This is about right. Ultimately The Duel was probably my favorite because of the twist that the Ronin is an effen Sith hunter which is probably the most badass thing in the galaxy. However, the Ninth Jedi has the most potential for an entire series. To be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing any characters from this again during a full-length series.

The elder had some of the best natural dialogue. The way the padawan interacted with the kids was a nice touch considering most of visions lacked proper dialogue to begin with. But the best was the duel. The reveal of what he is was stunningly beautiful

Honestly I kinda liked how ridiculous ‘The Twins’ was. It wasn’t really supposed to be canonically or scientifically accurate, it was mostly just fun. And I understand why people wouldn’t like it for those reasons, but personally I just thought it was pretty good even if its just for the spectacle of it. Also, I liked the animation and color design

The ship in the village bride is actually a z-95. (we also see them used by the Republic in the clone wars) Also that's my personal favourite episode.

Maybe conjecture, but I think "Lop and Ocho" includes a Gollofree HTT as the father's shuttle

I always thought that in Tatooine Rhapsody he was running away from the clones, and that's why he joined the Hutt in his band. I think that would make more sense for the story line

My Top 4 would be 1. The Duel - The MC is mysterious, and the art style is very unique, and it is making me wonder if he use to be a Jedi or not. (I want a series of this lol) 2. The Ninth Jedi - The plot is amazing, the reveal caught me off guard and it makes you stay tuned to what will happen next, I also like how they made it so the lightsabers colour reflect the wielders force. (I also want a series of this) 3. The Elder - I really like the style, and how the Elder uses the lightsaber, I also love how the MC finishes the Elder so simply yet made it look so badass. 4. Village Bride - The music was great, and the last fight with her using the rocket boots or force speed was pretty awesome.

Lop and Ocho was actually one of the most impressive for me. The music was the best of them all, the story was the most developed imo, and the artstyle was solid even if the main character was a rabbit. Only thing I can really hold too much against it was the English voice acting for adult Ocho.

Lop and ocho was my fave. Aside from being a furry, apperantly the creator wanted to step away from the usual human lead schtick and apparently the ending was to set up for a series. Rumor has it that the vision episodes or possibly some of them are becoming canon. Hopefully some of them continue if there is ever a season two. I also seriously wanna see lop develop more I think she is worthy of being a great character.

My personal favorite was the village bride because it explored the force in unique ways and gave more weight and emphasis in the use of a lightsaber. However, I also find it really nice how everyone seems to have their own favorite and that I doubt any one person’s rankings would mirror another person’s.

Lop and Ocho was my favorite one actually. I enjoyed the art style and story. Would love to see a continuation.

10:35 Nah, that’s a Z-95 Headhunter. You can tell because of the far more streamlined cockpit and lack of any extra wings. Essentially they were an earlier version of the ARC-170.

Yeah now in Legends there is a Clone Version for the Navy that they used in parallel to the Arc due to the fact that the Z95 was a One Man Fighter while the Arc-170 was more of a Longrange and Reconnaissance fighter due to the fact that got a Pilot a Co-Pilot and a rear gunner

I really like the concept of how the lightsabers color works instead of what we already know about light saber they change color depending on use using like when the sith pulled out the lightsaber they turned red but when they died and a Jedi picked them they changed to green I even like how when one Jedi who under there control when he finally snapped out of it his saber turned purple

@@cowardlygaming1495 the purple is showing he was a (idk how to spell it but it’s a form called “va-pad”) user like Mace Windu, which was a form that used the others dark side against them, but was forbidden by yoda because it could lead people down the dark side, which they showed perfectly!!

Ironically, The Twins and T0-B1 are two of my favorites. The Twins: It was over the top, but that's also Studio Trigger's style from what I've heard, so I'll roll with it. Karre's also an interesting protagonist since he's not interested in the war between the New Republic and the Galactic Empire/First Order, but wants to live free with his sister Am. I can respect that. Plus, there's a theory that the twins are clones of Luke created by the Sith Eternal, so that's my headcanon until proven otherwise. I would love to see more of these two. T0-B1: Definitely an homage to Astro Boy which, considering Osamu Tezuka was apparently inspired by early Disney animation, I can say "the circle is now complete." It also delves into the question of whether or not droids can use the Force. One that has been debated both in and out of universe. I'm going to say yes in this case, but only because T0-B1 seems to be powered by Kyber Crystals which themselves are connected to the Force. Since he's carrying out his creator Mitaka's quest to terraform inhospitable planets, who know's what adventures he'll go on? That said, the Ninth Jedi was third place for me. I can see why a lot of people want it to become it's own series.

