​@@dalxivader4333 funnily enough, I went through all the lore to leave off my Empire at EpIV plus and Republic at EpIII start w accurate legion compositions, map specific basing, though my own addition is 72 ship TIE Avenger squadrons. Your final mission looks pretty accurate to what the movies would show at endor (bypassing my 10 ship ISD blockades) albeit w your low pop cap, which makes the action clearer like the films and would only be part of a larger chaotic front. The soundtrack is different too on Empire Remake, so this is a beautiful bookend. Screw you for destroying my Empire lmfao

Well..... You really needed to get rid of a large portion of the enemy tie fighters BEFORE you tried to deploy your Ywings. Also, the enemy fighters were doing a lot of damage to your capital ships..... You have a lot to learn my young padawan! lol

Yeah, personally my strategy is to just have a mix of corvettes, frigates, and capital ships until all the tartan cruisers are destroyed. Until tartan cruisers are destroyed, I’d only use fighters and bombers to hit certain key targets not covered by the tartan cruisers, and generally not expect them to come back home.

The hyper velocity gun was also a big factor , as someone suggested i should raid and destroy it before attacking.

I only play as the empire just so I can build the Death Star. The one thing I find annoying are ground battles.

Battles can be even bigger now w the change to a 64 bit system, but they're still working on porting our old saves from 32 bit so you'd have to start fresh or switch back to 32 while waiting

Nothing too fancy, just messing around by giving ai instant build speeds and money so i could fight the executor and death star in Galactic Conquest.

This is why I prefer to blow up the Death Star amongst the ruins of Alderaan... Empire doesn't have a Level 5 station to wipe out your fleet! XD

I definitely could fight without losing many units but as rebels it's just a pain to manage the fighter and bombers since they aren't free like imperial ones.

If you had taken the Com Hardpoint out, the Hyper Velocity gun can't be fired, ground to orbit defense relies on the Com Hardpoint on the Stations

I would give my first born to be able to play this again...on mobile.

So, what do we learned here? Fighters\bombers are useless when playing as Rebellion. Better take corellian corvettes and send them forward dealing\distracting fighters - they will cut enemy lines as knife cuts butter plus they can huntdown emps missile frigats. Speaking of which - you NEED to have your own missle frigates in stack. Artillery - is a key! These guys are too OP vs fighters and stations. First neededs to destroy hangars (cuts reinforcements) then shield gen, then all proton torpedos launchers since it damaging ship`s hull by avoind shield Emps hypervelocity gun is OP, and its impossible to win without heavy losses. MonCalls can survive more than 1 shoots from it, but they are waste of money if you sending them without protection against bombers... ...But it was still an epic "overcoming", rebellion style ) Great for last battle at the game end.

I forgot to mention that I would send a strike team on the planet to destroy the anti orbital cannon so the fleet can have an easier time.

I like it to use the Plasmatorpedo Cruser, the are realy effectiv vs mutch fighter with there mines , why the penetrate the schild!

That's not in the original empire at war. Only for forces of corruption sadly, many units in forces of corruption are op.

It's always better to fight the battles than auto resolve , the game can kill like half your fleet on autoresolves

Well, One would be to make sure to try and conquer all the planets before moving on to the objective planet , it just makes life against rebel attacks much easier Second for battles in space use the broadside cruisers to destroy the rebel bombers/fighter or space station hangers, instead of sending your victories or acclamators. And for the Imperials fighters and bombers are expendable so you don't need really need to worry about losing them (so use them for suicide runs if you have the victory cruisers or star destoyers which have a lot of fighters and bombers in reserve)

Empire is easier? they don't have to worry about fighters , they have victory cruisers with ion weapons. It's a different story for the Corruption cause they are op in a different way

What a shitty strategy! 12 Mon Cal Cruiser,7 Assault Frigate,1 Nebulon B Frigate,4 Corvette,3 A Wing Squadron,3 X-Wing Squadron,8 Y-Wing Squadron,1 Flett Commander and Han Solo Loss to 1 Level 5 Space Station,2 Star Destroyer, 3 Acclamator Cruisers, 1 Broadside Cruiser, 3 Tartan Cruisers, 1 Tie Scout and an unarmed speeder bike unit destroyed Man is that embarrassing. 1. Misdeployed Units (Mon Cal Cruisers vs Fighters and Bombers, Small Units vs Space Station) 2.Wrong attack tactics (constant change of attack targets, opponent could load his shields several times) 3. Wrong attack targets (proton torpedo launchers are attacked last) 4.Special abilities are used too little (wrongly). I would never serve under such a leader, I would rather desert (sacrifice any units and how many to win). Of course you have to win in a war, but not at any price. If the rebels had fought like that, Yavin would have been over been.
