I loved the overhead swinging by Anakin in the flashbacks. It shows he's always had that aggression, and it even transferred into Luke for a moment in RotJ.

Vader yanking the ship was the hypest moment to me. Just, wow, he's that strong.

The one thing this episode was missing was an emphasis on ObiWan lighting up his lightsaber and repelling the storm troopers when they were trying to escape. It would've been so emotionally gratifying to have him try to single handedly defend all the rebels for like 30 seconds, showing his return to power, and showing the rebels seeing a full fledged Jedi in action for the first time since Order 66. They clearly tried to set up this as a group of the first rebels, and ice cubes son I hope shows up later. Would've been dope to have a slow mo scene with some emotional music showing obi wan as a Jedi protecting the rebels and sparking the first factions of the rebellion.

I didn’t even think of that, but that would’ve been awesome! I mean we kinda had a moment like that, but everyone was fleeing so no one was paying much attention. It would’ve given them hope.

But yeah, if there was ever a 2nd season of Kenobi I'd love to see them show Obi-Wan as more involved in the rebellion than we ever suspected. If he was revealed to be the puppet master of the rebellion from his hermit existence on tattooine, I'd be satisfied with that story arc.

Kenobi should’ve told Reva he did try to stop him. But by then it was too late and order 66 had already happened. He was trying to avoid getting killed himself. I remember these episodes dropped right after the shooting in Texas so the temple scenes hit different.

Thank you Dave and Jon! They know what the fans have been asking for! Just loved how they made sure to get the episode II saber hilts for the flashback scenes.

Dave and Jon had literally nothing to do with this show. They didn't write it, direct it, they weren't even executive producers. Give the credit to Deborah Chow for directing this and Joby Harold for writing it

I will tell how this is so horrifying listen closely in the reva flashback and when anakin is killing the younglings you can literally hear them crying and screaming

It's not that we forgive her or anything. It's just that the justification is a sympathetic one. The pain makes her more human. I recognize that she's done some evil shit, but I still feel for her. Given how the finale went, I'm granting her the possibility of chance, even if she's got a lot of work to do. If Darth Vader can be redeemed then so can Reva

If you look at the way they explained it in Legends, It took quite a few years for Luke and Leia to even tell people that Vader turned back from the Darkside, let alone that he was their father; precisely because most of the galaxy saw his actions as so undeniably evil that there was no redemption. Never understood, as much as i like the character, why fans forget that part.

@@teamredshirtBecause Palpatine trapped him into it and it was Imperial tech keeping him alive. And it was rage and grief driving him more than any inherent tendency he had to be cruel. He didn't start out that way. Palpatine was the instrument of his ruin, the destroyer of his marriage and the ultimate threat to his children. It wasn't Vader they were hiding the twins from.

This is so fun rewatching

The Darth Vader Versus Reva duel reminds me of when Anakin fought Asajj Ventress in the 2003 Clone Wars Cartoon.

Anakin still feels guilt for what he did to the younglings. Wouldn't be the first time he let emotions get the best of him. He could fob it off like he was humiliating her and still come out of it with less guilt.

I can’t help but wish they had Vader do to reva what Anakin did to Dooku, leaving the last episode to focus only on Vader vs Obi pt 3. Honestly it would’ve been much better received and would add to the stakes of this show. Also would’ve made the fight between Vader and Obi longer and more impactful. I was so tired of reva at that point that it really bothered me we were kinda pointlessly following her story in a show about Obi wan. I understand sub plot but idk eh

Yeah I went through exactly this when the LOTR films first came out. Buncha Tolkien nerds constantly going off with "THAT'S NOT HOW IT HAPPENED IN THE BOOKS" It was a relief to be able to watch them again by myself later.

If only Galen Malik was still canon then he would be able to be stronger than Vader and especially the disney version of Vader and that man could bring down a Star destroyer.

Starwars Episodes 1-3 are the original trilogy and episodes 4/9 are the sequels

Obi-Wan was not without its faults. It had a lot of fillers it could have easily done without, and I personally was not a fan of Reva's acting. They should have just made it a 90 minute movie, or shortened it down to 4 episodes or so.

I must say. This was great to watch!! It made my blood pump!! But, there was and is no need to ALLOW all of the words that were used to take the Lord’s name in vein. Too many swears in this! That’s all I’m saying.

That's what it does. It's also deeply situational. I could call my partner "babe," but I wouldn't call a stranger that. I once told my mom, "I hate you," and then we both burst out laughing because of the situation and because of our relationship. "Bitch" is generally a very insulting word, especially when a man says it to a woman, but I've been called that be female or queer friends in a playful non-hurtful way. All language is setting, situation, culture, and speaker specific.

I enjoy most of the Fans but not "8tracdastardly" he is always screaming, extremely vulgar against characters he does not like and also his microphone overdrives every time he is trying to "talk" (screaming) something. Doesn't he have a compressor for it that controls the sound output?
