My favorite part of the game was the use of the soundtracks...totally absent in the new one. Spawning as Obi-Wan and hearing "Battle of the Heroes" in the background was fucking epic and still is.

It's because the empire wanted to eliminate any threat, so they had to get rid of the old cloning facilities on kamino because the kamino guys started making their own clones to fight against the empire

Wasn't really that difficult to pan out... literally stated the clones had a rebellion against the new empire forming. Brothers against brothers as those who stayed loyal to the old republic would be mass murdered.

My first day as a member in the 501st, it was hot, it was sandy. Chaotic, nothing at all like the simulations on Kamino of course that's pretty much the way it was for all of us wasn't it? All that breathing all those years of training, it doesn't really prepare you for all the screaming or the blood does it? Frankly, I'm still amazed that we made it through the first hour, never mind the first day.

I love how they film the cutscenes with gameplay

While these older games are still fun and amazing to play, you got to remember they're not as cinematic as newer games, so they don't always flow well as game movies. We try to do the best we can, overall the greatness of the game still shines through in my opinion. BTW we did use HD mods to make the gameplay look better.

Agreed. The CIS rebellion and the Clone rebellion were great consequences the 501st had to face off against. In the Kimino mission, I felt sick to my stomach that I had to massacre for the sake of the story. I read the lore, books and my love for them in the animated series when I replayed the game. Then to destroy the life support or potentially hundreds of birthing units, had me feel sick. I was killing the same men I called friends. I understood them and refused to give them a chance. I love that mission and wish the difficulty was tougher on the player. As well as the inclusion of dialogue between Clone to Storm troopers.

wh3nderson95 That very emotion in the mission in Kamino showed was really heartbreaking for the 501st clones for not only the clones were friends, but because they were paired up in squads based on their birthing units like for example Domino and Bravo squads, they were brothers despite looking the same and different personalities. Even the rejects like 99 would also become close and even 99's actions put in a new light for the malfunctioned clones with his sacrifice as a real soldier just like his brothers. It's also said that the only remnant of that legendary army only remains with the 501st aka Vader's Fist while they became isolated and alone with future Jango Clones only directed to their unit while others not only recruited, but also cloned from various human sources from the recruits. On Mustafar I liked cause the CIS is given a stronger light and that a power like that won't just be destroyed so easily and (by doing research) some groups joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic aka the Rebel Alliance (though they also acquired the tech from salvage, abandoned/forgotten bases, and bought from multiple sources just like the Empire who had more currency and means of force until the Death Star projects and other problems) . Even Naboo's rebellion and (I do say it) the Force Unleashed games and comic (Boba Fett as the main character while syncing with the 2nd game very well) help paint just how the galaxy and certain things were like such as Kashyyyk and Felucia under Imperial rule (Star Wars the Clone Wars does mention the Native Felucians from the game in addition to showing their own in the show from season 2 17, season 3 21 & season 6 (lost episodes) 10).

Too bad the Men of the 501st were offered retirement after the battle of Hoth. If they were at the battle of the Forest Moon of Endor the Empire probably wouldn't have suffered and embarrassing defeat from cuddly little forest teddy bears.

The clones had I think around twice the growth rate of normal humans, so by the time of hoth I think almost all the original clones were gone because they were too old. I'm not positive though

This is a great story, it really gets into the perspective of a suicide army (the 501st) and how scared they really were of the war, and how they didn't want to take out the Jedi. A good story that didn't get told in the second triology

Javier Luna The republic was equal with democracy, too much bureaucracy to be an efficient system. Just like the 1920 german weimar republic that adopted democracy, it was overthrown by Adolph Hitler by the same trick Palpatine overthrew the republic by gaining temporary special rights that both of them never gave back.

Damn, I remember my cousin and I coming home from school a long time ago, and hooking up the Xbox to play Battlefront 2. And that was back when gameplay was better than graphics.

Rise of the Empire and Clone Wars got me to love the clones.

This was the first game I ever played. I was 4 years old when my parents bought me the PS2, and neither did I, nor my parents knew anything about how to play video games, but all I remember is playing all the single player modes. Now I realize how lucky I was to have experienced such a fine work of art. Watching you play this campaign has brought back so many memories. No game I have played today hits as hard as the older games, and that’s a fact, and I know all of you know that. EA, take notes.

Now that it's backwards compatible I would suggest getting it. It's $50 less than most games are today at their stock $60. It's my personal favorite game of all time.

I played Battlefront 2 when I was 7 years old! And it still will be the best game ever!

