Finally have some time to relax on the balcony of my hotel room in the Amalfi Coast and I knew I had to turn this mixtape on.

Love the Guido e Maurizio De Angelis - Driving All Around, so off-kilter and funky.

This compilation show a perfect image of italian 'pop and funky-culture' of the Seventies, in italian "Gli anni di Piombo" (Years years of Lead)

México or Spain would be awesome additions to this collection! Great jamz going on here, incredible work.

Starfunkel! You should make a Spanish (Spain) mixtape! In 1975, the Franco dictatorship fell, causing a wave of some of the coolest disco/glam/punk/early goth music during the transition. Just a thought! :]

I'm sitting in a metal chair on small white pebbles. The Atlantic Ocean crashes onto the sand not more than 1000 feet from my location. A bottle of Kolsch drips condensed water and wets my fingers as I raise it to my lips. My daughter cruises up and down the alley as she attempts to balance on her bike. The sun is out. And this mix has set the right tone. Nudity of thought is always an option in this part of the world.

Where do you get your opening samples from? They're always spectacular!

I did a little poking around. Looks like this image is a screenshot from Street Law (1974) 9:30 into the film. I took a screencap of it, did some manipulation in an attempt to mimic Starfunkel's image. Here's a link to a hi-res version of the results: i63.tinypic.com/r8vvwg.jpg Hopefully someone with a higher-res source and greater skills than I can produce something better. In the meantime, this'll do. :)
