Ships that size are more of a stationary combat ship. You typically wish to use thrusters to turn, i know stay in one spot is kind of marking yourself but i mean unless youre REALLY getting jumped you shouldn't have too much problems.

Thrusters make no different when negative numbers for thrust. With it Shields it makes a bit more sense. But still it takes 5 mins to turn the thing haha

When flying you can cut back on the thrust to increase turning radius

I think one of the future dlc/content packs will let us make bigger clas ships. I also think one will happen. custom mechs for combat and modify Vasco. And I'm hoping for taller habs like a 3×3×2

Taller habs for sure with stairs or elevators. I could see a 2x1x2 captains quarters. Or even a barracks hab that's 2x2x2.

Ares dt310 engines have -45 mobility for some reason so they basically do the opposite of what theyre meant to do

Its a bizarre situation. Almost like it wasn't completed in time or something.

The cockpit isn't unique. It's available from most vendors. It does require you to unlock curtain skills/perks. No mods, no glitches. The only unique thing, outside the ship of course, was the shield. I'm glad you posted this. As I believe Bethesda has removed some of the pilot seats, when they patched it. I'm gonna double check.

3:45 None of the Class M ships have exclusive cockpits. For anyone that doesn't already know, you can buy more advanced parts at a manufacturer's staryard or showroom. The same Ares bridge that the Vigilance has is available at the Deimos staryard near Mars. If you want to build your own Class M giant ships, there are like a dozen mods on the Nexus that unlock the parts and increase the limits in the shipbuilder (technically just a lot of console commands in a bat file). There is a surprising number of Class M parts that are fully functional out of the box. While the habs are empty shells, you can build a setup of normal habs and then flip glitch the big habs over them. Making a working Class M ship isn't too hard, but they're just too damn big and break things when landed. Until there's some kind of shuttle mod so you can leave it in space, don't bother trying to use one of these as your main ship.

Couldn't one dock it at port say WOLF system and take a smaller vessel to and from the planets. Then when ever wanting to space combat or travel just return to space port?

​@@SiNKiLLeR_the console is a debug tool used in development, not a secret cheat menu for gamers to use, even if it can be used that way. They leave it in and accessible in their games so that mod authors can use it. There's no reason whatsoever that they would provide a keybind for opening the console on consoles, because you can't mod on console (even when mods are available on console, they are developed exclusively on PC for obvious reasons).

Thanks for the nice comment. On pc it should be this key "`" the key next to the "1" key. I hope that make sense. Can check your key bindings if unsure.

A capital ship tends to be slow as far as maneuvering because of their size.

I think your right it makes a ton of sense.

The fact all you need is console commands to get the ship, then to me it says bethesda plan to add capital ship functionality to the game. Something you the player can build, a behemoth, a monster. It cant land or dock but has a hangerbay for your own ship to land into or be attached to. Same with the whole startsation parts inside the game files. Either shattered space or something else is gonna give something truly amazing.

As I think about it, we are currently lucky enough just to get our own class A, B & C ships to spawn in. Bethesda is far away from adding larger more impressive intergalactic starship's with hangers ect. But it would be nice to find one with a faction like the pirates. Maybe a Spacers Campaign? Rebel alliance? Lol

Would be cool if say for the dlc we get to fly one for a mission

I made my own M class ship in starfield using console commands to bypass ship size limitations and to unlock m class modules. However, once I set my home ship to another, it says that I can’t go back to my m class ship because my piloting skill is too low. Do I have to use the console commands to set it as my home ship once more? If so, what is the command to do so? I have the latest ship ID saved.

Yo, if you using commands and not bat files then you'll need to enter those commands each time you start up starfield. Did you run all the commands again and then try to select your class m ship?

I just want to know the command for either setting it as my home ship or getting M class piloting, I've been searching the internet but I haven't found a command that would work for me as most of them are tied to a mod.

No thrusters on that thing? BTW, if you go into space you can register your ship (s) yourself without any technicians for a fraction of the cost. I tried it myself and it actually works. DON'T register with technicians in settlements / cities. Unless they patched it though. I currently play on X-Box X.