Jake Bennett I was baffled and heart broken when the first EA game came out. I was expecting something even bigger and better than this battelfront 2 because it had been like 10 years. I was expecting a battlefront 3. Instead we got EA battlefronts that felt like they were trying to catch up to the level of the 2004 battlefront 1😂

Love how you guys put The Force Unleashed theme for the intro!

I still remember the little beep/ringing sound when you complete the objective. Ahhh good times. I do wish the new Star Wars Battlefront had done a campaign. Especially with good graphics, it could've been amazing! Battlefront 2 was so fun :)

It's funny how the storm troops in this game barely miss.

I remember I could never get past the Jedi temple level, cos I found it so hard to defend the book shelves from the Jedi 😔. Swbf2 will always have a special place in my heart

Wow, I had no idea the story of this game was so elaborate and creative! Haven't played the campaign since I never owned the game, just played with friends who did. It's really nice to get another perspective of the whole thing, makes for a completely different story. Suddenly you can relate a bit with the troopers. Strange but refreshing feeling! That being said, I don't feel this story needs to be redone. It still stands on its own in this game, even if a visual update would be nice. The story in this game, I assume, is not canon and to reimplement it in the new Battlefront game would feel redundant and weird. Besides, DICE is better at making multiplayer games anyway. The new game DICE are making feels directed to the fans of the original saga. This game feels more directed to the people that didn't find the prequels that bad, and that want to emerge in the EU. I can relate to both, which is why I think it's a good thing the new and old games are as different as they are.

David Lint thats wasnt the 501st that killed her it was a heartless group of clones (literally they had no empathy) and they shot her down brutally over others even after she was dead

the new one is considered a reboot...but reboots are for the ENTIRE story not just half

We all played this game so damn much that we know everything about it...the MODS just make it better x)

I just had a thought.. you guys should do a game movie for Star Wars: Republic Commando :) I loved that game :) I think it would be cool :)

Still better than the battlefront developed by dice, it sucks.

+Richard Phist The game developed by dice is actually better graphics, better mechanics etc. it is just the lack of content and a campaign really. Battlefront 2 was SOO much fun and it made my childhood, but honestly it was really buggy and I can hardly call it a better shooter than the new battlefront.

I missed this game! It was one of my favorite.

Can’t wait to replay this game!

My only complaint is that the gameplay itself could be a bit better. I love this game and I do owe a lot of myself to this game. I'd just like for you all to do the gameplay more justice, Star Wars in particular. Thanks

Miles Johnson Admittedly our gameplay is lacking here. We're not mouse and keyboard guys, and programs like Xpadder just have a terrible lag. Battlefront had the option to bind the keys to a control pad, but it wouldn't work no matter what we tried. That's why we usually stay away from older PC games for these game movies, but the mod looked so good, we couldn't pass it up. But I'll keep that in mind and make sure we do better in the future. For the most part, our gameplay is good in any game movie we do, but mouse and keyboard just isn't our thing. Thanks for the real and positive criticism

+Gamer's Little Playground This game was on PS2 but the controls were bad and beating the game seem impossible. though on pc the ai is even worse in my eyes in ps2 the ai would kill you so fast and usually never miss.

Order 1 Help the Jedi out for some reason Order 2 Kill the queen Order 3 Give thousands of hints telling the Jedi that Palpitine is a sixth lord Order 66 (skipped the other 63 for some reason) NOW REVEAL OURSELVES AS SITH LORDS Makes no sense why wait to execute order 66 when you could just do it as soon as you become chancellor and not help them win

I heard it was a good read from reviews I have read online. hopefully the book is as good as other people have said it is. have you ever read this book? And also is peace sells your favorite megadeth album? mines rust in peace, peace sells and united abominations in that order.

Mike Brandt Yeah I have it and it's a pretty good read, it tells you how everything started, how he dealt with his problems and lots of interesting little stories about various things. I like Anthony Kiedis' autobio more but Dave's is very interesting too. Favourite 3 in order: Peace Sells, Youthanasia, Dystopia

+Walamonga 1313 have you gotten Dave elffesions (check spelling) yet? I think it's called my dance with deth or something similar to that. I was looking into it. I also believe there's a megadeth autobio as well or something similar.

Who else is here because the classic collection sucks and doesn't show half the cut scenes?

The best feature of this game is when you use one of those transport ships to dock inside the enemy ship only to have an instant strong hold inside the space craft. One of many best ways to battle the enemy face to face.
