Wow, I didn’t even realize the rarity of finding these in the wild. I have 3 local Walgreens and each location had about 4 troopers. I Bought 3 from each location

Still looking. I’ve hit 5 Walgreens and no luck. Gonna have to venture further away from home and keep rechecking the others. A pre-Order would have been so nice. Nice review. Keep up the good work.

I used to not care about black line or not, then I changed my opinion, black line all they way. I added the black line to one of my Clone Shock Troopers, it's not perfect, but it looks good. Hopefully I'll find this guy out there sometime. Great review. 👍

Thank you for making this Justin. After seeing the comparison with the theatrical version, I'll pick up 2 KOs and paint it. What got me is how visually the line from the shoulders to the chest doesn't line up. My channel needs more content any ways. Thank you for saving me time and gas by not hunting this down. Sorry if this seems nit-picky. I believe if Hasbro doesn't make the figure the way I think it should be, I should make it the way I think it should be.

I’ve been to about 7 area Walgreens in the last week looking for this now that Yakface is reporting it’s starting to appear in the USA, but so far I’ve struck out at all of them. It’s gonna take a while and a lot of luck to find one I suspect. Thanks for giving us a good review!

FYI: I just picked one up today sitting all alone on the a shelf at a Walgreens in Lockport New York State. although it was strangely sliced with a box cutter on 3 sides. looked like an inside job? obviously their fault but the lady who was stocking when I found it said still no discounts. lol they get kinda touchy when you ask them. no worries. im out of the box collector. So I will get over it. lol Love your channel for black series talks. SO confirmed: The 212th HAS ARRIVED in America!

Funniest thing about this figure is that it was one of my first black series figures… I was in Walgreens and bought it thinking “cool a clone trooper figure!” I had no idea how elusive it was so ofc I found it without even looking😂

Been scratchin’ my head about why the helmet looks so bare too. Obviously there’s the black line missing, but something else just feels off as well. Nice to have a 212th army builder though! Gotta admit I prefer the order 66 ver. Though

Another reason the helmet looks so bare is simply because of the design of the 212th legion. The only paint they have on their helmet is the triangular shaped bit on the top of the helmet. 501st has paint filled in on the cheeks, as well as the Coruscant Guard. Hard to say honestly, it probably depends on how clogged the shelf is. Most locations will only get a few in at a time because they split up the case assortment between store locations. -Justin

Excellent review Justin! Man I gotta tell you this is one of the harder comparison pics for me to make. The side by side of the new one versus the order 66 pack… The body on the new one is just so much better obviously minus the kneepad fiasco, the helmets it’s so hard to tell I just don’t know. The black line does look better on the movie version... can you swap the heads lol. Honestly I would say swap the heads fix the kneepads and you’ve got a pretty perfect trooper shoulder pads could maybe be swapped also🤷🏼‍♂️. Lol we love to nitpick don’t we😂😂😂. Anyway, great work job, keep up the good work and positivity! I’ll see you on the chat on Sunday. Appreciate you checking it out, Nate! You cannot swap the heads due to the newer Black Series figures having the dumbbell joints and updated neck articulation. Haha. I do think the new helmet is a little "bobblehead" in the sense that it's too big because they are fitting a head sculpt underneath. I'd rather them just nail the proportions instead of worrying about fitting a head in there. See you on Sunday and thanks for the awesome explanation of your new username! -Justin

If they glue the knee pad on the knee then you cut the amount of movement the knee can do before getting scraped by the knee pad

Cover with painting tape around the line, then buy some good paint (vallejo or humbrol are the best ones for me) and then apply a mate varnish with a spray can (also vallejo sells these spray cans)

It certainly does match with Cody a lot better, reason being Commander Cody is also a theatrical, live action figure when it comes to the design as opposed to the animated series like this one is. -Justin

Awesome review. My stance is you don’t have to like the missing black line if you acknowledge it’s not inaccurate. If it came like this is a ROTS box then it’s valid criticism on accuracy. For example the jet trooper design originated in clone wars but by choosing to release it as gaming greats that means the black line is accurate but if that same figure was in the clone wars box without the black line that would also still be accurate. Dying to get this guy! Clones rule!

However, the Black Series has always put animated characters through the "if they existed in live action" filter when designing the figures. Point and case being the Rebels crew, Fox, Wolffe, etc. Using that logic they should all just have the black line. I hope you find some soon, my friend! -Justin

Pretty cool figure, but I'd honestly rather try to track down the ROTS version, because when it comes to Star Wars, I'm a movie fan above all else, and I prefer the live-action look over the animated. The lack of articulation on the old clone body doesn't really bother me, because for me it's more about how the figure looks than how it poses. Great review as always, it's cool that Ka-Bashed got the figure to you guys so early, because it's going to be a nightmare trying to find this guy in stores. Keep up the great work here on the channel, and may The Force be with you.

Great review, Justin. It's a good figure on solid clone mold, but the black line is sorely missed. This guy should've been a mainline release that everyone can army build.

Great review Justin. I am still waiting for this figure across the pond, but just received the Ahsoka,Death Watch Mandalorian wave, distribution seems to be a mess at the moment. I think the figure looks fantastic although i do miss the black line, without it the helmet looks unfinished and bland in my opinion but it is what it is.

I definitely preferred the aesthetics of the old clone trooper but hands down would still rather own clones with the new body simply due to the sculpt and articulation. It’s a shame they can’t just release every clone on the Rex/Bly body with theatrical interpretation paint apps ahah

That's pretty much where I am at as well, I prefer the new body for sculpt (actually looks like a person in the armor) and the articulation. One thing I don't like about the new body is the small shoulder armor. Thanks for checking out the review, F! -Justin

It still baffles me why Hasbro thinks they need to stick to the accuracy of the cartoon stylization other than they might save a fraction of a penny on a line of paint. I love the articulation of the new clones but they have not really made the most out of that mold.

Thanks for the review. When I got word these guys were popping up, I was ready to spend but after seeing the review...think I'm gonna pass. I have a 3.75 army build of the 212th and I was excited when I heard a black series release but seeing this review...it's wow. I've already come to grips of forgiveness for the Republic Commandos line...but this one? Absolutely not especially given the amount of time it has taken for this guy to appear. If nothing else, they should have just done an Archive release of him.

The black line thing is annoying because they’re always adamant about bringing the animated characters into the live action aesthetic, so it should have the black line to “fit in” with the rest of the line.
