Wow... so I immediately recognized how Cerberus Commander was voiced by SC1 Artanis, but this was the first time I ever realized he voiced the _Firebat,_ too! Over 20 years and I never noticed

My stupid ass self paused the video and hovered my pointer on the Cerberus Firebat's HUD hoping to see how much armor and damage it dealt...

Gosh, I still remember playing this back in the old days.. It was amazing to experience since you 'only' had basic land units and such, then getting FIREBATS who could burn anyone down in mere seconds! The way they kept you limited without all units unlocked was what was amazing to discover, along with speculating about these xenomorphs. Bless anyone who still plays starcraft 1.

I loved this campaign. It showed how dark the Confederacy was from the inside. The fact that the Cerberus commander coldly keeps shutting down dissent, the way even the goofball magistrate orders you to slaughter the rebels down to the last man, it goes to show that this ain't your regular sci-fi.

Fun trivia - part of this campaign was also given in the actual Demo release of Starcraft exacly : - Strongarm (mission #2) - Den of the Beast (mission #4) - Force of Arms (mission #5) I will be honest, i had no idea about this campaign having actualy 6 missions and that you could download it separatly... until like 2017 xd

The CD version of the demo had all the missions.

It's so weird seeing the Firebat portrait, and not having it be accompanied by Jack "Sleepy" Frost's voice.

Been a Starcraft fan since 1999 and I NEVER knew of this demo prequel sidestory campaign!

Apparently they didn't do a thorough job, since Tassadar goes in and burns the planet like five minutes afterwoods.

Ah Cerebus Commander I remember how his ship was Slash by the Gantrithor cannon

I expected the magistrate to be assassinated at any point during this campaign. Anyone with a working brain would have yes-sir-ed their way out of the whole situation after the first "we don't answer to you, Magistrate". Especially when they show up with a squad that can wipe out an entire base.

Wow the voice acting I think is really impressive, especially the marine voice. I almost thought it was the original voice actor

I thought this was the original game and the story when I was at the age of 3.. Until I bought the base game when I was around 8.

@@Arrinao1 This campaign was the demo version of StarCraft,and it even came in two flavors - a shorter (downloadable) version, and a longer (CD-based) version with two additional missions. Yup, you can find me in all sorts of unexpected places ;)

Oh childhood.

I wish the main game was a little more like this, with all the mystery between the races and no interaction between these very different alien species. Rather then raynors simp quest that the rest of the series is.

Too true. Even the Protoss, they go from being very ominous blwoung a guys head up in the intro to being some silly chill guys and some angry Aldaris

@@louissteven8862 For the protoss they should totally be the kind of dudes who can learn how to talk to the terrans, but refuse to do so because they are primatives. The terrans should basically have no idea what they are even fighting as frigging giant alien super warriors run around like anime protagonists slicing up their tanks and troopers.

Who would've thought Artanis would sound so... imposing as a Terran SpecForce commander? Here's to hoping the intro and outro of this game eventually get patched to the official Bnet release. Am getting tired of seeing it only in YT if not Mass Recall.

I used to play this demo. Really impressive.

i only played the downloadable demo of these missions and apparently there's even more, I think you could only play 3 missions plus online mode on 1 made tvt only
