I think that you are supposed to put it in a sewing machine and then apply the meowmare sword skin to any sword you like Edit: It's in the volcano forge, not the sewing machine.

You can do this at the forge on Ginger Island, so at the very least we can have Meowmere’s appearance with the Infinity Blade’s stats.

As a Terraria and Stardew Valley fanboy I absolutely loved this…until the damage output 😢😂

Well technically you can buff it on your own once you unlock the forge, but by that point you probably have weapons that are even stronger than what a buffed version would do 😔

@@ryninja5788 You can also just forge the stats of another weapon onto it. If you put two weapons of the same type in the forge (like two swords), the result will have all the stats and info of the first weapon, but the appearance of the second weapon. So you could turn any sword into Meowmere.

Wait, this means that the Guide Voodoo doll, and therefore the guide, works as a catalyst to open portals to other worlds. Which explains where the Wall of Flesh, a seemingly world-sized being, comes from when he couldn't exist in the world of Terraria normally. So, if he is the way to enter outside worlds, then... Is he some kind of Multiversal Traveler?!?

That would make sense with hardmode and new creatures entering the world, cool theory honestly, even if it might not be true

There's a thing on Ginger Island that lets you put the appearance of any sword on your strongest sword, so that's the best use of the Meowmere. Wasn't expecting a weapon though; thought we'd get some kind of funny pet or barn/coop animal. Maybe a King Slime for the Slime Hutch. Oh well.

There is a unique rainbow effect when you kill enemies which is cool, but the damage is pretty disappointing.

Maybe they did not want to make secret weapon too essential? like everyone 'have to' find it to be efficient? But I agree that small buff in 1.6.1 would be welcome

@@mapron1 Concernedape could have easily balanced it around the rewards you get by the time you gain access to floor 100. By that point, you already have things like the steel falchion or a lava katana, both of which absolutely outclass the meowmere in SDV. I hope that he updates the weapon's stats in the future to put it more on par with a steel falchion or a lava katana.

100% agree.

To show how bad the meowmere is as an actual weapon, a bug head, which is a monster slaying goal that's very easy to complete around level 10-29 has a damage output of 20-30 dmg. It is a purely aesthetic weapon. The good news is, you can change the appearance of your sword with good stats with other swords. So technically you can use an infinity sword with the appearance of the meowmere

Considering when you gain access to it, I think it's stats should be at least on par with the Lava Katana, so pre-GI players can still obtain it as an alternative.

I've done just that. A fully forged and enchanted Infinity Blade with a kitty on it.

Did any of you guys notice that Meow-mere hits twice, so it does 40 damage over time?

Guys! Big idea! Go to Ginger Island and Use a good sword like the Infinity Sword and use the Meowmere as the Apearence! So you techacly got a Good Meowmere weapon (in the Volcano Forage)

you are able to add another swords stat to the catsword with the forge at the top of the volcano i think

The fact that statdew sprites and terraria sprites fit so well together is crazy, like if you didn’t know anything about 1 game but everything about the other, you wouldn’t be able to tell that the items are from another game.

I mean, slimes are technically present in both games, along with bats and even flying fish, weirdly enough. Fishing is a mechanic in both games, so is farming... Hmmmm... 🤔

I feel like this is more of a trophy than anything considering that a lot of people would already be a lot further in progression when they get this (unless of course you do it just as you hit level 100 in the mines) a cool trophy nonetheless though!!

As another commenter already said, you can use the sprite of the sword to reskin a better one. This made me so happy

You can use this sword to change the appearance of any sword (I think in the forge in the volcano) so you can have a infinity sword with the cat blade's appearance You can do this with every weapon of thebsame category if I'm not mistaken (By tailoring you can also do this with boots so you can get the most powerful one and have it be nice looking with your full drip!)

Absolutely love this crossover. I also love the implication that the stardew valley and terraria world are interlinked with each other

you can use the forge to put its skin on any weapon you like including the infinity weapons. so the damage really doesn't matter.

They could have atleast said its broken to reduce its damage

When you get later in the game you can change what your weapon looks like using another sword so I can’t wait to have a cool looking sword

I got the Galaxy Sword a couple days ago and just unlocked Ginger Island. Forget Winter hoarding, I gotta get me that doll!

I hope we can get more of crystals, they look honestly cooler to keep as apparently super weak sword, which use will be probably only decoration/collection or using to change sprite of actually good sword

You can use the forge on ginger island to transfigure weapons so I’ll probably transfigure the meowmere once I get the best weapon. It’s functionally the best sword, but looks like the meowmere

You can put the appearance of Meowmere on any sword you want in the unmodded game at the volcano forge so it's mostly just an aesthetics thing I'd say.

