Professional match of StarCraft 2 between Serral and GuMiho. I do this cast completely from Serral's point of view, allowing us to have a look at what he sees during a match of SC2.

I wouldn't mind seeing more first person videos. Obviously not as a regular thing as I'm seeing people commenting that it's not the easiest watching experience, but I consume these videos largely as a podcast as I work so being able to look over and see what that player sees is a welcome change. Maybe once a week?

This was certainly a fun watch, but I would agree that it shouldn't be more than a once a week thing. Our minds might get blown open a little too far otherwise

Maybe keep it irregular, so it doesn't get boring, and cast some special games like this every once in a while? First person cast of Bronze League Heroes, with split-screen?

It is very educational. But yea, I'm sitting here at 100% focus feeling sicker than riding a roller coaster just concentrating on the (helpful)commentary and what the hell Serral is seeing and wondering how the hell this man can play like this. lol

I agree with this cadence!
As someone who doesn't even *play* starcraft, I take great pride in the fact that I at least usually know what is happening... but here, a few minutes in and my brain's like: *Just smile and wave, bois... smile and wave...*

its funny how League players has 2 playlist every day to watch, 1. Daily League videos and 2. Daily Sc2 videos even if we don't play the latter. Edit: Though I actually knows what is going on cause of years of watching Sc2, especially if you watch Harstem, Marc and Mana vids, its literally 1st person POV.

Never played starcraft before, but this casting format made me feel like i just did. And also made me feel like trying out starcraft, which wasnt the case with a "normal" match cast.

So much to learn from StarCraft Training hands : Serral Training eyes: Lowko Training hearts: Intense music Training mind and for being a part of life for 10 years Lowko I loved it it was a bratwurst of flawless StarCraft hope to see more one person views
I absolutely love watching first person casts. A typical viewer (myself included) cannot keep up with everything that is happening, but being able to see the selected targets and camera gives you such a deeper insight into what they are doing Edit: watching them is definitely more demanding, its just very nice to mix it up every now and then, its especially interesting watching someone play 'your race' Edit 2: some ways to improve the viewer experience, pausing and discussing helps give you time to catch up, and probably stick to short/mid length games
Liking this just to see more in this style. it actually helps me to know what im doing wrong compared to those who can micro 10000x better than I can.
The barrier of entry is definitely higher with this format, especially as someone that doesn't play myself, but this was awesome to see, and I would absolutely watch more first person games
As someone who played their first SCII match about a week ago (Yes, we exist, and it is mostly your fault. Thanks for quality content Lowko!), I really liked this cast. Loved the pauses for explanations as well. You must definitely do other two races now.
Isn't Serral that amateur golfer that plays StarCraft in his free time? Why is he fighting Gumiho? Edit: Wow! For an amateur golfer that plays StarCraft in his free time, Serral is pretty good!
@Tom-yg7mi
Жыл бұрын
i can tell you how it happened: Gumiho is a decent golfer too and they battled each other on the golf fields. After many remis, Gumiho came up with this legendary sentence: "It is obvious that this contest cannot be decided by our knowledge of golfing... but by our skills with a mouse and a keyboard in SC2." that's what lead to this video.

It's insane how they can (most of the time) keep track of everything that's going on in the game, including predicting the opponent. Thanks for the different vid format Lowko!

