Ойындар

In this Star Wars Outlaws new gameplay news update we breakdown the open world gameplay for Star Wars Outlaws and how it will define the legacy of this game unlike other recent Star Wars games and AAA games in general (like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2). Last video, we discussed a brand new interview with Julian Gerighty that provided us with a ton of new Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay, reputation, and story details! Recently, we did a breakdown & walkthrough of brand new early access Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay. This Star Wars Outlaws gameplay gave us a great look at blaster combat, stealth, space combat, open world exploration, Kijimi, and main story details!
Last weekend, we broke down the Star Wars Outlaws gameplay trailer that was released at the Summer Game Fest. This trailer gave us a great look at Star Wars Outlaws open world gameplay, planets, and even confirmed that Lando Calrissian will be in the game! Recently, we had a Star Wars Outlaws news update video where we broke down the new gameplay that was revealed by NVIDIA for Star Wars Outlaws. This footage gave us a brand new look at Star Wars Outlaws and some features that will be available in the game thanks to NVIDIA such as DLSS 3.5.
In a recent video, we broke down the DLC & Pre Order bonus details that were revealed via GameStop, Amazon, and Target. We have also broken down new Star Wars Outlaws gameplay details about the reputation system, crime syndicates, the Empire, the wanted system, and more! We also broke down new Star Wars Outlaws space open world gameplay and combat details from a new Game Informer interview with Star Outlaws developers.

This Star Wars Outlaws trailer confirmed that Crimson Dawn and Zerek Besh will be in the game! We also learned a ton of new Star Wars Outlaws story, gameplay, and open world details. We learn that Lady Qi’ra from Crimson Dawn will be featured in this game!
Ubisoft Forward gave us a great look at new Star Wars Outlaws gameplay details! We also know now that the Star Wars Outlaws release date is August 30th and will feature a standard edition, gold edition, and ultimate edition. There will be a Star Wars Outlaws season pass that will feature story DLC and cosmetic DLC! We have broke down all of the space gameplay as well as the combat and customization details that we know about space for Star Wars Outlaws.
Star Wars Outlaws is the upcoming Ubisoft Star Wars Open World game made by Massive Entertainment. The Star Wars Outlaws release date is currently set for August 30, 2024 on PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. The game is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi where players will become Kay Vess, a clever scoundrel in the galactic underworld. The article from Star Wars states that the Star Wars Outlaws story will feature Kay “looking to attempt one of the biggest heists the Outer Rim has ever seen, all in an effort to start an new life”. Although Star Wars Outlaws is a new & original single player story with exciting new characters, we still got some familiar Star Wars planets & characters in the new trailer. This includes: Han Solo frozen in carbonite, Jabba the Hutt, Crimson Dawn, Pyke Syndicate, Canto Bight, Cantonica (The Last Jedi), Tatooine, & Kijimi (The Rise of Skywalker).
Needless to say we are INCREDIBLY excited for this game and can’t wait for more Star Wars Outlaws gameplay, trailers, story details, and news updates to breakdown and analyze on the channel! We have partnered with Ubisoft to produce this content.

They’ve built such a vast amount of worlds and have done it accurately - it would be a waste to not make it rich and immersive like rdr2. A living world can bring a lot more play time than the estimated 30hr story.

RDR2 is the golden standard in terms of being a dynamic living breathing open world with tons of meaningful and entertaining side stories and activities. Dont get your hopes up that Outlaws can reach that level. Still looking forward to playing it on 27th August for 18 euros on Ubisoft+ (will cancel subscription so I wont forget and accidentally give Ubi another 18 euros in September)

@@OfficialNinjaNoodle obviously, that’s why I said ‘like rdr2’ as in that type of aspiration. No one has matched it-not expecting ubi to do it. But the director has referenced the open world as the ‘living world’ and that it exists without the player, so we’ll see how true that is. I’m just buying the game-the maps / space travel are worth it for me. They’re banking on people forgetting to cancel. If the open world is good you may be in for 2-3 months with Ubi.

I love her look as she literally looks like the baby of Ellen Ripley and Han Solo, like to a ridiculous extent bordering on blatant homage. As for her personality though it's glaring, she seems gritty and non-cringe in cinematic scenes which is good then in more ambient scenes/gameplay she's full Disney cheese dialogue which is annoying as hell, she seems to slide back and forth.

Of course the story will be important, but this feels like the type of game that will immerse you into it, making us feel like a part of the universe first and foremost. The thing that made games like GTA and Red Dead 2 so successful is because it made you feel like a criminal or an outlaw in the old west or LS. Being able to see the Star Wars through the eyes of a scoundrel making their way through planets that are awesome lore wise and ughhhhh I just can’t freaking wait. I don’t care if it is or isn’t Gta in space, just seeing the universe will be awesome😅

I don't know about anybody else but I am looking forward to seeing what they have done regarding the crime syndicate factions and your reputation with those factions. I do feel games need a good story but cannot be great open world games on the story alone meaning the open world element is just as important as the story. Although the main story will be linear the open world itself and the way it reacts to the player will change depending on the actions you take and the factions you choose to align yourself with within the open world making the world feel more alive and responsive to the player

It's important to remember GTA V had no support and got no additions and that was a waste, GTA Online did and that is a live service multiplayer game. Outlaws season pass promises 2 narrative expansions so we'll see more on that end. I do tend to value the open world, side quest, activities, more then the core story of a game like this. For me exploring and just getting to be in the world, that virtual tourism feel, is a major draw. It took me hundred plus hours to finish games like Skyrim, Yakuza 0, Like a Dragon Isshin, Dragon Age Inquisition, AC Origins, AC Odyssey, AC Valhalla and more as I just enjoyed dicking around in their worlds before I forced myself to finish the stories just to say I finished the games. That isn't to say the story isn't important, but if it's sub par, like Saints Row 2022, the world can still keep the game fun, a dead and boring world like in Ghost of Tsushima I just want to finish the story and be done with the game, and that's just not as fun for me.

