It will be in 4K60 soon (whenever KZread finishes it). Not much I can do I'm afraid! Hope you enjoy. EDIT: 4K happened! Only took about ~15 hours. Amazing.

Zerg wins, not Serral. It could sound ridiculous, but if the SC1 was pretty well balanced in terms of each race's abilities, SC2 is unbalanced as hell in favor of Zerg: vision, map control, static defense, mobility, casters etc. The most versatile, the best unit in the game that brings a tons into the victory - did you know what unit it is? Its queen. Bam. Not a Battlecruiser, not a Carrier or Tempest. Just damn queens doing so much that even if Zerg builds 10-15 of them and looses couple, that and only that unit is responsible for how the zerg players getting insane value in comparison with T and P. It tough, it armored, it shoots up, it can heal, and finally, it increases larvae production! IMO no unit in game have such a huge list of advantages. Even the move speed - on creep it outruns half of the non-zerg units!

What Idra said was right at that time. Protoss was overpowered (and was nerfed later). His problem was that he thought he could make a change and that the community doesnt consist of only idiots. People dont unterstand balance, they only cry for their own race. So if someone like Idra, who actually unterstood the real balance problems (as we knew later), tries to change something, he had to deal with the idiot army first . It like in real life. The majority is wrong most of the time.

Neh, Serral knew exactly what to do the entire match, he was testing what voids and tempests can do in the hands of a competent player. I mean c'mon. He wiped the entire map clean of protos and still ended up with a bank big enough to rebuild an army and a half all the while ensuring that Neeb just does not have the production capacity even if he miscalculated his bank. And then there is the supply block, just put a shiny little sherry on top.

  • 3 жыл бұрын

Yes, it is a demonstration of how late game Z crushes late game P simply by slowly expanding and surrounding the opponent with creep and static defense. Maybe an impatient player would have lost by suiciding into the maxed fleet but even then Z can remax more quickly.

"We're a half hour in and nobody's winning." I'm reminded of a phrase we use in Cardgames- "I'm doing Powerful Nothing." I also love the chatting in this match. It feels like both of these guys are practicing and, and figure it's more important to dial I to the new balance patch than to actually win this, particular game. It's good sportsmanlike chit-chat, as neither is afraid to give their opponent small bits of info. Though Serral is being a cockey bastard. He's more than good enough to earn it, but he is, and I love it.

@@JR-White In cardgames, this is when you're making a huge combo happen- you're drawing your deck, making infinite resources, making cards ping-pong back and forth between the graveyard and into play, but some key piece is missing and you aren't actually winning. You're doing a lot of stuff, and none of it is ending the game.

Great game! Neeb needed to be harassing like Serral was. Imagine a dozen or so waves of a dozen zealots running into the back of Serral's base. Neeb had no win condition after the 30 minute mark. All that said, much closer final fight than I expected.

yeah, that fortified high ground for neeb was really really strong. It really did take almost serrals whole 7k resource advantage to break it, which came as quite a surprise to me. Protoss late game op? (lol, j/k. I'm pretty sure that was a "static defense op" kind of scenario)