He's just not human, amazing match from Serral and the video format to highlight how skilled he is.
I actually loved this perspective I think it's a really great deal and I would love to see some more of it
I liked this :D Especially when it's Serral's PoV. He's so good at the game but it really makes you feel better about your own play when he missed injects, misses creep spread, etc. Proves he's human.
I've been waiting for you to show a Serral FPV match, this was super interesting, thanks for sharing!
The ling move at 19:49 was fantastic! Little things that just add up over time. WP once again, Serral!
Loved this format. Gives insight into how they are approaching the game. Would love to see more videos like this
Thank you Lowko, this was an amazing replay. Definitely this type of videos are helpful to understand the point of view of a high ranking player.
I liked this. The "pause to explain" moment(s) made it much better than other player's view casts I have seen before, both because you could more fully explain and to give my eyes/brain a break from the flickering around.
Make these more please. It was very intresting to see the game in player view. Your commentary was absolutly fine, no diffenrence in "normal", pure gold as usually. Thank you and greetings from Finland.
Excellent video! Would love more of these.
awesome cast! good to see a couple of my FAV SC2 individuals in one video! awesome perspective
Loved it. Thanks for the variety
Super nice Video! Thank you for all the work :*
I love being able to see how fast they are moving, and would love more of this!
Thx u Lowko for this game's cast. Very cool, captivating and always fun. I think that evry once in a while it would be really nice to have 1 game like this. Have a nice day Sir ! :)
This was great and the most interesting part is that your commentary took on a whole new life from this point of view. It was exactly like you were deciphering and translating what Serral was doing which is way different than the traditional format focusing on play by play and entertainment value (it's almost as if Lowko knows a thing or two about SC2?!). Also the camera wasn't as hectic as I thought it would be so following along wasn't an issue. Definitely keep mixing this style into future videos if you enjoyed it!
love this format. Please keep posting more!
I love it!! I’d definitely watch more of these
Man… I love the specific insight behind watching the elite players with their game view. More of these plz!
I like these videos and hope you continue! Thank you for keeping us up to date on these matches.
Loved it Lowko
It has my favorite player, playing my favorite race, in my favorite game, with my favorite caster, making it the best experience I could ever hope for! Thanks for the awesome video @LowkoTV !! I would be down for some more first person view video's in the future.
This was a super cool way to see the game! I definitely would love to see more first-person casts sprinkled in with the other casts in the future.
Nice video concept ! It is a pretty interesting idea and it’s quite different from the usual !
This was genuinely awesome to watch. Yes do again
This was cool! More of these would be great
Lowko - I think the best way to present these 1st person videos is to have half the screen a pure first person view, and the second half you following along in the replay as you normally would synched in time to the first person half. That way we get the benefit of the first person view with the broader context for what's going on. In any event, more first person please!! Love, MikeyBoy
I absolutely love POV of pros! Especially Serral. Thank you for doing this.
I really liked the first person perspective and would love to see more of it. I love being able to see little details like how the control groups are set up and where exactly the camera is looking at any given time, and what exactly they're selecting, and how they're commanding their army and all that, because it makes me feel like I could steal those little tricks to get better at the game.
Loved this style of video!
I would love to see more videos like this one. Very rarely, and I mean VERY RARELY, in tournaments they will sometimes show the first-person point of view of the player for like 5-10 seconds, at least they used to do this. I loved seeing this especially in tournaments and would love to see you cast more videos like these!
Greetings from Brazil! Great video! Keep posting player’s perspective and seeing both players from the same match would be interesting!
I like this a lot, really does feel like a first person POV. And also allows to see what the player knows and does not know. Gives us a better perspective on his decision making.
Awesome video, Lowko, thanks! Would love to see more first person casts. (maybe even from the player's stream, so we can see mouse movements also)
Love this new video idea. Certainly worth including in your mix Lowko!
Yeees!!! This is very helpful and gives a lot of insight. I'd love to see one of these once a month or so
This was more exciting and made it feel like I am playing the game. Would be great if we can get more of these!
Love it! Really great. More of it!
This was super fun! It was a much nicer experience than i imagined it would be! As I came to think of from someone else's comment, it was very nice when you paused the game to explain something. That probably increased the viewing experience, at least for me. If you're curious, I've played quite a lot of Starcraft 2 (with zerg), but it was a long time ago now. So now a days I just watch you from time to time.
Do it! Love the change in perspective. It will test your knowledge of the game and skills as an announcer. It’s fun to see you stuck behind the fog of war.
I really like this, Lowko, thank you!
I would love to see more of these. Like I would drop what I am doing to watch this as soon as it were posted
I just got into starcraft via a friend's suggestion. I know getting in starcraft at this point of time is pretty late but your videos are always easy to watch for beginners and it helps me to learn something new about this game.
I was hoping to see a POV casted by you for so much time hahahha and you casted Serral 🔥🔥 but you have to see the moment at 19:51. The lings trying to do splash damage on the ghost. Super elite move. Greetings from Chile. Always good content.
Very helpful video !