Akakiri was an homage to The Hidden Fortress, which itself was one of the major inspirations for the original Star Wars

A nice touch was the Margrave’s saber suddenly sprouting a ring guard when he takes it from the sith. Like his connection with the force is so strong it alters how the kyber crystal works. EDIT: also, I know it doesn’t really change how you’d think of Lop and Ocho, but Lop’s species, the Lepi, have been around since the 1977 marvel comics. They’re literally as old as Star Wars itself, saying they don’t fit is like saying stormtroopers don’t fit. It’s basically ritual suicide sacrilege.

I wanna know more about this. I didn't like the art style of the bunny character, I don't care if that species has been around star wars for so long. It's the art style of that one character that I didn't like. They made it cute and furry, which is a style that, for me, just doesn't belong with star wars at all. They tried to make a character that's cute and animal like, and then becomes a Jedi in a matter of days. Doesn't make sense.

And although I disagree with the uploader of the video comparing a child to their adult version. People change a lot, with more time there could be more depth to the characters. Although I think the ninth Jedi is most deserving of getting a continuation, alongside the duel and the bride one with F.

I agree with where Tattoine Raspohdy is, but there's something that I should say: I believe that the reason the Padawan joined that band was because he was hiding from Clone Troopers after Order 66. The first scene is what I took as him running from clones while his master was shot dead because of the clones, trying to defend him

Had a good idea behind it but didn’t come out well at all

I've seen a few reviews of the show after watching it and I love that everyone seems to collevtively love the slow tea drinking robot.

The planet in The Village Bride actually reminded me of Pijal from Master & Apprentice. Also that ship in The Village Bride is not a modified ARC-170, it's more of a Clone Z-95 starship/ headhunter.

Argue with me but akakiri is the best for me, due to the way they animate the lightsabers, and the artstyle is just seems new and old in the same time

bro when you said Lop and Ocho I was like WHAT it’s much MUCH higher on my list. I really liked that one.

I personally feel like the biggest miss opportunity was Anime about Old Republic, just imagine the opening was a battle between Jedi and Sith going all out in grand battle scale

Lop & ocho was my favourite, the ninth Jedi isn’t far behind (would love to see a continuation of both)

My personal favorites in order were probably The Duel, The Village Bride, The Ninth Jedi, and then most of all The Elder. They're the ones I feel more or less nailed it even if they occasionally had that anime flavor to them. I know a lot of them are weird, and definitely not for me. Like, they feel like something wearing the peeled off skin of Star Wars. But at the same time, I still appreciate the whole collection. Lucasfilm basically gave these studios creative liberty to show us their interpretation of Star Wars. And even the weirdest ones still kinda feel like a love letter to the franchise. I like the spirit of the endeavor, if not the actual execution.

4-5 are definitely my favorites. The bride is a solid stand alone story and the I really want to see the ninth Jedi as a full series. While most of the shorts are self contained or felt like they mid way thru their season the 5th episode is the perfect start to something that could become a full series

I really disagree with his ranking at #8 with lop and ocho. that was one of the better episodes imo. my top three would be the ninth jedi, lop and ocho, and the elder with my least favorite being Tattooine rhapsody and akakiri.

I really liked Akakiri, a look into how a Jedi can get turned to the dark side, in a very moody and atmospheric style. Much more then Tobi, more then The Village Bride although Bride was super pretty, and a I think just a little more then Elder or maybe on par.

For all the reasons you mentioned that’s kinda why the Duel is my favorite. I forget that not everyone sees that studio that made it the same (studio in question being Studio Trigger) where random things happen including space explosions and mega lasers and just rolling with it and to the average viewer that can be really weird and off putting like when you try and think of it in any rhyme or reason you’re left with like random things happening and going for no particular reason or being exaggerated to a comedic level

My favorite is The Village Bride. I thought it was amazing: mysticism, not telling us everything about everyone, the music was amazing, I really liked the art style,...

