Thanks for showing us the tactic with the infantry going out of base & banshees clearing nydus canals, did it on first try ^^

Your opening managed to save my brutal campaign from the archives and got me the 29 win achievement after many years since I started it, thank you. The positioning was so good that kerrigan couldn't even overrun my defenses in the last wave as she did in the 99.9% of my other tries. I had some difficulties and needed to use the artifact many times though because I didn't have the slows from Psi Disrupters, Concussive Shells from marauders or any banshee upgrades, making the defense weaker, but mind controlling the ultralisks and the bunkers with bonus hp helped giving enough time for my workers (all removed from the mineral line at the end) to repair everything at the high ground, while the marine suicide squad dealt with Kerrigan by baiting her razor swarm and removing most of her hitpoints through her hidden damage barrier that makes her ignore siege tank shells.

Not quitting the mission because of Horner should be an achievement.

Im so glad this is here, Ive been trying to do it on normal and I just get stomped. Will use this strat. Thankyou

They Patch Overseers, now they follow you banshees, destroying the Nydus is pretty difficult now

The cloak isn't as useful anymore. But all zerg units are rallied to the artifact, so if you deaggro the hydras, you can just fly past them and get the nydus. It gets tough though when there are so many nyduses that the stream of hydras are almost constant.

Tip: Try not to finish Belly of the Beast if you want to play All In on Brutal/Hard. Mutalisks and Brood Lords make it insanely hard to defeat if you have the wrong unit upgrades equipped. For example, I went for Planetary Fortress instead of Perdition Turrets, and upgraded all infantry units but neglected the Vikings, Banshees and Battlecruisers

I think the play is to beat belly of the beast only if you picked the mind control not psi emitter. I just mind controlled 50 plus zerg flyers ez win

@@Makkaer1111 yea, but apparently i beat all in without getting rid of the zerg flyers before (without mind control). But that was many years back

How do you get Overseers to not follow your banshees? I can't leave the base without an overseer being glued to my banshees.

Seems they patched this at some point, I just did another play through and there were tons of them all over. Still doable without even using nova even once on Brutal for the 10th anniversary achievement, however.

I did it using nova just once on Brutal. I used it at the end after like 90% when the AI started spawning nyduses everywhere. Before that rush at the end, you have to look at the minimap to find a path for your banshees that avoids the hydras. The big packs of hydras come from the nydus, and they're all rallied to the artifact. So if you wait a bit, the nydus will be undefended by hydras long enough for you to snipe it.. About 11 regular banshees should 2 shot a brutal nydus.

I killed my banshees. this was quite effective. the overseers did not follow them after that.

I never thought about pulling back that far... i only did it on the right side, never the left, huh.

yes. don't use seige tanks since their splash damage could kill nydus worms that spawn in their range. block all valid nydus worm positions on the hi ground around the artifact. block the tops of both ramps with 2 engineering bays and 1 other structure for each ramp. put psi disruptors near your walls. repair your walls carefully. too many scvs repairing the same target wastes minerals. make some ravens and put point defense drones around your walls. kill the hydralisks with something that deals single target damage. you probably should kill roaches and overseers too, but let the zerglings and ultralisks live. after the zerg are supply blocked, transport your antikerrigan army away from your base in hercules. confront kerrigan far forward so the other zerg don't join you. prepare for kerrigan with some point defense drones, but evacuate the ravens before kerrigan arrives. mine when you can, but protecting your main base may be too hard. instead fly away the command center and wait until the zerg leave. then land the command center and start mining again. you need money for repairs. if you can move your antikerrigan army forward beyond where nydus worms can spawn, this can help avoid accidentally killing a nydus worm. don't get the shockwave missile batteries upgrade for your banshees.

Losing 900 minerals worth of supply depots for no reason was eh...

i just beat the campaign, its a great free experience, really very well made, i enjoyed it, i first beat stacraft 1, really it feels like starcraft 1 is on hard difficulty, i started WOL on high and had no problems, its easier than stacraft 1, it has a lot of hints, in starcraft 1 you have none, some missions i did by myself some i watched your walkthroughs, i got all achievements possible, im very satisfied, but i dont think i will be playing multiplayer, i enjoy only the singleplayer of stacraft, but a very good improvement to the first one is made
