Count Dokuu is a very complex character. He started as a Jedi, he was pretty much better than everyone his age, and old. He was cocky, but for a reason. He saw flaws in the Jedi the older he got. And he took an interested into politics. There is much more. But Dokuu had a place in my heart. I wanted (and got) his lightsaber as.a young boy.

Also, the 3 beasties sent in to kill Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padmé are a reek (the rhino-looking one), an aklay (the one that looks like a praying mantis) and a nexu (the tiger-looking one). Obi Won does not sense Anakin's sadness/rage...only Yoda. Star Wars peeps....why was that? Remember when Alderon was destroyed by the Death Star...Obi Won felt the disturbance through the force. Anakin at this point is pretty powerful, not episode iii powerful, but obviously Yoda felt him...

I think Obi-Wan wasn’t as in tune with the force as Yoda who had over 900 years of experience. You have to remember he was still an apprentice when Qui-Gon was killed and was thrust into the role of being a mentor to Anakin. Thrust into the role is a misnomer on my part, as he asked for the responsibility. For that reason Obi-Wan had a blind spot towards Anakin and didn’t see his slow turn to the dark side until it was too late. He still saw Anakin as the sweet little boy he met several years before. When he was “exiled” to Tatooine for lack of a better term he had many years to hone his skills as a Jedi.

Yoda at this point in on the cusp of 900 years old. Yes he uses a cane to walk, sometimes even uses a mini floating cradle to transport in. But when yoda fights he uses the force to move around as fast as he does. That’s why yoda is only super powerful in saber combat in short bursts. He drains a lot of force energy doing that. This trilogy was underrated, other than some of the cheese in the love story and some of the wooden acting, all three of these movies were good. The prequel trilogy is not good. And it didn't suddenly become good over time. You already mentioned the acting and dialogue but that's only half of the problems. The pacing was uneven, the effects are so cartoony that it's comedic at times. Some cool things happened here and there but overall they didn't work. Rogue One is the only quality movie of the newer ones. They told the story perfectly. It was grounded and compelling. Well done, nearly flawless.

@@SurvivorBri I enjoyed the movies from the beginning, didn't take time, including the political aspect of it. Didn't care for Jake Loyd or Hayden, both average actors at best, but you can also look at the first three movies, Mark Hamil was a terrible actor, it's why that aspect of his career never went anywhere. Go watch Corvette Summer, released around '78, it's him on full display and you'll see some bad acting, again. lol As for the pacing, I can agree, but it's Lucas, his only real success has been the SW franchise and American Grafitti. His first three movies weren't some work of art. lol There were too many flaws to even mention, one notable is when he re-released them, during the speederbike chase scene on Endor, it was obvious back then and to this day it was done on the green screen and he still didn't change it. Rogue One was easily the best thing Disney has released, they were bound to get something right, if only by accident. lol

One more comment to, somebody probaly already told yall this. But Jango Fetts son, the one who found his fathers head and had that mischieves laugh, is in the original series the one you guys watched before. His name is Boba Fett and he was the one with the green suit, with a jetpack, who was the bounty hunter after Han Solo. So basically this showed his father dying in this one, and he kinda took his place years after as another notorious bounty hunter, who went after Luke Skywalker. He got his own show to the Book of Boba Fett. Just thought that was a really cool part of this movie.

Fun Fact-Obi Wan had his own Romance with the Duchess of the Planet Mandalore named Satine. They met when Obi and Qui-Gon were assigned to protect her. One of the main reasons Kenobi doesn’t come down on Anakin as much as another Jedi would for fancying Padme. Even Qui-Gon had feelings for a fellow Jedi whom sadly lost her sight during a mission. Satine is a character in the Clone Wars series of Star Wars. But bear in mind there are seven whole seasons of that series if you plan to get into it!

When Count Dooku was a young Jedi, he was Yoda’s padawan. He later became Quo-Gon Jinn’s Master. His back story is fleshed out more in Tales of the Jedi, which are short animated episodes available on Disney+.

Just some trivia for you guys. Count Dooku was the master of Qui-Gon Jin many years ago before turning to the dark side. The farm visited by Anakin and Padme was the future home of Luke Skywalker and the two younger farmers were Luke's Aunt and Uncle from the original movie. Jango Fett was the father of Boba Fett, who was just a child in this movie. He was the bounty hunter who transported Han Solo to Jabba the Hutt's palace in the original trilogy. More will be revealed in time!

I love watching Christopher Lee in anything. This is the second "Count D." character that he has played, since it was the role of Dracula that first really made him a star, and he played it (not counting trivial cameos) in a total of eight movies, which is six more than anybody else has ever done. He was best known for villain roles, though of course those were not all that he played, and my favorite of his villain portrayals is the role of Rochefort in the movies The Three Musketeers and The Four Musketeers, which were made in the seventies with the idea that this would be a single movie, but after filming the producers decided to split it into two and release them a few months apart: they really should be seen together, though, as a single work, and it's hard to exaggerate how great a piece of work it is. It has an all-star cast, and I really want to recommend it to you.

I really appreciate that you have a good sense of humor about the comments on the last one; I'm sure some were harsh. I remember how on the edge of my seat I was, wondering when you would realize it was a prequel that is the story before the old movies, and that was hilarious. So bonus here on these movies of episodes 1, 2, and 3 is that I think they get progressively better and better as they go, with 3 being pretty great. The dialog is frequently a little clunky, but the story is good. So I do hope you enjoy.

It is confusing to first time viewers, episodes 4-6 came out first, then 1-3 came out in 1999, 2002, and 2007. Some good moments in this one. People have suggested others to watch the series The Clone Wars it answers many questions that are not answered in the films. Some didn't like Hayden's performance and thought he got cheesy, he did a good job of what was given to him. Nice reaction, can't wait for your Christmas picks.

Remember, adult Boba Fett was hired by Jabba to bring in Han Solo. Boba was last seen falling headfirst into the pit beast in the Dune Sea. (Return of the Jedi.) This is the start of the Clone Wars referred to in the original trilogy. This is also the start of Anakin's slow fall to the Dark Side. (Illustration of why Jedi padawans are separated from their birth families so young, & why young Anakin was considered "too old" to begin the training. He had an emotional connection to his mother. Incidents like this warp a young Jedi's thinking -- as Anakin's vengeance against the Sand People proves!) Asia, spot on about Senator Palpatine!

Christopher Lee's (Count Dooku) light sabre duels are in my opinion some of the best in the franchise.. likely due to the fact that Christopher Lee had underwent extensive training in 'Fencing' as a young man and into adolescence which I believe he kept up into adulthood. His form is impeccable.
