@@lightnihilus I know the Tau well enough that they could work better in Star Wars than in 40k. I say that because of peace treaties and other forms of government stuff. Would they get with the Separatist? Probably, as long as Donku doesn't appear bad them, sure but they'll probably get along way better with the Republic.

@@PrestonDCox I totally agree. The Starwars Legends Universe is alot more peace get along Universe Compared to Warhammer 40K. The Tau are my only favorite faction in Warhammer 40K. Lets just say that The CIS/Separatist, Republic, and the Tau got along in the Starwars Legends Universe. I'm pretty sure that Dooku would do well good with talking to the Tau peacefully. Dooku does pretty good with those types of things. To let you know alot of Neutrol systems did join the CIS/Separatist during the Clone wars. Some Neutrol systems joined the Republic, and some other Neutrol Systems stayed Neutrol. The CIS/Separatist , Tau, and the Republic got along. Grand Admiral Thrawn also is with Count Dooku while talking to the Tau peacefully. To also let you know Sidious has both factions of the Separatist/CIS and the Republic

I prefer the lesson of "Always have air support". Hyena bombers or some kind of air force to provide ground fire/interdict the drop pods would have made this battle a lot more even.

I have a feeling your confusing the names of raven guard and blood angels, blood angels have they're name for a reason because in they're genes they're vampires that drink blood in the fields like an addiction and the Raven guard has a huge obsession with ravens but the blood angels have white wings such as they're primarch (Sanguineous) he has huge white wings and they reward each other with blood in cups so basically to sum up the blood angels, they're 7-9 ft tall space Marines that are addicted to drinking blood so they named themselves blood angels because theyre the angels of the emperor

Ever since the Imperium's invasion on the Star Wars galaxy that turned the Clone Wars from a puppet war into a real all-out war albeit unwittingly, the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems decided to work together and fight against the common enemy as they deployed a combined force of Clone Troopers and Battle Droids on Christophsis with the objective of capturing the Imperial supply base to seize its weapons for reverse engineering and fight back against the Imperium. The Clones aren't exactly thrilled of working with Droids and fighting alongside them but orders are orders from the Republic command and good soldiers follow orders. The combined force have 9 NR-N99 Persuader-class droids, 6 Armored Assault Tanks, 6 TX-130 Saber-class fighter tanks, 6 Octuptarra tri-droids, 5 All Terrain Tactical Enforcers, 3 All Terrain Open Transports and 3 Multi-Troop Transports on their side. On the other hand, the men and women of the Imperial Guard mobilized themselves to take defensive positions with 8 Basalisk Batteries, Layered Defenses, Vanquisher Turrets and Heavy Mortars and defend the supply base from Republic-Separatist attacks. As the brave Guardsmen who faced down foul xenos and vicious daemons, they will hold the line against the combined slave armies of the heretical Republic and Separatists. The battle begins with the disposable force of Droids sent in first to probe defenses and the Guardsmen are the first to open fire with their weapons, turrets, and artillery pieces. After entering the killzone, the Droids returned fire and continued their advance despite already suffering heavy lossess. The B1s are the quickest to go down while the B2s and Spider Droids lasted a bit longer and shot down a few Guardsmen with their blaster fire before they too were destroyed. Standard Trade Federation tactics have proven to be ineffective against the Imperium as the last of the Spider Droids are wiped out. After that, the main assault force of Clones and Droids moved in with their respective tanks being the first to start their attack. However, the Imperial artillery fire is highly effective against the exposed attackers as the heavy mortars and Basalisk Batteries lay heavy barrage on the tanks of the Republic and Separatists, taking out several of them. Meanwhile the said tanks opened fire on the Guardsmen and killed several of them. The defenders suffered light casualties but they still hold strong and kept firing on their advancing enemies. The Clones and Droids dismount from their AT-OTS and MTTs and charged towards the ongoing battlefield where the remaining Republic and Separatist tanks and walkers exchange fire with the Imperials who had their full attention and opened fire on them with immense abhorrence. The attackers are slowly advancing near towards the slowly bleeding Imperial defenses despite the losses they have suffered. Suddenly, the Republic and CIS forces realize their mistake too late as 10 Space Marine Drop Pods landed from above and out came the Space Marines of the Blood Ravens Chapter. The Astartes opened fire on the surprised Clones and Droids who were routed and massacred. They did not stand a chance and the remaining Guardsmen are emboldened by the Space Marines' surprise attack and left their defensive positions to wipe out the surviving attackers. Many Clones and Droids are completely wiped out with no survivors left and their tanks and walkers have been utterly destroyed, resulting in a devastating Republic-CIS defeat at the hands of the Blood Ravens and Imperial Guard.