Yeah, this is fab. Really educational - obviously I'll never have that APM but seeing the hotkeys and the thought process is excellent.
This is quite interesting, your explanations are also a good way to understand the situation the player you're casting is, also makes it easier to see the skill gap between us plebs. If it was up to me I'd say one of these once a week would be the sweetspot
need more of this mister caster king
I've been watching a few proplayers' channel and I got used to the speed after a few games. I still couldn't figure half of what Serral did even in first person mode, this was very entertaining!
I'm always up for different ways of experiencing StarCraft short of playing it. This was very fun
Yes! More of these First Person View game reviews. Loved it.
Yes please. I like this type of video. It helps to give insight to what a player thought process is
I searched for exactly this type of video. A FPV of Serral. Thanks!
These first person view videos are awesome. Do more of them!!! It is just eye opening what the true gap between normal people and the professional players is.
I always wondered what it looked like in the eyes of a pro. Amazing video
I love to see their perspective vision, thanks Lowko :D
It is really a good format Lowko, showcasing how much difference between top pros and viewers have. Especially after watching this match i can clearly say my games are split images of Serral's only exceptions are losing my main base while i'm trying to micro 4 ravager i got or losing my army when i try to make a handsome base.
I do would love to watch more videos like this, i think it can help understand a lot of the decision making when you are seeing the same amount of info they are seeing
that was fun to watch. I would like to see this style of game play more often if you could plz , pretty plz.
I really enjoyed seeing the FPPOV! It is a nice change up from what we normally see.
I just recently got into StarCraft fully and I gotta say, as an eSports player of the FGC in the amateur league, a washed up CS:S ESL player as well, I see what is happening, I am learning so much, picking up so much knowledge about how important it is to set up proper hotkeys and *why* APM matter. I love this. Take my sub man.
This was really interesting as I've always wanted to know what the gameplay from a Pro Player looked like, one of these once in a while I think would be really cool for us and you as well Lowko, but you may have to do a few to get into the groove like you do with the normal casts. I really enjoy it
Hey Lowko, would very much like to see more of this stuff/format 🙂👍
I like it. The first person match really changes the veiwing experience. Would love to see dark, rogue, or maru. Or a back and forth of serrals blizzcon matches agains stats.
YES!! More videos like this please.
I like that first Person View. Nice Video as always!
I am a youtube viewer only, never played a game of starcraft myself. I follow you for about two years now and got a quite theoretical understanding of the game so far. Seeing Serral play really impressed me, showing me what people actually see and have to react to in the actual game. It makes it even more impressive to see how most pro gamers interact with each other based on how little information they have of each other. The caster curse, seeing all the info at once, with additional data support really spoiled me a bit :D So ya. I am in on the "once a week" plan of seeing first person games! really impressive
Loved it, i'm usually quite analytical so seeing things from the players perspective was really cool. Certainly grabbed my attention more than the usual "3rd person" casts
How I got good at SC...was doing exactly this. I watch replays of top players from their perspective. You learn alot more.
1:53 That would be good title: Serral is even gooder. Yes do it again Lowko, casting from player's vision and explaining what he can think is awesome.
I like how harstem brought up the idea of doing this yesterday and today here we are. I love ya Lowko, Im guessing it's gotta be something in the water over there in the Netherlands.:)
The perspective change was great!. Was nice to hear you go into more depth in a particular strategy rather than making generic statements for both players. Would love to see more like this.
Thanks for the first person video, awesome to see through the eyes of the greats!
I think this is a really cool type of video. More would be cool!
Yes, keep doing these kind of videos
Love the first person view! It may limit our usual omniscience in a way, but offers a lot more insight into where the player’s focus is and their decision making.
I'm glad I've seen this, so thank you Lowko. I was actually talking with my roomate about what 600 APM looks like. Définitely too fast for my pace =)
I like this format for occasional videos. Cool to see
very nice this PoV with explanations !! good !
Got an ad exactly when you said "I'm gonna pause for just a moment" it was pretty funny to me
Very interesting pov game. I lurk, but I like. Definitely would see more of this style of cast.
Love this idea man, you could even split this into two episodes and do the other players perspective too. Keep up the good work as always
imo This is like watching a pro guitar hero gameplay . you know you would never be able to do 1/10 of what he does but you somehow manage to understand what is happening anyways . So I think its a great idea , loved the video , certainly a challenge even for lowko I believe . So yeah , I m down to see more of these sometimes ;D
Yup, this was a blast to watch!
Please do more like this Lowko, ive always wanted u to do videos like this! Could u maybe do a Maru one next? I wanna see how one of the best terran players work, with ur announcer skills aswell.
Getting to watch from a pro’s perspective, with excellent commentary, was quite nice!
Yes please do more pov games. I am zerg main and seeing the hotkeys and how the player especially serral plays helps a lot. That's really cool that you got that. I would study those very closely if i got my hands on them.
the camera switching was a little rough at first but I got used to it by the end. Really liked the video, always wanted to see a game from serral's perspective. Also loved the pause to further explain what was going on. There's just too much to take in with no stops.
Love the pov, keep it on!
I kinda like the stand point of how you did this video. It makes me see a better POV of the game, it makes it like a guessing game
