The size of this ship reminds of EC Henry's imagined Resistance Y-Wing. He envisionmed it as much larger than the original Y-Wing, with a full walkable interior, functioning as a long range recon/patrol bomber.

Such a cool ship, already working out how I would make it A-class for early game, I think with losing some cargo and double stacking engines instead of the C-class ones, it'd be doable

Those Taiyo Mid Caps are goo candidates for replacement with Habs, if you want more interior space.

The only change I would make would be to raise the cockpit up one level. If you look at a Y-Wing, the canopy sticks up from the nose of the starfighter. So I'd lift the cockpit up one level and probably put the landing bay underneath it.

Fantastic work. Really good stuff. Only thing I would think to change would be to sub out one of the weapon systems for a turret behind the cockpit.

My go-to method is to do as much as possible at an outpost landing pad. Substitute parts as needed, then go around to the manufacturers for anything you're missing.

Nailed the silhouette perfectly. A thought came to me while watching this, I wonder how difficult it would be to make any of the ships from the game FTL: Faster Than Light?

Not really sure where to start flying to to grab some of the specific parts and it would’ve been nice to know where from but best y wing I’ve seen

I mean, there's only 4 different manufacturers. New Homestead for Nova, Neon for Taiyo, Deimos for Deimos (duh), and Deepala (Nairon system) for Stroud.

basically, you build what you can at your oupost landingpad/shipbuilder, get it in a flyable state and just gather all the missing parts as you go from manufacturer to manufacture, but most structural parts you should be able to get at outpost landingpads. Some high-end parts (mainly better reactor engines shields and grav models and 2x2, 2x3 3x2 and 3x3 habs) are locked for level, even with max starship design&piloting

Easiest places are the Stroud and Deimos Staryards.

just wish the game was more than 5 minutes long so investing time in it make sense

It's way longer. I've played over 160 hours so far (restarted a few times, yes), and I'm still nowhere near finished the game.
