Yeah Boba Fett was my favorite "caracter" I have a little action figure of him on my key chain and now always when I look at it I just think "Wow holly shit Disney how could you mess this up so much that my favorite caracter is now almost at the bottom of my list" even CW a show that isn't centered around him and shows his life when he was a kid was so much better. If you love Boba you will nothing but embarassed after watching this show. I don't know if watched and liked the Mandalorien show but if you did you just have to know Baby yoda is back and he got a shitty fan service ship that in no way he could transport bounty with. The only things you get out of this show is good and funny content from Robot chicken or other content creators, people saying they love the show and when you argue against them they critique your writing maybe you forgo the t or maybe write a verb wrong and if you acctuly whatched the show you can make up a story in your in 5 minutes alone with better caracter a better story and better placed jokes if any. To be fair, we know machine parts are a dime-a-dozen there. Anakin rebuilt an entire droid and the constructed a functional pod-racer with a slave'd budget (ie, nothing), Luke maintained a Sandhopper, etc. This isn't an excuse for them, because they failed to effectively communicate that. It's their worldbuilding, even if it's on top of Lucas', so the fact they never bothered to explain "hey, cyberneticas are cheap as shit" is on them. And that's the problem: They never explain SHIT about the world. Lucas did, and when SW became too large for him, he opened up the EU so others could help. Maybe they’re a casual fan for the past few years or something, some writer bouncing between projects, it’s very easy to see. But if they just got some true Star Wars nerds together they could create magic again so easily, idk why they don’t exclusively use those people. After the Sequels pretty much completely destroyed the entirely of the first six films and their overaching story I just generally feel Star Wars has nothing now to offer. All the heroes we cared about turned out to become washed up old failures and everything they fought for turned out to be all for nothing and by the end of the Episode IX the entire Skywalker bloodline is now completely wiped out, the legacy is finished and we're left with a universe filled with characters nobody likes or cares for. It's more confusing as to why Disney is even bothering making shows and shit about all the pre Episode VII stuff when as already explained none of it matters cause the new movies just told us nothing gets accomplished in the long run. So really what's even the damn point? Why should I care or be excited about an Obi-Wan Kenobi show when Obi-Wan's character no longer matters. His purpose was to train both Anakin and Luke but Anakin failed to kill Palpatine and Luke just gives up on trying to restore the Jedi and becomes a grumpy cyincal old man waiting to die. Everything has been retconned to make Rey, a character with no personality, character arc, struggle or really anything the Saga's true saviour. The Star Wars universe now just feels completely hollow and empty now with little to nothing to get invested or interested in.

You know, a role that demands someone of less-than-stellar moral fiber and probably wouldn’t fit their inane demands that things must stay family-friendly. Why not just let him be a villain in the background of the Mandalorian? Especially since Din basically fills the role of “Boba Fett, but a good guy” already. When he learn Jedi stuff after Empire Strike back during his 3 year training, He should have at least thought about it, especially in the last year. Or how about after Return of the Jedi, He had 6 years. He should have decided for himself what he kept. What he left. He had no reasons to force Grogu to chose one. The lightsaber or the armor. For Geogus race, learning the force is a way of life. Its part of your identity. If he had the ccapability to use it, but never trained it and perfected it, it would do him wrong, even if its just shame and guilt and feeling less then compared to others of his race. Through his teaching, you would have learned Humility, self control, patience, wisdom, get you in shape and all the advantage that brings, a clear mind and with Lukes specific knowledge and style, learn self confidence, to love yourself, to form attachement, yet how to move on. And to be kind. To hope. Emotional maturity. Even without the self defence capability and the power to do good and help other, He would have been the best Groggu he could become. And to force such a life changing choice on a child? On a timer? He was ready to teach him on that planet untill he literally died of old age. To restart a new Jedi order. Yet he didn't take the time to talk to ashoka. To think about Groggu? And both of them, who should have near otherwordlt wisdom never thought od that?

