Hi everyone!
I can't believe it's that time already! This video was supposed to be uploaded on July 18th, marking my fourth-anniversary doing pixel art of MCSM and perusing to draw in pixel art entirely. I'm glad to be able to make it back on KZread just in time to post this Speedart of Jesse! I will admit, the drawing is a bit off and not as satisfying as my other speed paints, but I'm just happy with how it turned out in the end.
This drawing was inspired by Disney's song "Up" from the Star Darlings show. I also used a palette "Seeing Stars" by Keys from Dotpict, which is the app I use to make pixel art (the original palette was less saturated, so I modified all the colors to be slightly brighter)
Something about this song spoke to me with how I believe Jesse has progressed throughout her adventures. I can't help but feel so much of this song resonates with Jesse, especially where she stands against Romeo. This song is equivalent to the "Fight Song," like these are the powerful thoughts and emotions she has when facing him, her biggest challenge of all. A lot of the words work so well with her personality too!
The drawing I did of her is what I believe Jesse would have looked like if she was a popstar and in a band with The Order, which is an AU that I have actually made that to this day I haven't shared with anyone, and I put a lot of thought into it. Who knows, maybe one day I'll share it on Amino.
