Yeah because its an expensive piece of equipment and if they broke it, it risks delaying filming to get it fixed unless they have a back up but even then it would cost a ton of money to fix the broken one

@@Myrathosghost You clearly have no idea how filmmaking works then. there's no way that there could only be ONE such prop around if it matters so much to the whole production. spares are ALWAYS around for such key props, & by the way, despite its value to its production team, Grogu's just still a doll. whatever VFX needed to make him look even more convincing would definitely cost more than the doll itself.

The best thing for me was that Mark Hamil played Luke Skywalker again. They didn't just get a younger actor and just have Mark backstage. I admit, I cried when I saw that green light saber, the Luke Skywalker I know is back. I turned my back on Star Wars after the Last Jedi didn't even watched Rise of Skywalker. Luke has always been my favorite character, seeing how he was treated in Last Jedi, broke my heart. No way was I supporting SW after that.

Same here. For me Skywalker family is the root of Star Wars. The way Disney treated all of them in the sequels made me so angry. Nothing against the new characters or actors. It´s all on the greedy production company, that showed no respect for what has been created and the lore and just wanted to make big money. And what is so infuriating, it was not even money from the movies. They wanted new merch to sell in their entertainment parks. That is why they made the movies. To introduce lots of new thing to put them on sale. Nothing else.

The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett really impressed me with how much money, time and effort they were willing to spend on one episode each to de-age Mark Hamill 40 years when he was looking after Grogu. Not just for his face, but even for his voice, too. I think they also found a way to make his voice sound much younger than his current low-pitched, rougher voice I hear from when he plays Skips on Regular Show. If only the Obi-Wan Kenobi mini-series was not too cheap to make Hayden Christensen look and sound 20 years younger for all of those flashbacks in Part V, because they make it obvious how much older he looks. Even with Obi-Wan Kenobi's lower budget, it should not have been too expensive for the VFX department to do half the de-aging for Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor that was previously done twice to de-age Mark Hamill in The Mandalorian and Boba Fett.

Watching this made my heart so happy. The reason this show is great is that it’s made by people who love Star Wars like I do. I mean, they’re thinking about things like Luke’s fighting style. It’s not something you’re conscious of during the scenes, maybe, but it registers subconsciously, nonetheless, because they took the time to think about it. Seeing this makes me with to heaven that this team had made the sequel series. It makes me cry to think how much better they would have been. Like, 10,000 times better.

The way that character moves and uses force is peerless. I would be totally content without face-reveal because at that point we already saw a Legendary Jedi we haven't seen in 40 years.