I think the biggest issue with the Boba Fett show wasn't that he came back, or didn't die. Thats something I would be willing to accept if they did something with him. But he is suddenly a good guy without explanation who previously was depicted as ruthless, calculating, someone who had the respect of Vader. A guy who is passive, incompetent after being depicted as intelligent enough to catch Han Solo and look through his trick. Someone who can't seem to be able to win a fight with his gear, after handling some sand creature with his bare hands chained, while being half dead from lack of food, sleep and water. Someone who claims he wants respect, but never demands it, never punishes people for disrespecting him. This character was SO inconsistent with his previous character and even was inconsistent during the show. He makes little to no sense in this show even if you only know him from the few scenes in the movies. If you go into the clone wars series or the EU, it gets even worse. Funny enough, he is even inconsistent with his own future IN the Disney era. We see him in the show while being with the sand people, then see him in the older Mandalorian series when he gets his armor back THREATENING TO KILL GROGU. So he went from badass ruthless killer and bounty hunter, to a harmless incompetent baby, to be a ruthless killer in some scenes in the Mandalorian back to a harmless incompetent passive guy after getting his armor. How can you be this incompetent as a writer, it is actually funny. Everything else that doesn't add up for me are just the cherry on top. The biggest issue is Boba. But just a few examples: Tatooine was always depicted as a dead end, a poor planet, where people go to hide since it is so barren and there is so little going on that not even the empire was interested. But suddenly, there is some establishment that looks very fancy - how did that get there? there would have been no people with enough money to sustain it, no customer base, did they just snap into existence? How was someone on the planet who specialices in changing people into cyborgs basically, on a planet where there would be no technology, no parts and again: no customer base because that would be expensive as shit, even in this futuristic universe. How do people that have NO job pay for their enhancements? Or their Italian Vespers. Why do they look so new, and how come no one stole them, we are talking about a city on Tatooine where the biggest filth in the galaxy roam. Why would a cartel sell super expensive drugs on a planet that again would have had NO paying customers for this expensive shit. If they did some of the things on Nar Shadaa for example, that would at least make some sense. But it is Tatooine for crying out loud. If you stray away so far from the established universe, you better explain it in a good way. But it seems they just changed Boba so he is a heroic protagonist, where he should have been a ruthless guy. He isn't even an anti hero because he never did things for the greater good, but only for his own gains. Everyone must be child friendly or something. They also put in these cyborg characters propably because they thought the idea is cool, the characters would be cool and badass, same with their strange vespers, but it just doesn't fit Star Wars or Tatooine. It makes NO sense at all. And honestly, I am super afraid what they do with Kenobi. I was pissed at the Boba Fett show and I "only" like the character. Kenobi is one of the greatest characters not only in Star Wars but in general, and I already think they will fuck him up badly. If they do, I think they will lose another BIG chunk of the fanbase. In both cases you have good or even great actors who can turn in a good performance with the right direction and writing behind it. One guy we already know got fucked over (just like most characters in the new star wars movies where written like garbage, what can an actor do with that little and that bad material), the other... well let's just say just as Boba was second fiddle to Fennek, I expect Kenobi to not be about him, and show a useless broken man instead of the changing Jedi he should be during this time period. And they propably focus on the "strong female Sith Inquisitor" instead or something no fan really wants to see.

As a former slave, he is nice to people who pretty much enslave him, without any real reason. Heck, he is passive, dumb, incompetent, has no plans, lets other talk over him constantly. Is there any explanation how an intimidating killer, who was smart enough to catch Han Solo suddenly becomes so incompetent? And it is blatant that he got plot armor, in a melee fight vs a wookiee he would have been torn to shreds. As would have been the others in the room. You also have to remember that he is super nice to the sand people which isn`t explained, but then when he wanted his armor back in the mandalorian show (because thats how the timeline would work) he threatens to kill Grogu to get his armor. Why would he do that? It simply doesn`t add up. Nothing makes sense. I as a fan want consistent content. Something that makes sense. If you change a character and it is well established and shown, thats okay. But if you throw around so much stuff without explaining anything, that just doesn`t make any sense. He lost to some people with a shield and sticks in a fight. The best bounty hunter, who went head to head with Jedi lost to normal humans who had sticks and shields.

To me it sounds like they’re sprinkling random seeds of plot, then they’ll harvest whatever lore grows from the cheap plants to then mix into a big future installment, it’ll seem like journey that was built up to.

The Book of Boba Fett was just a waste of time that honestly makes me upset. Sure, Boba Fett wasn't all that great in the OT because of how little we saw him and how little he even talked... but that's the image we all fell in love with when we saw Boba Fett. A menacingly stoic bounty hunter that sadly didn't exactly amount to much in Return of the Jedi, but regardless, that image, that aura, that energy it was ALL there. They translated this well in the comics, both in the Canon and Legends continuity. Did Boba Fett need to be 100% cold and badass in his show? No. He didn't. But was he at all? I would argue.... he hardly was! For a character like Boba you're going to *have* to show him being this cold and menacing person because that's what Boba Fett is about. He's no hero. He's no villain. He's a man who knows how to fight, knows when not to, but shows enough that he absolutely would. As for the show itself? Almost nothing feels earned. Boba Fett respects the Tusken Tribe? Cool, nice concept... but why? The FIRST thing they do is beat him, leave him to die, force him into working in the sand for what we can assume is hours on end to get water. Why did he grow attached to them at all? They've shown no concern for the Rodian they lost, if he had died there they wouldn't have cared either I'd reckon. Fennec assassinates all the biggest Mob bosses? Okay, but... why wasn't Boba at least a part of that? Their feud was with HIM, surely he should've had a hand in it at the very least? Hell, we didn't even know why exactly they all went against Boba, and hell, the Mayor showed up a few times and did fuck all throughout. Then Fennec waltzes in to their commune that had next to no security and just eviscerates them all. If it was that easy why didn't they just... do it earlier? Cad Bane vs Boba Fett. People need to stop overhyping this. A good concept that was done LEAGUES better in the deleted scene of the Clone Wars. And that says a lot, that was a fairly short clip too lol. The fight was not only a sincere downgrade in BOTH of their abilities (I get it, they're old, but we've seen old people throw it down before in Star Wars. They are also elite bounty hunters, there's no way they're rusty. I blame it on the choreography.) but it was very anticlimactic. The rivalry between the two never felt genuine because Cad Bane showed up episodes later into this MINISERIES. There was no build up. Next to none of it existed in the show. People will always point to the Clone Wars and say "But but it's all there!" and yeah, sure, but this is a different show. The Clone Wars isn't to the Book of Boba Fett what a gaming manual is to a video game. They are two separate mediums and they will be judged as such. Boba Fett gives up being a Crime Lord? He did fuck all as the Daimyo, what reason do I have to believe this is even a good development arc for him? He just decides to drop his entire goal by the end of the show so we're just back to square one I guess? Not to mention... he claims he wants to be different from Jabba who "Ruled with fear" and opts to "Rule with respect".... but he doesn't even "rule" at all? As a matter of fact, the SAME scene he says this in he scares the other mobster bosses with his Rancor effectively contradicting his "Rule with respect and not fear" dilemma. This show did nothing for Boba. It was just a small advert for Mandalorian season 3. And does it do a good job at that? Lmao you decide for yourselves.

