad TV. Is the channel even still around? 😎

The way they treated Eli at first didn't really make any sense. Force him to go to an alien planet but then they don't use him. He just gets to be present when they test his math. They could have tested it without even telling him they exist.

I miss star gate.

SG1 was good. Atlantis grew on me. I can't make it through the first episode of SGU.

Would love to rewatch sgu if I didn't know it has no ending..

Love this show again great characters good stories. Love Robert Carlyle (especially in Hamish Macbeth) but Dr Rush was a Knob.
