Watch his interviews regarding the sequel trilogy. He talks a lot about how he wishes Luke would've been written and how he disagrees with the final product. He pretty much says at one point he realized how special Luke Skywalker is to people and he was very humbled by it.

Mark Hamill is probably the most dedicated actor of the Star Wars cast. He is the one guy that keeps the peace in the midst of the arguments of Star Wars, a living legend indeed.

You can see little 2-year-old Adam reappear when Mark comes in and the innocence and joy on his face, it just broke me, so sweet

Most would immediately question their assumption when he said he remembered everything about that time (not something many 1-years can do) as well as written a letter to Mark Hamill (where most US children don't learn to write their full name until at least 5). The fact that she prompted the question in the first place should makes me think that she, as the host asking interview questions, should have done at least the same minimal research I did to know how old he was when those movies came out. But at the end of the day. It doesn't matter - it was a one-off that doesn't change anything. Just thought it turns into more misinformation. There are still loads of people who believe Mr. Rogers was some sort of military hardass, where it was probably someone saying how Bob Ross was likely an MTI in the Air Force.

Seeing Adam Scott's hands shake as Mark Hamill walked in was pure raw emotion. You can tell this meant the world to him on every level.

Mark Hamill is a national treasure, Star Wars brought me so much joy as a child! I am 52 now and still love it!

Mark is the sweetest celebrity. He's not tired of Star Wars, he still plays Joker in the Batman video games. He hasn't let fame get to him the way it gets to most people. He's still having a damn good time.

Look before carefully and you can see he is shaking before mark even comes out. Either he knew beforehand (most likely) or he has an issue shaking. Either way I cried! I would be beside myself! I am a HUGE star wars fan and wanted to be Luke SO BAD growing up. Love that man!

i think he already has a problem with shaking, but mark hamill being there (whether or not he knew it would happen) definitely made it worse.

This never fails to make me tear up.

Mark just seems like such a sweet guy. I'm glad that he has embraced the fact that everyone will remember him for being Luke and not much else.

Mark is the real deal as they say. He hasn’t had the easiest career but he was blessed with immense fame and he’s been a stand up guy for decades, truly loves his fans and is beyond humble. Someone else said, “Mark’s a gift to humanity.” You just can’t say it any better.

Mark should really be contributing towards the writing of the new trilogy. I think he had a very clear vision for Luke and it was probably in line with what a lot of the fans would have wanted to see too. Plus, no one loves this franchise more than Mark Hamill, you know he'd do it justice any chance he can.

What's great about Mark Hamill, besides him being a really nice guy, is that he realizes people love him because of the character he played in the movies and not just because he's Mark Hamill. So he doesn't have a swelled head. He also seems incredibly grateful for having been a part of it.

I love that mark is one of few actors who really leans in to the iconic character - a lot of people shy away from being known for one role but mark embraces it in a way that’s super charming and you can tell he loves his fans and Adam was trying so hard not to FANBOY during the interview love it

I think he's come to terms with it. This has to be the most severe case of typecasting in cinematic history, but Mark seems to have realized that he's forever going to be Luke Skywalker in the minds of all who see him. He totally owns that role... forever.