Like, why didn’t he just beat the hell out those gangsters if they are stealing from a business THAT HE PROFITS FROM! All of his skill and weaponry he had in the OT, suddenly decided to be little to nothing in this show. Hell, THE SLAVE 1 DOESN’T EVEN GET ANY USE! He could’ve used it at any point during this series, but it was only used when he got revenge for the Sand People? Actually, why did he care for his captors in the first place? They captured him, used him as a slave, and didn’t even care about his life, yet he protected them? Yea sure… the cold killer for hire suddenly loves some random sand people. I wonder how upset Temura Morrison is about the direction of this show? He probably thought he was going to play the Legends Boba Fett passed off as Canon where Boba became Mandalore and worked with Han Solo and Admiral Daala. He was a morally grey character with an honor code. But no he’s just in this show for the name recognition because if it was a new character no one would watch it because it’s so shit. How is the mandalorian even considered a bounty-hunter? The guy can't plan for shit, can't shoot for shit, every major fight he picks a stick or staff to melee someone instead of blasting. Same shit with Bobba, every fight a headshot or even a gutshot would save him 10 years, he goes full mongo melee, for what lol? Everything related to Star Wars past Rogue One is legit garbage.

I don't remember if that was established in the show for those who were unaware, but if it wasn't, it should've been, because I've seen multiple reviews with people being confused as to why Boba didn't just pull the trigger.

Characters are often hollow automatons displaying themselves only as a product, Disney has no interest in backstory, motivation, or fandom related to what they see as commercial assets. It seems they are systematically working out the perfect algorithm for a monopolised mainstream entertainment, at which point the notion that media can also be art dies. So obvious and entertaining concepts like Black Krrsantan being: Incredibly strong, A mad claw, one of the most feared bounty hunters in the galaxy. Are suppressed, not understood, or considered trivial aspects of his character.

I think we need reminding that a "jump the shark" moment is not necessarily a low point, nor does it necessarily mean that a franchise is on its last legs. Rather the shark jump is the moment when you realize that it has lost the spark that made it special, and that it's likely pretty much downhill from there. The franchise's best days are behind it. Case in point, the namesake Happy Days episode occurred only halfway through its long run, and the show still ran on for five more years after that, with good ratings and spin-off shows. What it did demonstrate, though, was that the writers were starting to struggle to find good stories and ways to keep the show relevant. Taking the characters on an exotic "action" getaway was their attempt to spice things up a bit and bring viewers back.

And after all, what an insane luck that the first person who stumbled upon Grogu was the only person on the planet who knew him! (well, one of six). I didn't think it was possible to fuck up Luke even more than The Last Jedi, but Disney was able to do it...

@@user-xx6vy9ri8p 1) grogu is 50, 2) I can only think of 3 times Luke was almost killed, 2 of which being when he tried to fight a mafia group, so you’re going to have to point out the other 97 times he’s almost died on tatooine, 3) it probably isn’t possible to keep track of every gang war on every planet, never mind one that only lasted like an hour or 2, grogu was most likely sent before the battle even begun, 4) R2D2 landed in the hanger the mandalorian was using at the time, so not a random location

@@dandan6819 1) He is 50 but he doesn't now what armwrestling is, he eats everything he sees and tried to touch darksaber blade. 2) Doesn't matter, stop nitpicking the numbers, Tatooine is a dangerous planet. 3) He knows Jabba is dead and there is power vacuum, and everyone will fight for power. 4) R2 didn't even know that Mando was on Tatooine, let alone which hangar he used.

I have a question. Why didnt the mando armor forge lady didnt take his armor and weapons when she said he is mandalorian no more because he had removed his helmet. Mando was very adament that no one could use mandolorian armor unless they are mandalorian. This is a big plot hole that I dont see anyone talking about.
