Nah, KOTOR 2 does have some deep interesting dialogues but 1 is honestly very basic and simplistic. Almost childishly so. I just finished a rerun of both and it's so noticeable now that I'm not 12 years old anymore lol. 1 is very black and white good and evil in pretty much all the dialogue. Even Jolee Bindo who's supposed to be the "gray Jedi" isn't all that gray. And some of the cartoonish evil stuff you can say/do as the PC is laughable too. KOTOR 2 is much better written in those areas. The evil has more subtlety. And the good is less clear.

Atton has been my favorite Star Wars characters since he appeared at Peragus, I mean, THAT is an interesting character ! Everything about him is cool: his story, his character and even his jokes ! I mean... "And then I come saying suitably heroic" I couldn't stop laughing, this is genius ! And he is good looking (I'm not talking about the graphism quality, if it was better, Atton would be the biggest sexy beast of all time). Best Character Award goes to him, by me

Atton with his high ass dexterity makes him insane and fun to build

:D only just realised that Greg Ellis (Commander Cullen of All three Dragon Age games) voices Mical.

I feel like a horrible person every time, but since I got TSLRCM, I always let this happen, even if I could beat Sion with Atton. The lines in this ending are beautiful, basically this is the only storyline, where he actually confesses his love for the Exile. Also, his story feels sad, but complete this way - he thought of himself as a horrible person, then as a no-one, but in this ending he proves with his sacrifice, that he is someone, and as a good person, as a Jedi. Exile couldn't take him with her in the end, and I feel that for Atton it would have been a really big blow anyway, losing the person, who guided him back to the light.

The alternative ending where Atton lives is disappointing to say the least. He tries to keep up the scoundrel attitude when you're probably a short time away from leaving him to follow Revan into the unknown regions, yet he has to be tortured within an inch of his life and mortally wounded to deliver his best line. Such is the way of people; To reveal who they are in their dying moments.

@@valentinewiggin9152 I believe the exile's team, with the exception of Bao-Dur, Mandalore and the droids, rebuilt the Jedi order, and with that strengthening the republic. Atton survived, which, unfortunately, means he probably never got to properly convey his character to the exile the way he did with his death. He likely never knew the fate of her.

For some reason it’s considered blasphemous in some Forums to say that Atton’s death is the best outcome, i mean ignoring the fact that Sion is WAY stronger him surviving feels like a shoehorned plot armor which kinda contradicts the tone of the story, his sacrifice is much more fitting than him surviving, I love his character same way I loved Arthur Morgan from RDR, their sacrifice adds a lot to their story contrary to what people think.

@@user-rk2xi7iw9k I understand the emotional potency of this scene, but I love Atton as a character and it just feels wrong that after all he went through he died in the very place that ruined everything for everyone in the game. He never had the chance at happiness. He was redeemed in this scene, but the others got their chance at growth and didn't need to die. Atton deserved more. In regards to the strength part, Atton is a trained jedi killer after all. And Sion is a brute who lashes out at everything. I don't think there's much evidence in-game that he's much of a strategist. Atton most likely could have found a way to exploit Sion enough to get the drop on him before getting the chance to flee.

I only recently saw this. Atton is one of my favorite party members and was sad to see this. Sucks it got cut, but so glad the content mod put it back.

Statement: Your words make no sense, meatbag. Explanation: SWTOR and KOTOR are not the same game, if that's what you're implying. KOTOR II is not "some sort of sequel", it _is_ a sequel. It is not a "second version" of the first game. It is simply the second game in the series, hence the name "Knights of the Old Republic II".

Atton is such a great character. All the characters in KOTOR 1 and 2 are superb. I couldn’t name a SINGLE characters name from those god awful Disney Star Wars movies, but I know every characters name in both KOTOR games because of how memorable they are

Holy fuck that's actually super sad, even when I know Atton's past, this still was deeper than anything else he said.

