Totally, these should have been mainline releases

I concur , you can never have enough stormtroopers.

He also has a new (slightly larger and better proportioned) helmet and longer neck post.

Would love one..for memories sake..Santa gave me that card in 78..it would be be a great inclusion to my Kenobi display...cheers Jason🍺🍺🍻

I'm jealous! Congrats to you for getting some and making a great review. I'm not sure which figure was harder to order, this or the Target exclusive (for U.S.) Morak Boba Fett. I was unable to order either, and who knows if they will ever make it to shelves. I do know that I will someday get a pristine carded sample. After so many years of collectors begging for a Stormtrooper on the classic ANH card, I can't believe Hasbro made it an exclusive. They could have easily quadrupled the run if it were a general release.

Walmart & Target Star Wars exclusives have always been a disaster. They must have incriminating dirt on Hasbro in order to get these deals. Impossible to find on pegs in the States OR online unless you hit up the scalpers. Thanks a lot, Hasbro! ;p(

@@kiwimanMAKMCSWF No problems. I'm still trying to figure out where people get their figures from without resorting to using overseas sites with their exorbitant shipping costs. In Wellington Farmers hardly stocks any VC figures, Warehouse generally lots of just a single figure, EB Games you need to pre-order, Toyworld is more expensive but erratic. Mighty Ape and Farmers get their stock straight from Hasbro but others like Freyrware and Toyco get theirs through a number of third party suppliers and hence the supply of exclusives are really erratic.

Just started my collection of Star Wars vintage I picked up about 25 figures any advice for a new collector.

If you decide to buy older out of stock figures via eBay I suggest you look up the ones that sell by "lots" rather than just the individual figures. You can get some bargains that way without too much risk of having double ups.