Great point! It is kinda crazy that we never got story expansions to GTAV like we did for GTAIV… they really went all in on the live service model, which really left the story aspect of the game behind. There’s no sign that Outlaws will do that at this point, but would be interested to see if there is any push to supporting this game as a franchise and shifting to an online/live service model like so many studios have been doing (for better or worse).

Of course, story is really important, but once you finish it, it's over, you know what happens and even if there's ''new game +'' it's still the same story. I'd prefer a well-crafted open world where I can do stuff repeatedly, the outcome of which is unpredictable. KOTOR 1 and 2 are my favourite Star Wars games because of their story, but at the same time I spent a lot of time playing pazaak. But truly being a single player game, story should be a given. And its possible that kays story has been in the works for quite some time before the game development even started. Anyway i feel thats a strong possibility. If they had got the story planed out before the game idea was pitched than that would have allowed the dev team to work solely on graphics and our open world we desire for so much. The story in Avatar Frontier of Pandora, Massive’s most recent game, was very bland and weak but the open world plus the beautiful graphics made up for the bad story. I’m expecting Star Wars Outlaws to be similar but I do hope they put in a little more effort into the story itself while improving upon their amazing open world creation skills.

We have books and movies to experience stories. Movie is a story in a most concentrated form. Videogame cannot even come close to the movie in storytelling. But videogame has its unique ability to immerse you to the fictional world. So, the main goal for videogame should be its strengths. Videogame should immerse you to the big living and breathing world. This world should not spin around you. It should exist on its own. It should contain as less scripted scenes as possible.

Why not have good story AND a good open world? It's not as if we can't have both, balance is a matter concerning the overall experience. Personally, I feel the OPEN WORLD should itself be the story you craft while playing; sometimes the main story gets irritating and you can almost see the writers patting themselves on the back for intervening and messing with your open world experience.

The story should be great in all games and longer than 20 hours. See if the activities and stories plus gear is great people wouldn't mind a longer game but no one wants repetitive stuff that never changes and if it's a game with RPG style then our decisions and side quests should truly change the world and affect the main quest lines.

Lol... Nah, I play purely for the gameplay. Setting and atmosphere is the closest to story that matters to me. Gameplay is king, letting me live in star wars universe like I was the character and the 'story' forms based on who I meet and all my choices that form and create the events of a story. That is what differentiates games from movies to me. They should have cutscenes and mini bits of story progressions spread through out the game, but only experienced if your character does the perquisites to make it happen. Not just having a premade specific linear story, but rather many story elements that can become a unique whole for your character. Need more games doing that instead and I may care about that more.

It costs more time and money to make less linear games. It's not feasible for many studios and it will never be the focus of studios like Ubisoft as they want to rush their games out as soon as possible to make the money faster. I don't mind a linear story so long as it's written well. (I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a ubisoft story though, so fingers crossed for outlaws 🤞) It's seems you may be more of an RPG fan.

@@user-it9fo1ms7n Not necessarily. Something like this you take all that money for story dev and put it into gameplay, or half and half with small story segments that can be experienced depending on your gameplay and the rest into gameplay systems. Not to mention, you don't need to have this absolute perfect high end graphics. Close is good enough if gameplay is great. I have seen indies do shit like this far better than the attempts of AAA devs, and they do it for a fraction of the cost... It is literally just poor management/game design choices. Difficult to explain though because it is the type of thing where I would need to go into a case by case to explain. Broadly though, I can say I have seen them come so close, but just a few better choices that don't even take all that extra content creation would have drastically improved the games. I do minor indie work myself and suck, but I can even design many of these systems in a reasonable time frame. I have been increasingly surprised how easy it is to pull off gameplay systems in modern engines. Imagine what a professional could do. Graphical content is probably the biggest cost though, but that can be managed strategically with where you make it count. They don't need to though, they are too big to truly fail except on the greatest of flops... May as well choose the laziest methods of just good enough that still let them spread their agendas now days.

The thing is though Gta San Andreas to me is the standard all open worlds should strive to beat or the game shouldn't be made. Rockstar messed up when they didn't let us get big or stay small and improve on a survival type mode with the food and improve the combat to something like or better than sleeping dogs and when they took away the RPG mechanic getting better with weapons from San Andreas in GTA 4 and improving on it that was a big mistake otherwise Gta 4 would've been perfect. Another thing is starfield sucks and Ubisoft has a chance here to delay this game make it everything it was supposed to be and better in the star wars universe. and I'd do it if I were them. They could win over a lot of Bethesda fans and take that same attitude into the development of ac shadows and all their future open worlds.