I think that if repurposed correctly, it could have been made into a superior sequel trilogy. It has many cool ideas that would both make Star Wars fresh and differentiate a new era without getting too overboard. I also liked the animation the best in this one

I have seen different people ranking from different video all of them have the 9th Jedi in the top 3 most were top 1 that is very impressive it really connect the canon

The plot of having a small village in trouble is very popular in samurai films, especially kurosawa films.

The twins is by far the best for me because It’s trigger so I was already expecting nonsensical stuff and it was awesome

Village Bride was my favorite. The art was amazing and the plot was great. The music was jaw dropping. And yes, the floating earrings.

The Dual. Would like to see more of this guy. A non Jedi going after sith.

Give us more of Kara (the girl from "The Ninth Jedi"). She's great. More of F (the Jedi from "The Village Bride"), too.

I think the one problem almost all the episodes share is that they're way too short

"The Duel" is just another level in my opinion, those "Kurosawa" vibes won my heart.

I’d say The Duel was my favorite. (Your #2), the art style, animation, finally getting to see The Ronin in action. Man it was just an amazing episode.. The Ronin has got to be my favorite character other than Darth Vader.

I agree with the episodes in your top 4, but not the order. I would put The Village Bride at two and put The Duel at 4. These top 4 are all amazing though, so I can put up with any order of those.

My favorite 3 are the same too, the elder, the duel and the ninth jedi were class

@crystalblade13 Sameee, there's no episode where it really describes what a Jedi truly is. The rest are just, rebellion and awesome fight scenes. But it seems like they forgot a Jedi role is a peacekeeper, and we really do see that truly happens in the village bride. We see her struggling to make the decision to leave them alone or help them, and possibly destroy everything. We see her asking others for their opinion on what would happen if the attack was thwarted because of her indecision or because she was still a padawan. We see her knighting herself, finally making her decision after a full night, and we see how terrifying a Jedi is to the more common people. Honestly, my favourite, the amount of small details they put into the episode is just gorgeous.

Loved the top two in your list, both could easily be turned into series.

The Twins is my number 1 I love how breaks all the conventual barriers and goes full on over the top anime.

Great vid Bombastic. I really liked Village Bride and Ninth Jedi.

"Lop & Ocho" was my number 1. The artstyle, the story, the (japanese) voice acting (I change between english and japanese depending on the artstyle). This one was my emotional highlight (even if I'm not into furrys, the bunny girl was just too cute). "The Duell" had an artstyle like an animated manga and the fact we didn't get a hero but an antihero as the MC makes it my number 2. For #3 I'm devided between "The Ninth Jedi" which gave me the mystic about lightsabers from the original trilogy and "The village bride" which shows the non-war part of a Jedi's job and gave me the feeling that jedi are awesome after all. Also I love her tactical high heels. As a sidenote: Is it just me or does T0-B1's japanese voice sound like Son Goku? Also, Am's lightsaber suit from "Twins" was neat, but the chin part resembled Vaders suit too much for my liking.

Yeah but It's studio trigger, often times their stories don't make much sense on logical stand point and are very over the top but that's what you should expect from them and that's not a bad thing If It's coming from that studio. But I don't mean to say you can't dislike it for not making much sense that's valid reasoning I'm just saying that's the style of Trigger's animes but despite that they're shows are still very fun to watch.

I really want a short series of The Duel with the same style. A mysterious sith-hunting ronin roaming the galaxy performing acts of good along the way, with some cowboy flavoring to boot. Particularly if we never _really_ found out who he was, just what it is that drives him.

I kept saying the Twins was dumb. -Breathing in space -X Wing going into hyperspace -Dude survives being on top of an X-Wing going into hyperspace.

There is speculation and a video done by Eckhartsladder that the B-wing seen in Akakiri was another stolen model by EC Henry

This ranking was pretty similar to mine, though I ranked Lop and Ocho quite a bit higher.

