The Jedi Council lost its way and was blindly following Palpatine (the senate) instructions. When you watch "the clone wars series" you can clearly see and understand that. From a certain point of view Anakin never lost his “beliefs” because he never truly believed in the Jedi dogmas to begin with.

I like to think of this as a sinister Battle of the Heroes. So instead of heroes, it is the villains, the sith. And instead of Battle, it’s Duel. So the Duel of the Sith.

The lightsaber fight in the middle of the film even then was bad. So slow and clunky, like two toddlers fighting. There was even a point where Kylo used a reverse hilt (holding his sword backwards) and Rey copies him for no reason. It’s so stupid, it is genuinely like watching two kids fighting with sticks pretending they’re lightsabers.

This whole trilogy lacked big booming musical cues. The Prequels and OT had these huge riveting soundtracks and I can't remember how any of the music goes in the Sequels.

I get the feeling it probably did happen, or close enough to the same time. Ironically the only one who succeeded in their duel against the Dark Side wielder was Obi-Wan. Yoda quickly realized that despite his immense power as a Grand Master, he was no match for Sidious. Ahsoka technically beat Maul but then Order 66 blew everything straight to hell as the Clone Army turned into the Imperial Army

Unfortunately that couldn’t happen. The clones didn’t turn on Ahsoka till after the ahsoka/maul fight meaning that the three fights physically couldn’t have happened at the same time because Anakin hadn’t turned yet.

Then clearly you don't know your Prequel music. There were a few themes and call backs. One of the most prominent was Kamino's theme, which played frequently in the scenes between Zorri and Poe.

The darkness. It didn't show up with Disney, no. Signs of our decay could have been witnessed many years ago. When Return of the Jedi released, a few of us claimed it was non cannon for them, that it was bad. Then came the special editions and the prequels. Then, our community was doomed to plunge into a long period of internal war.

No kidding: When I went to see the movie, this song played when Rey and Kylo were figthing in Death Star's Ruins. It's no a joke, they actually put this in the movie, or at least, when I was there.
