I was kind of put off when I actually saw it in store. The box itself was so small compared with the previous playsets. Big difference with the actual paint you have applied.

They created a good base for those who like to customize but might not want to completely build something from scratch. 7/10 for the vanilla product, 10/10 for the improvements that blend it seamlessly into your city diorama keeping with the overall style and motif.

Did I miss how you did the door? For me that's been the trickiest part because even if you have 2 sets the doors don't line up. It worked out well incorporating it into the larger wall so you could offset the two door pieces.

Yeah that was definitely tricky, but I essentially created an asymmetrical frame with the foam that would allow the two door pieces to line up and be held in place. It worked out pretty well in the end, I definitely wished Hasbro had not made that so tricky! It would have been wise for them to make it line up so we could have an outdoor entrance, but at the same time they should have made the set have the exterior wall as well. ✨🤘😁🤘✨

Upon rewatch, the weathering technique used here I’m definitely going to use on the Boba Fett Throne room / Jabba’s Palace set when it arrives. The arches look too clean from the reviews I’ve seen on Only One Kenobi and Bossk’s Bounty channels

Great job, I have this TVC cantina and it defo needs some weathering added to it just to bring out the dents and marks in the sculpt. I love Hasbro but they need to execute there ideas better lol.

I agree, even a light wash could have added a bit more to this set. But it’s still a great starting point to work with. The bar and accessories are excellent, I’m very happy with those additions.

Neat set-up! I love all the bar-room bottles and containers of liquid in the background!

😃 Appreciate it!! Floor details are some of my favorite things to work on. I actually considered making a separate floor for the cantina, more like floor tiles, but opted to use the stone pattern from the town. I think the dark color contrasts well with the rest of the structure 😎✨

Wow that looks awesome great job. I love to finish product what's the upstairs balcony in the skylight. You do great work with the weathering and that is a good idea with the styrofoam

looks amazing! been putting off working on homemade diorama stuff as far as walls and bigger things of the sort. I love the cantina as well as you mentioned the accessories are definitely the bright spot in the set and being able to rearrange everything how you want is great as opposed to the tantive IV hallway that is built in a way that is in not able to be put together in only 1 way basically forcing you to get another if you want an enclosed hallway when they could have easily made it to have the second hallway wall fit across from the first for a short little enclosed section. this is far more friendly with all the free moving pieces but could have definitely benefitted from a better door and window design from a material standpoint the door only takes a small breath of air to slip out of the clip haha

Thank you! Accessories are the way! ✌️😎✌️ Definitely would have loved if Hasbro went with a sliding door similar to the Tantive IV! I think many of us would have been very into that. I love the Tantive IV set, I feel like it was a superb offering, although I do think that particular set could have benefited from a stacking feature. Allowing collectors to create multiple levels, but for the most part I think it was great start to the environment offerings.

@@ToysAreTheWay ya there are tons of ways they could easily bump up the value of these things with adding some type of detail to the back sides to let them act as standard walls for photography and dioramas. I also think it would be amazing if Hasbro just put generic wall bundles on pulse or something year round and accessory sets would be some great unique items for pulse to stock

Thank you, I really appreciate the support!! I can’t wait to be finish, seems like it never ends haha. So the table is specifically from one of the Joy Toy Mecha Depot sets. It just went back in stock on Big Bad Toy Store The chairs are from an eBay seller: reliving the past again.

That looks absolutely awesome, I bought two of the sets to build a diorama with moff Gideon and his troops outside, but was also disappointed by the lack of exterior detail. I've got some foam to remedy this, but haven't got round to it yet as life and other projects get in the way, but you've definitely inspired me to get on with it! @@ToysAreTheWay There's so much they could do other than a lightsaber that looks like it was made by sideshow in 2004. 2023 is 40th anniversary of ROTJ. Make a badass Jabba's Palace w/Rancor. Or and Endor Empire Base w/AT-AT. Then they would have to do a Vader's Imperial Shuttle. Or how about a Death Star Playset. The possibilities are endless. If I were the Higher ups at Hasbro I would fire or put the fear of god in the Star wars Haslab team. Get back to making Playsets and vehicles VC scale of course. The G.I.JOE HASLAB team crushed it w/The Skystriker. And the Tranformers team killed it with Unicron. The new Transformers Haslab is mediocre at best can't remember the name of it. And I got to say when a fan makes a self Transforming Gen1 Optimus Prime w/transforming trailer. Then gets a company to produce it in mass. That's the best toy Hasbro Pulse has for sale right now. If you have $750 for Optimus and $750 for the trailer. It does have all the lights, bells, and whistles. Including a remote controlled Roller.

@@ToysAreTheWay I forgot to say that Navarro Cantina you did was awesome. I would like to see you do a Tantive IV. I think the Bespin freezing chamber would be hard unless you buy legacy collection ugnaughts they come with the control panels for the freezing chamber. Among alot of other things you would have to get figure wise. That has got to be the worst playset they have done in a long time. I only got one cause I found it on clearance at Best Buy and it actually came mimb in the mail.

Wow! Yea a Endor Imperial Base would be a super cool Haslab! Which would be a fantastic opportunity to re-do or re-release the Imperial Shuttle in TVC. I think a Death Star playset is a very possible future play set, there's been lots of noise for that from the community. I agree hopefully we see more vehicles and playsets in TVC, it is the essence of worldbuiding.🙌👽🙌

So I been wanting to get into painting effects but I'm afraid to screw it up. I dont know the best paints and brushes to use. I built a cool cantina but I feel it needs a better paint job. Maybe you could do a how to video to show some technique

It actually didn’t need any primer. I just applied the weathering right onto the product and it worked perfectly. 🙂🙂

It's meant for a 3.75" figure, so I reckon so. That not far off, but it's of course best for a figure that it's properly scaled for. ✨😃✨