The duel was probably my number one, seconded being the ninth Jedi. The only problem I had with all of them was that they were clearly more interested in fishing for Disney to make their short into a Pilot for a series rather then make a sweet, short story. I feel like I know where the story would go with the ninth Jedi, but with the ronin, I want to know if he is some sort of good sith or something I couldn’t imagine.

I had a good laugh over your negative review about The Twins, since it's Trigger studio on nutshell. 🤣 "3 strikes -you're out!" LOL.

For me the top four are Lop and Ocho for the difficulty of being the voice of reason. The balance between the two extremes. The twins for reminding that along as you are alive you are free to choose destiny. The duel for its unique style. And Ninth Jedi for its message of unending hope and vigilance against evil and the lightsaber reveals ones true nature.

The Man with No Name was based on Yojimbo... Ronin was an homage to Kurosawa and material source for Star Wars not the other way around.

I shouted THANK YOU for every point you made on the twins. My friend said it was amazing and I was telling him how tf is he breathing in space

I've learned to just stop asking questions when it comes to studio tigger's work, take your brain off, and just have fun with what they give you. Also trust me when I say that they are pretty tame about this one. I'd totally expect a fight on the surface of a star using solar-system sized lightsaber while channeling the power of fucking blackholes or something.

I agree with you on the twins part. Like, they would have suffocated like the clones did during the Malevolence arc! (I have not seen the visuals yet though) Also the brother, would've become red paste on the front window of the freaking cockpit if he were to go into hyperspace while standing outside of the X-Wing. That's anime for you I suppose.

That's studio trigger for you. They are always at least a little over the top or very in this case which is why i absolutely loved The Twins. It's like they almost tried to make fun of it all but also made it high quality and beautiful. It's like they said "This is about two space wizards fighting over crystals to destroy the world so physics is the least worrying factor amiright :P" It's definitely not to be taken seriously. I say that as someone who grew up with SW (but isn't a hugee fan).

I love most of the ideas presented in these episodes. Most of these would be better served if they were given permission to make whole seasons. Make tweaks and little fixes to fit cannon of course. (I hate that the 9th Jedi has some of my favorite ideas for Star Wars but wouldn't be allowed because it wouldn't work in Disney cannon but Legends cannon)

I actually like this little deep dive into the unknown. Throw everything at the wall and see what sticks the best method they tried. It’s better than reinventing the wheel with a modern paint job.

For the Ninth Jedi I agree I liked the Twins, it seemed like an opposite version of the story of Luke and Leia .. note the cruiser, the two droids, the jet, the dark armor and the landing on the desert planet I'm too curious if it's going to have another season or series

So apart from my loving your script and sound effects used in the video, tbh i think the starship from “village bride” was more a Z-95 headhunter, i know Incom made the Arc, Z-95 and X-Wing and didn’t the Z-95 look like an x-wing with just 2 prongs instead of 4?

The Z-95 is an evolution from the ARC-170, and the Z-95 is the father of the X-wing.

I liked the first episode, it actually was pretty interesting excluding the unrealistic lightsaber that sith was using

That my friend was the Z-95 Headhunter she was using. It is the predecessor of the ARC-170

One weird thing about the show is that most of the episodes is that light sabers looked like katana’s (minus the twins and the duel)

@@theblasteffect4499 episodes like the village bride should have been more Star Wars over than battle droids Like you could make that episode lord of the rings but make the droids uru Kai and make the separatist generals war chieftains

The kylo ren avengers theme montage was my favourite part of this video and in TO-B1 why is there a T-16 sky hopper in space. it’s an airspeeder

My favorite was by far The Elder. The animation was classic but SO good in my opinion. I love how absolutely cold it was. I also loved how the Old Man didn’t classify as a Sith although he clearly used the Dark Side

Spinning umbrella doesn’t even make the duel episode unbelievable because this actual type of lightsaber has been shown already in some canon Star Wars material and is very versatile

In the ninth jedi the girls lightsaber goes from translucent to green throughout the fight!

Lop and Ocho hit home for me, it was about a torn family, trying to come back together.

I really liked the duell and the elder. It felt like a high republic story. The ninth jedi was my favourite. The twins was really unrealistic. Why can they breath in space even in hyperspace but the droid needs a space helmet?!