That's just cruel, the combined forces were already struggling to even approach and then they get slammed from behind by a half company of Blood Angels. If they had three times their numbers that might have been called for but as is I expect the BAs will be vocally complaining about this being a waste of their time.

@@lightnihilus that saying isn't from anywhere, it's been said in practically any work that wants even a hint of grimness for their story.

The lesson here is tactics. Don't charge headfirst into entrenched infantry with no cover, concealment or artillery prep. Flank the enemy, hold forces in reserve and get some air support.

This is absolutely not what neither the CIS or the GAR would do in a battle like this.

Finally, a successful defense.

Go watch AFanWithTooMuchTime; He's got a nice Star Wars vs 40K crossover going on his channel, yes that is his channel name.

Clearly the star wars forces need to revise their tactics to face this kind of foe. Even if the warhammer forces can't replenish their losses or space marines, these kind of attacks play wholly into their hands. If they want to be really effective, they'll need to adopt more facets to an attack than just infantry and armored forces. They need air support, they need artillery, they need behind-the-lines landings, and they'll need them all at once to crack a fortress like that. They could potentially do it, too. With their substantial advantage in hyperdrives, they could bring ARC-170's or other hyperdrive fighters and bombers into a warzone even through an enemy blockade (a very 'rebellion' tactic). They could coordinate wildly diverse forces from a system over. They could have infantry support platforms fly a bunch of super battledroids behind enemy lines to run amok (dipping out of the atmosphere if they need to). In the event they DO have orbit over an enemy planet, the amount of fighters available to the attackers pose a massive problem to the defending forces.

@@Bluesonofman I'm not so certain. The time it takes to set up a viable, loyal colony such that you can draw reliable human tithes from it might take a longer time than they've been in the SW galaxy. Recruiting the colonists directly might not be sustainable in the long run, and trying to draw from the local extremists might not be viable either, since they aren't usually extreme enough for warhammer. I *could* see them servitor-izing any captured clones and human POW's, or making penal units out of human civilians, the former of which is probably the most viable option in the short term. Penal units could be subverted by a clever jedi or three breaking their bomb collars.

@@Bluesonofman not much more than any other human culture. They have such a critical mass of population back home because they got most of it going well before everything really went to shit. That reflects on their initial battles here, but their potential settlements and starship communities can't adequately sustain the kinds of losses they were taking in previous battles. Kids take time to grow up, longer than clone troopers and much longer than droid assembly.

2:14 a personal note, the moment the turrets fire, everyone in front of and directly below their guns is instantly killed by overpressure, those in the next defense layer below that are severely injured and/or stunned by the blast. By the third time they've fired, everyone injured and stunned by the first shots is dead. In lore the leman russ' main gun they are equipped with is a 120mm smooth bore gun, same size and caliber as the M1 abrams MBT, if you are in front of and below the gun of an abrams when it fires, the pressure wave from the shot will kill you without the shell ever having to touch you.

When the clone army and the CIS army band together to fight the imperial guard and look how that turned out

@@Methyll Well thats disney not my fault. Though doesnt mean to trash Starwars Legends. Starwars in the first place came from George Lucus the creator. At least give credit to that bro. Alot of people prefer the Starwars Legends verson compared to the Canon verson.

Poor Star wars, they're so terribly out classed in the mods. To get them to accomplish taking a line requires around 400% of the defenders

@@josephjohnson5415 The difference between Starwars Legends and Starwars Canon. Is that Starwars Legends is way more overpowered compared to Starwars Canon. The Legends lore goes into more details Starwars Legends also has somewhat of a different storyline to it.

I like to dream up my own 40k characters like a brother of the emperor who is an able to his Kane and has to go into the warp on a single emperor class battleship on an odyssey to save the emperor completing 13 impossible tasks. Of course fan fiction is a lot of fun.

