Really shows that the rebellion is better off without such hero wannabes.

I probably saw the death scenes from the tie fighter canyon run 1000 times when I was a kid.

When you got so used to dying in this game that you didn’t mind dying on your 20th try just to see a new death FMV. If anything, you knew you were making progress in a level when you unlocked a new death scene

4:49 That really ought to have been "Did you hear something?" "it's probably just some rocks or something." "On a space station?"

This deserves way more praise than it has received.

5:37 Was the last death you could 'get', because the level ended just as you got through that turbine that you crashed into. If you saw that cutscene, you were PISSED OFF.

i remember this game so long ago. i still get a kick out of the stormtroopers on the mining tunnels. "Did you hear something?" "Nah, Probably just some loose rock or something."

i always felt like that was such a cute game over ending.

Lost the *rookie?* He blew up the death star in the last game! Why do they still call him a rookie?

I think after level 11 ("Aboard the Terror") and level 12 "The Sewers" after Ru Murleen mourns for Rookie One, the stormtroopers would captured her and bring her to Darth Vader. Darth Vader would say to her in her cell, "Now we will discuss the position of the secret Rebel's base." as he lets out the interrogation droid.

I hated those Stormtroopers...

I failed this so much, especially the flight sequences. At least they were entertaining to watch. Don’t think I ever beat these. It was a rental

Funny how all the raging battles are instantly forgotten during a lot of the game over sequences (looking directly at you Storm Troopers).

i would say the stromtroopers might not have been aware of what was happening in level 2 granted the alarm was going off but maybe they were not aware rookie one had esscaped into the mining tunnels and as for level 13 i feel like the stromtroopers might not have been aware of the stolen tie fighter running around the ship.

Anyone notice a problem with 4:19? He hit the ground on the front but in the game over he's on his back. Anywho, thanks for taking the time and effort to put this up

I always thought that one stormtrooper at :55 said "little frog", not "loose rock"...guess I should have put the subtitles on.

I love the « what the- » just before the phantom blows up

Oh Good ol' times, played that Game countless times in 96/97 and died A LOT before I got the hang of it... the TIE-Training Mission and the Speederbike-Chase in the Jungle were especially difficult. Great Graphics for that time BTW, outclassed even some of the Cutscene-Graphics of much later SW-Games such as 'Rebel Alliance' or 'Rebellion'

Very nicely made.

Darth Vaders fleet at the end is the best!

Those fail/game over scenes are non-canon, the only canon scene is the final chapter completed plus ending scene.
