Ventress has had years of training under Jedi and Sith, while Savage had a few months of training under Count Dooku. And in "Darth Maul: Sith Hunters" it was stated that Ventress and Obi-Wan were outmatched by Maul and Savage. Despite the fact that Ventress has much more experience and training than Savage, she was still outmatched by Savage and couldn't beat him.

I mean, obviously "the dark side of the force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural", but the most logical reason is that he either just pees somewhere else, or he just simply doesn't gather waste inside his body somehow.

+99thJediWarrior Personally, I don't think anyone - Jedi or Sith - actually cares about lightsaber colors. I mean, it's just a weapon. As long as it cuts things, who gives a damn? There's no reason the Jedi would have anything particular against the color red. And, heck, Anakin/Vader would probably just have kept using his blue saber if Obi-Wan hadn't stolen it. (Heck, this show even revealed that Jedi don't even get to choose their own saber colors, because the crystals look the same either way and they don't see the blade until they've finished their saber.) I've always viewed it as a thematic abstraction, and something that makes it easier to tell the good guys apart from the bad guys, not something we are supposed to treat as actually important in context. This would probably have been clearer if they had gone with the original plan, where there were only blue sabers for the Jedi and red sabers for the Sith.

+RelativelyBest i can't remember exactly how it went since it's been a while since i've read anything about it but i'm pretty sure the reason that jedi have blue/green etc is because they use actual crystals found on a certain planet i forgot the name of and since sith can't go to the same planet to get a crystal for their lightsaber they use a synthetic crystal for their lightsaber which is red they considered the red color a form of superiority apparently as well i know that this isn't entirely right but i know its partially accurate ^_^

2:06 - 2:40 You do realize this is perhaps the ONLY time that Obi-Wan ever TRULY gives in to his anger. Even though it’s only for a few moments, it makes his technique sloppy and results in him being beaten. We always see Obi-Wan as level-headed, for the most part, so this was a shocking scene.

That actually makes a lot of sense. If everything is getting sucked out into space, the doorway that everything is getting pulled towards would be the easiest place to reach, thus making it the best spot to put a control to activate the force field.

You can really tell Ventress isn't used to not using Jar'Kai and Obi Wan isn't used to using a curved hilt saber

You can really tell that Ventress isn't used to one-sword-fighting-style. xD

Seeing kenobi with a red saber was cool

I love how Obi Wan even has a sense of preference, taking whatever chance he has to use his blue lightsaber and getting rid of Ventress' red one

Hahaha he even taught it to Luke it seems. They’ve never lost when using the high ground. Vader killed Obi-wan when they were on flat ground. But in Luke’s final battle against Vader he got to the high ground. Vader remembered that tactic real quick and got his butt back down but still ended up losing. If you can get to the high ground in the fight you keep your limbs and live. Point being ... the high ground makes you invincible.😂😂😂

This ended up being a learning experience for Obi-Wan, in the next season, when Savage killed Adi Gallia, Obi-Wan actually managed to work through the loss and bodied both Savage and Maul.

They definitely do care about eachother. Savage searched the galaxy for Maul, and was the only person he was ever truly loyal to. Maul also showed how much he cared for his brother whenever he was in danger. You can tell in the way be says Savage after Obi Wan cuts his arm off on Felucia; or when Sidious kills him on Mandolore.

It’s not true to say Maul and Savage didn’t care about each other. During one of their duels with Kenobi, Maul had an opening to strike Kenobi and he chose to save Savage’s life instead.

It’s a shame we didn’t get to see more interaction between Ventress and Maul since they’re both such great TCW villains and are both connected to mother Talzin

I just love how Obi-Wan is following the Art of War and taunting in Front of Maul on the Highground

I like how Obi-Wan followed proper lightsaber safety and deactivated the lightsaber before throwing it

The auditory lions roar after Maul dives over Savage, lunging at Asajj, fucking throws me off guard every time

“i like the new legs, they make you taller” translation: “jesus christ he has the high ground”

one of the best but unexpected match ups in the entire series

Considering Ventress and Obi Wan had never really fought side by side before, they were surprising well coordinated during this fight.

I’ve always found these alliances to be rather interesting. Not necessarily always a villain defecting to the cause of the heroes, but these temporary, short-term alliances give more character to the characters, it shows that they’re not all 100% fighting for the same ultimate outcome, and they have their own motives which may drive them to unlikely partners.

Honestly Obi Wan probably had a lot to think about and take away from this fight, we know he’s incredibly devoted to the Jedi Order and is considered in nearly every way to be the perfect Jedi Knight. He recognized his imbalance in this fight and probably spent a long time afterwards meditating and sealing the scars that Maul had just reopened, since every other fight he has with Maul he completely outclasses him. It’s cool to see him grow.

Maul’s scream at 3:06 could possibly be a sith scream, similar to what Palpatine does in RotS

I love seeing Kenobi show his dark side, it's a shame though that he fights like an idiot in the clone wars when he taps into his dark side.

@Sup Bro I agree. He's not used to going on the offensive but Maul burned his fuse out and Kenobi lost his coop causing him to be more aggressive.

How long was Ventress waiting to slap Kenobi?

I love throughout the series ventress and obi wan has this sibling fighting eachother relationship

when maul talked about qui gon, obi wan had two choices. Let the anger he feels about what happened to his master control him and give the control to his dark side inner self or fight against it mentally at the same time he fights against maul physically. If that's the correct logic according to the lore, this must've been weakening him. On the opposite side, if it was Anakain he would probably let his anger grow and get more powerful using it.

Lightsabers in close quarters is always the most intense. You have to imagine their reflexes and senses would have to be so damn precise to not be sliced to pieces either on accident or on purpose.

The banter between Obi Wan and Ventress is great.

Through action,a man becomes a hero. Through death,a hero becomes a legend. Through time,a legend becomes a Myth. And by learning from the Myth,a man takes action.

If ventress, maul, savage , mother Talzin and Ahzoka teamed up maybe they could’ve stopped sidious. Too bad they didn’t realise his plans until too late.

Maul and talzin did team up against sidious, but they were outnumbered as dooku and grievous where there as well

This is one of two of my favorite Obi Wan scenes. Scenes that make him feel more relatable, scenes that make us understand that Anakin wasn’t weak willed- anger and romantic love were battles all jedi fought. Of course I mean the part in this battle where Obi’s anger gets the best of him, but the other is when he confesses to Satine

Notice how at 1:33 Obi-wan probably could have killed Maul. But I choose to think that since he was using a Sith lightsaber he just disarmed him instead.

3:03 probably the most elegant move from Ventress

With Ventress' comeback, I really enjoy re-watching these episodes of her especially this one where she worked with Obi-Wan

Maul should have told Obi Wan “Come now, didn’t your master teach you to let Qui Gons be bygones?” with a shit eating grin that would make Jetstream Sam look subtle

Man I love Ventress whole character arc from being a sith into an anti hero who wants to destroy Dooku. Seeing her and Obi Wan work together was so cool.

I forgot how cool of a character Ventress was. Wish she had been around for longer, she could've been an amazing example of a non-dark or light aligned force user. Hell, Merrin is probably a continuation of that same idea. People who use the force in a nonstandard way are so interesting. Sith and Jedi are both blinded by their strict adherence to standards. You can straight up conjure weapons(or any physical object you can think of) and see into the future with the force.