@@lightnihilus Warhammer does have Antimatter weaponry such as Particle Weapons, Conversion Beamers, Obliteratums etc. A few Exterminatus Weapons are also suspected of containing Anti-matter.

Standard Imperial Guard tactics: affix bayonets and charge into artillery fire.

Don't we all love it when we watch something entertaining and the people making it always give one side too big of an advantage and make it no fun to watch?

I think why the Clones and Droids always lose is because they lack the fire power that Imperial Guard has, the weapons the Clones and Droids always use are beam weapons and sometimes rockets or missiles even in their vehicles while the Imperial Guard has lasgun, grenade launcher, plasma gun, heavy bolters, lascannon, assault cannon and their vehicles Chimera, Sentinel, Hellhound, Basilisk, Lemun Russ Battle Tank and Baneblade Super Tank.

The Imperium has the range advantage. In Star Wars, the range of standard blaster is around 100-300 m (109-328 yd). That's low when compared to modern firearms (M4 Carbine) that have a range of 500-600 m (550-660 yd).

@@Noah-zz8uw Neither the films nor tv series show the DC-15A to be capable of such a range. Non of the clones have ever fired from that kind of distance. Most fans believe that info to be a typing error or in-universe exaggeration.

@@jager2749 Take the Legends Grevious in Starwars Legends its said that hes a total nightmare. And take his Starwars Legends IG-100 Magna Guards. Magna Guards -( Can fight in battles and in Wars. Even with their heads destroyed, chopped off, bodies split, split in half, )

Quick question...why did the guardsmen run out from their fortified positions towards any already defeated enemy creating a situation that would result in massive crossfire issues especially with the type of weapons space marines use?

Beautifully done, my hat is off to you, But Between 500 and 200 meters out from the trenchworks should have had a 300 meter wide minefield with two safe pathways through. The deep strike marine attack should have only been launched when the enemy was within the minefield. The IG should not have charged out of the trenches but stayed put and continued firing into the bogged down enemy. Imperium casualties would have been lower in the end.

im getting less engaged in this cuz literally every episode star wars gets wiped out insantly...like what was the point of dropping those space marines onto them...it removes all tension from an already lopsided fight. :P

Honestly same. I really enjoy the spectacle and cinematography but the inherent story lost me when the space marines dropped in. I get W40K is overpowered because of lore, but that felt kinda cheap…

I'd wager that one of star wars' biggest tactical advantage, namely numerous starfighters, gunships, and other aerial forces, can't be adequately illustrated in men of war 2.

The Imperium has its own Aerial and space forces Guardsmen have no problem using the locals as meatshields The Imperium has plenty of Anti-air as well. Titans can destroy Star Destroyers Besides, SW needs to worry more about Orks, Tyranids and CHAOS!

One Space Marine is probably worth a whole regiment of clones. They're one of the few investments that the Imperium can't afford to waste.

Bruh. If Tau entered that battle it will be over in no time especially if they used the XV 88 or stealth suits to harass the Starwars puppets! The counter charge is spectacular!!!

I love how the Blood Ravens just sped it up...fricking space marines steal all the glory again...and knowing the chapter that's not all they 'recaptured'.

Should have just used defoliator artillery on those defensive trenches couple shots is all it would have taken. Good video though.

@@Noah-zz8uw Arcing the AT-TE shots would only work if they loaded their mass drivers with solid shell ammunition which they can do. Really all they'd have to do though is just load bunker buster shells or HE shells and those trenches and buildings would be gone in a shot or two. Defoliators would be better though since that artillery only affects organic matter it'd leave all the weapon emplacements and buildings intact.

@@lightnihilus no offense but you most likely just pissed of a very large community. I know 40k has problems, and a lot of people don't understand how a space marine power scales to other characters from other franchises, but saying it shouldn't exist is taking it a little too far. I don't understand much about Star Wars, but I wouldn't say it shouldn't exist because I don't think it should. I have a feeling that you have encountered many buttermilk bobs when trying to have discussions about 40k and Star Wars. If you encounter one just fucking ignore them, they will do whatever it takes to prove they are right and you are wrong. There is no discussion with them.

Where did you get those Basilisk turrets? Can't find them in editor