I don’t think I would say that you can register the ship yourself for a “fraction” of the cost of registration through a ship vendor. Although technically correct, that term implies that the cost is significantly less. At least from my own testing, the cost of registering through a ship vendor is about 84% of the sale value while registering it yourself costs about 77%. You do save some money but I wouldn’t call it significant. Update: I did some additional experiments and found the following 1. The “buy” value and “sell” value are tied to your Commerce Skill level, 2. The vendor registration fee and self registration fee are the same at Commerce Skill level 0, 3. The self registration fee is constant, 4. The vendor registration fee is approximately 84.09% of the “sell” value at all Commerce Skill levels Share and Enjoy!

@@EldritchGod666 Actually, I registered some stolen ships yesterday and the cost was not higher than 15%. I wonder if certain space regions contribute to that? I remember registering just outside of The Den ( not docked). And the other time was in orbit of The Red Mile.

@@Dybicus Good info! Thanks! I’m not playing right now due to some of the game breaking bugs but when they fix it I’ll try this out. Also, verify that you’re taking about the amount you are selling the ship for and not the cost of buying one. There is a significant difference there as well.

Can’t you just finish the crimson fleet quest line and side with the fleet to get the vigilance? I didn’t try and fly it but if you side with the fleet and finish that quest the vigilance should be parked up next to the key, you can dock and board and just go into the flight deck.

Too bad you can only drive it but can't disassemble it and use it's parts for your own ship... I'm wondering how strong the reactor can be.

After a few months of starfield I'm at the point, yes it's nice to get the big ships but why???? You can't sell them for credits as the vendor only has 72,000 so I started ganking only tier II ships worth under 73000 credits. Unless I'm doing a custom build that would be the reason for a high end tier III ship.

@@SiNKiLLeR_ console commands set 00155F4A to 1 press enter. this will unlock m class ship parts. you'll need to edit your HOME ship, to keep it and fly it around, if you edit a non home ship, it will say your pilot skill isn't high enough... that's where the mod, "class m piloting" comes in, you can download that at Nexus mods, read the instructions, it's tricky . but it works . then you can create other ships and the game will think you have a m class pilots license.

Thanks for passing this on. I've used this command and had access but the ship builder still limits you to certain number of parts. I haven't seen the mod those guys use to build the Monster class ships unless i've not payed enough attention. Do you have any knowledge on removing the limit on usable build parts? I'll check again.

3:40 That is a Demos cockpit. You need to be high enough level for it to show up. They are in no way legendary or hard to get.

1.Dock and make your way to the cockpit 2. Look at the pilot seat and open console. 3. Click on the pilot seat and scroll mouse wheel up or down until you see the "FURN" 4. Enter CallFunction "BlockActivation" False False 5. Sit in Pilot Seat 6. Once in pilot seat, undock from ships 7. Open console and click on the UC Vigilance 8. Look for the GBFM line by scrolling mouse wheel up or down 9. Once you know the GBFM number enter TrySetPlayerHomeSpaceShip ####### (Repalce the # with your ship ref id) Transcript Let me know how you go.

You might have used the wrong GBFM number as that happened to me when I did it wrong. You'll be able to save it but I don't recommend using a saved game with this. Play around with it and then go back to before you did it all. Console commands are cheat codes.

Console commands is all you need to fly this one.

Ok first off you dont have to cheat to get this ship. Just side with the crimson fleet and when you and the fleet take control of the Vigilance you can just hop in the pilots seat and its yours. Dont know how the fleet will react so I havent done it yet. Ive been running around looking for akandi since I finished the crimson fleet questline, hes got the key to get into the vigilances cargo hold and computers. I honestly dont want the vaginalance, I just want the cargo lmao. But ya once you finish the quest chain and force akandi to turn off the self destruct it removes all the UC scumbags from the ship and the seat is turned sideways for you to get in it and take it over, It even prompts you to take it over. So no need to cheat just side with the pirates and take it once you finish the chain, However as I said I dont know how the fleet will react if you do.

Lmao, just read what you just said. This game can't even be played without the help of 'cheats'. Had to restart my entire gameplay twice because of quest bugs where characters wouldn't move or doors kept shut. Enjoy playing this broken game without 'cheats'. Lmfao babygay
