Star Wars Battlefront II Mods (PC) HD: Malachor V | SWBF2: KOTOR Demo

In this video I'm going to be playing Malachor V, which is a new demo release for the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront II: KOTOR mod by HighValorius.
Summary:
Alright so I enjoyed this map a lot, having played through it several times. The map's layout is very labyrinthine, with lots of tight twists and turns that are often difficult to navigate. The centre of the map is made up of a bridge section which acts a choke point, it is here that the majority of combat occurs. Contesting over this point will sway the battle in favour of the side that claims it first, allowing you to push the enemy back further into their own territory. The dark and barren landscape of Malachor V is recreated fairly well with some definite resemblance to the planet's appearance in the Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords game. The only light sources being provided via beams shining through cracks in the caverns is used well to capture the grim atmosphere of Malachor V, but it's a little too dark in some places and some extra light sources could go a long way. The models used for the new weapons, units and heroes look great - they look like they were ported from KotOR II but I'm not certain. There's a few bugs present including the infamous floating weapon icon glitch, as well as some collision issues and it also seems the officer class' grenade launcher does very little/no damage. All in all though, this seems like an excellent start for a demo release and I can't wait to see what comes next!
Pros:
+ New heroes - Mandalore the Ultimate & Jedi Master Revan.
+ New map designed very well and fun to play through.
+ New models for weapons and both Mandalorian and Old Republic sides.
Cons:
- Floating icon bug, weapon localisation and collision issues.
- Map is too dark is some places - some extra lighting would be great.

Hey there! Thanks for your awesome review! To answer a few questions. The models are ported from KOTOR I & II and some are made by fantastic KOTOR modders. All of the maps will be ported, I edited some KOTOR models, like the Revan one to fit his look in the comics. I plan to fix collisions and that annoying grenade wont explode bug. I plan to add music from KOTOR and custom character voices, I hope to complete this map before the month is over.

Thanks! I agree, for some reason KOTOR models have more detail then SWBFII models, haha. I've got a lot of ideas, hopefully they'll work in SWBFII.

Naɪ.ə.lɨs Valorius The ported models are nice but having a Kotor mod with no melee weapons is kinda lame. This mod will get old fast if all you can use are rifles and grenades. Give us some vibroblades to play around with.

It is nice to see a video from you again. These are now a treat to watch and am thankful when you do upload and hope you continue doing so. I am not sure if you are aware but the modder released an earlier version the same day that had some problems with falling through the ground at certain spawn points but he fixed it with this version (I think).

I did fix them, but after playing it over. I realized some of the collisions are not working again, modders life..

Hey, there's a new version of this mod coming out tomorrow. Might want to check it out.
Do you edit in the KOTOR music post-production, or is it already a part of the mod? Because I have all the base KOTOR mods, and it just has the normal music, is there like a separate music mod, or is it just in these new mods (Once again, if it was ever in there in the first place)
Impressive. Can't wait for it to come out. Do you know if it's going to be a conversion mod or just an addon (translated: Will I have to replace conversion pack 2.0 and BFX 2.2 with this?)

It's independent of both of those, it's is own Mod.

I don't really like this map. Troops meet at the center and that's it. Until either reinforcements drop you just shoot and die. Then you proceed straight forward in the end. There should be at least another way, maybe a secret passage that allows you to avoid the centre

good mod but can you actually make the characters speak the way they supposed
Its a good mod however both factions voices needs to be changed into the old republic instead of the 501st and 212th voices
