A short gameplay comparison of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Comparing the frame rate of the day one patch to the recently released 1.000.003 (3.5) update for PS5
The game is running in performance mode on PS5.
Additional visual features such as Motion Blur, Film Grain and Chromatic Aberration are turned off to get the most accurate results possible.
The resolution in performance mode runs at a maximum of 864p (1536×864) native resolution with a minimum of 648p (1152×648). The resolution is then upsampled to 1440p using AMD's FSR 2.1.
The developers, Respawn Entertainment released a patch for consoles on the 2nd May 2023 with various fixes and performance improvements for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
The frame rate does appear to be slightly improved in some areas and not in others owing to the general variability of performance across a run of play.
Much like my Xbox analysis, I sampled approximately 18,000 frames with the results reported below. There is a slight improvement in both average and minimum frame rates but still very marginal and is still in need of further optimizations.
