Impressive. Most impressive! For some reason, the very first Star Wars figure I had was the AT-AT Commander, seen at 2:22. I must've thought he looked cool to pick him before any of the primary characters!

Now that...is an impressive army. With that many Stormtroopers one is bound to hit a target with its blaster. Very cool to see.

Ha ha. Don't blame me. I stopped buying these on eBay a year back when the prices started going crazy. You can still find them in the wild.

Dave, Ii think the person who thumbs down(s) you all the time must be your secret arch enemy from work… probably an avid Star Wars collector. I think your videos are great! Very relaxing and informative.

Luke is a master of disguise. There is another Luke in there with a helmet. Most of the figures are beaters that I have restored. Only a couple actually look good under close inspection.

Toy Polloi Whoop! whoop! Having a heart from a famous YouTurder is like being touched by the hand of a made up deity.

I remember as a kid you could buy replacement weapons for like $5.00. The kits included like 5 of each type of gun. I think the kit I bought included the air masks (from the Millennium Falcon/asteroid scene) and backpacks. What a shame they are so expensive now.

I did have one of these. But as you say they are now very expensive. The poor quality repro guns work perfectly for my army.

hey, that's a great imperial army! wish i had that many when i was a kid, lol. were i to do a fairly cheap display/diorama i might find me, say, a half inch piece of wood and probably put a slight bevel on three sides of it however i could get it done. then i would take it to a trophy shop and have them cut some aluminum sheet pieces with a glossy black finish (i own a trophy shop, so trust me, this isn't rocket science nor should it be extremely pricey, although the surface of the metal is fairly easily scratched so care is needed handling it), put double-sided tape on the aluminum (or aluminium for you brits, lol) and simple attach to the base, giving a beautiful black, glossy floor and edges. you could even have the 'floor' and sides engraved. there would be a silver seam where the metal pieces met, which you could touch up with a paint pen. even better, have the front and sides double-plated, with a silver border and a slightly smaller black top layer. you could probably finagle black acrylic, but that would certainly cost more (you could find someone to cut this at a frame shop or place that cuts glass such as a window/glass shop). for the back i might just paint, depending on if it would go against a wall. somehow i would have to figure out a background, then beg my wife to photoshop it to a well-tuned finish, and print it out on photo paper. there's certainly some great adhesive i could use to put that on some heavy card stock or even foam core board you can get at the dollar store. some black u-channel trim and figure out how to attach it to the base, which could prove tricky... or just make a light frame out of, say, balsam wood and screw it to the base (for me i would use scrap strips of aluminum from my scrap bin and punch a hole in the bottom strip/s). anyhoo, that's how i would do it using the stuff i had access to. now i just need 200 stormtroopers....

eBay is insane with prices lately. I've resorted to buying loose ones and doing the loose figure trick just to fill out my collection. I'm going to a show this weekend so I'm hoping to buy a bunch. Even on Craigslist people are wanting eBay or higher prices. Guy was selling a earth fader carrying case with no insert for 90 dollars. That's insane

Why not make up a small baseboard to go on the shelf, with shallow holes drilled into it at regular intervals, that the stands will fit into so that the top of the small circular stands are level with the baseboard. Would make things go a lot quicker?

I have been building this over the past 3 or 4 years now as I only buy figures when they are cheap. I have 168 figures now. Probably £3 a figure including stands and weapons.

This is great setup, but if you have a cat, that setup won't last for very long...

It took you three hours just to set up this army!😥 I've noticed some of your snow troops have turned yellow I wonder if a light dipping in bleach would restore the whiteness?
