One thing I hate of this mission are the probes that they get stuck so easily.

If wish the buildings took up a smaller space while they are warping in, so that Probes can slip by even a full wall-in of warping buildings.

Thanks for this, attacking the stones early is key. I didn't have the solar beam so just used time stop ability when the banelings and ultras got close and that also worked.

Thanks for this walkthrough; for the longest time, I couldn't get the holdout solarite, but I finally managed it this evening, AND got the final 1.8 billion Zerg achievement!

Actually, I walled off with nexuses with the photon overcharge ability and stacked a bunch batteries and a bunch of kaydarin stuff behind them, I lived 2.4 billion zerg :)

I don't care how long it's been since you left that comment; I wanted to say that I'm grateful for the tip! I beat it on my first attempt using this new strategy! Before this I replayed the mission several times for the 10th anniversary achievement (2.3B Zerg), without success.

Also for checking areas is nice to click solar lance (since stops the time), then if nothing is worth it, cancel it

I hope this can help you. Chrono surge can be use to saturate you mineral income in a fraccion of time, because acelerate the unit production.

Thanks, it took me three reloads the very first time on Hard, but when I flipped to Brutal I was able to finish it first try.

omg how do you do this if you chose shakuras first? I couldn't even go back after I found out literally everybody who did walkthroughs did shakuras second

Good guide, I managed to do 2,273 bilion on hard using your tactics. (I was struggling with the stones, never knew when is the most appropriate moment to hunt them down, usually focusing on my defence at the beginning point). Unfortunately my temple was tomato so I couldn't get it to 2,3

Watching feels like you have so much more time setting up then when your acrually playing

What happened to the mission before this one? Why is the rum always gone?

in some way you did great job but i figured out great defense this is the row order shield battery, photon canons and then monolith it got me a perfect defense and it almost got to 2 million

I failed at this mission even in normal...now i know..ill try your strategy...

I've gotta say I am having a hard time with this mission. I've tried walling off. Massing dragons and DTs and I still get overrun this mission is soo dang hard. Once I think I get things under control the air untis always blindside me then everything else falls apart!

@@IxtzalitEventually. The only way to beat it is if you use colossi. They'll fry up the zerg before they get close.

@@MrRepoman197 Actually I dont have colossi in this mission. I guess I have to restart the campaign and do the Moebius corps missions first to have more upgrades in this one.

@@Ixtzalit scratch that sorry I got mixed up with the mission "in utter darkness". The only way to really beat this mission is to use the turrets(cannons) They zap the hybrid easy. Wall off each entrance too that'll give you more breathing space

In many ways I almost wished in some missions you're forced to temporarily use the Avengers. THEN maybe for once we can finally hear the damn "Avengers, assemble!" phrase, something the marvel live action films are still denying us :P

So much like the mission in BW. I guess you had a lot to do to understand this mission

Take a shot every time he said 'monolith' 😂

I went to Shakuras before going to Korhal, meaning I don't have Solar Lance available to me. Which is unfortunate, given that it's a core part of this guide.

My first time with this mission i had to retry 3 times to get the 1.5 bilion kills and i finished with 1.770 kill, so close to the 1.8 kills achievement

Well I just built units, and I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW MONOLITHS (or whatever it's name) was available, guess I have to read more, finally I can beat this mission

Ok, now I get your secret, you just like it messy)) I would be revolted with myself for completing this mission in such a sloppy way, even if I actually get better results) DOTA type scenarios like "New Fulsom" I can deal with, the messiness is build into their nature, but castle defense awakes a raging perfectionist in me: everything must be tight and geometrically aligned, any macro but perfect macro is unforivable shitty macro, and Khala forbid I lose a Monolyth due to lack of attention, I'll just have to start from scratch

Can't believe its been almost 5 years since this video. Did this on hard, at some point brutal. Once I get the Zenith stones it shouldn't be too bad, I hope.

but i only played on normal so you did better

Noooo, the nexus overcharge is key to this mission (with it you can hit 2.2 billion with ease)