Got this ending in my last game with my full darkside Sith Marauder. I can only imagine all the rage and dark side emotions she would have after this. Atton was my favorite teammate too.

lol @ mira and the energy shield and the buggy animation, also why didn't they just attack at the same time. I'm not saying they would win, but they definitely would have a better chance. Also Atton's ''fight'' vs sion is hilarious

Man I only beat the game for the first time around two days ago and thought the ending where Kreia dies willingly and tells the future was the only one. I'm shocked and happy theres more ways for it to end, as I was pretty disappointed with how it ended in my run.

Wow, when I first played this game, I had lost against Sion when I played as Atton, I was like no I wanna beat him, so I reloaded my save and beat him. I didn’t know this is what happened if you don’t beat Sion, I’m so glad I reloaded.

Pisses me off that in both of my playthroughs the malachor section was glitched, both times I fight Hanharr and activate the mass shadow generator and the end cutscenes glitch and end prematurely, so I never get to see what happens to my companions it just goes straight back to the Exile

This would be one of the greatest endings in gaming if they had time to put it all together and if the dialogue wasn't so choppy and weird.

That kills me every time. WHY IS IT MY FAV CHARACTERS ALWAYS DIEEE

If KOTOR 1 & 2 ever saw a screen, whether movie(s) or (preferably) Netflix, we will wonder if Atton actually dies or not

Hilariously poor voice acting aside (this was cut content, after all) this was pretty touching. If the voice acting was better, that would of been a unique ending.

+Jason Wagner I don't know.....a while back I had some pretty severe abdominal pain which I had to endure for hours. Not like child-birth pain (nobody can talk through that) but a constant literally-hurt-to-talk pain and my voice and speech patterns were pretty similar. The script is pretty bad though.

kotor had a better story but everything else goes to kotor 2 better characters Atton especially, the exception is Jolee, Jolee was awesome too. Better gameplay Better character development Better setting/feel And the ability to influence your companions... although i wish they would have made it more like Jade Empire where the characters alignment actually impacts their dialogue and views. Lastly and most importantly It had Atton, who is in my top 3 favorite characters ever

Dang I love this game so much. By the way, if you romance Atton, does he automatically die at this part or...? I just started a light-side female play through and was curious of this.

Only the vanilla game is canon in the Legends continuity. But even before Legends Star Wars had pocket continuities called Infinities (like What If...? but without the multiverse) and I consider my male / Dark Side / TSLRCM playthrough to take place in one of those.

Pickles og. You have to have high influence with them to make them Jedi. Each one likes different things. I was able to convert all of them including Bao Dur in my latest play though. Also, this scene comes from a restored content mod, so it goes without saying that you must have the mod downloaded in order to trigger this scene

there no need to mod for cheats, just use cheat engine upgrade your stats at the beginning.

How do you get your companions to fight Kreia? I've played it three times and these ungrateful a-holes never show up!😁

Winston Fredricks Does it work for male characters as well? Or only female Exiles? I just did a play through with the TSLRCM 1.8.3 and didn't have anything like that happen.

llamaMonstA its been 3 months but yes. *spoilers* it does work with male characters because near the end if visas survives and you get more influence with her than brianna as a dark side player then they fight to the death.

+nate hazel I hate to be that girl, but I agree. Atton has two modes: Moody teenager and bloody psychopath. His backstory (what he did during the Civil War) was seriously messed up. Sure the Exile did some pretty bad crap during the Mandalorian Wars but Atton sought out individual Jedi and then tortured them to death....slowly.

Atton died the way he lived. A complete rip off of a character from the past game

Wow, almost everything on Malachor in the restored content is pretty bad, voice acting being one of the more visible black spots. It actually makes me kind of glad that it was cut from the "finished" product.

Kotor 2 is nothing compared to kotor 1. Storylane sooo much better....

i am prepared for thumbs down but i thought the voice acting in this game was really awful.