As a stardew veteran, id feel comfortable taking Meowmere into the skull caverns until I get my first prismatic shard (if I haven’t got one already). The speed buffs make it a good enough defensive weapon to avoid damage from serpents and iridium bats

You can transmog it to your weapon if you like how it looks

It's true power lies in an overhead strike

You can skip the required friendship with the wizard by the teleportation spot in the witch’s hut ;)

you can give the meowmere the "best sword stats" with the forge late in the game

I love these little crossovers. Maybe we need the Galaxy Sword or the Infinity Blade in Terraria.

when you kill enemies with meowmere it causes the enemy to explode with colors and i personally combined the infinity blade so my infinity meowmere kills things super hard and shoots rainbows doing it :D

Its fun to see both Terraria and SDV accommodating for their fandoms in each update They're quite the dedicated devs. Can't wait for Terraria's update as well

By the way, if you don’t have hearts to the wizard, or you just don’t wanna do it in the witches hut, there is a way to get into that same room

Level 4 is pretty weak, like maybe something you’d pick up about floor 40-50 iirc. *_BUT . . ._* SDV has the endgame forge, which allows players to merge the appearance of any weapon with the stats of another of the same type. This means you could craft the Infinity Sword and then make it look like the Meowmere.

There's also the Magic Quiver item in 1.6

I wish in the future updates we can transfer the stats of the weapon with the other ones. Just like boots in the sewing machine but with weapons. Sword to sword, Hammer to hammer. Like with the boots we can change the style/appearance with the stats we want.

It's a cool looking weapon, you can raise the stats on it and on any weapon by unlocking Ginger Island and reaching level 10 of the Volcano cave and use the Forge. You can buff the weapon or move the stats over of a stronger sword to this one kind of like using it as a skin. It's funny when you have the level 20 stats of the galaxy sword into the rusty sword you start off with. 😂

Im just now starting to play stardew valley. One reason i love terraria is because they are open to doing crossovers with similar games of the genre. That's how i also found out about Don't starve together!

like other have said, forging the meowmere and infinity blade makes it way better, 100~ dmg on mine at least, it also makes a sparkle effect when killing an enemy

Now we wait for a mod that lets it shoot out bouncing cats and makes it at least Level 6 so it doesn't get outclassed

its definitely really cool, will be using this in the forge to make my infinity sword look like it. on its own the damage is bad for when you can get it, wish it had a unique gimmick or something

Statwise its not supposed to be better, BUT. Fusing weapons to get the stats of a better weapon with the looks of another exists.

Yeah the stat need comparable to Iridium sword at least, not stronger but around there.

4:04 so the meowmere isn’t actually that good in Stardew Valley but there is a feature where you can reskin your weapons. So you can take the strongest sword in the game which is the infinity blade and put a meowmere skin on it which is probably what I’m going to do

Im so happy to see this crossover of 2 of my favourite games but quite frankly the fact it doesn't shoot cats is very disappointing 😔

What I wanna know is if you can get more than one. It looks like the pylon stays completed, meaning if you sell the sword and want it later, or use its appearance on one sword and later want to change the appearance of a different sword, are you screwed? What about multiplayer?

Now we have 3 artifacts that are better used outside of the museum! The prismatic shard, Dino egg, and now the doll!

you get meowmere from the moon lord, and Yoba seems to have solar themes... kinda feels like Yoba's domain would nerf the moon lord's powers, making the meowmere weaker in stardew valley.

Bit of spoilers to new players, but the forge on Ginger Island lets you use a sword's appearance on another sword, so we can still get endgame meowmere by using it as a skin for the infinity blade.

What if you can enchant the Meowmere on the forge in Ginger Island. And by using gems and cindershard you can boost it's stat, also it would be amazing if you can upgrade it to infinity weapon by using galaxy souls. Can't wait to try it

I was in love with this until I saw the damage. It's less than swords you are guaranteed to get before it? And it's not like it has a unique feature to justify the lower damage, for example: damage at the cost of range, and it spits out flying cat projectiles. If it were up to me I'd make the damage higher than the obsidian sword, since you get it after by a number of floors.

The Dead Cells crossover coming in 1.4.5 should add some nice branches to the map, considering Dead Cells has had... probably _dozens_ of crossovers with/references to other games.
